Personally, Should I be lucky enough to purchase this device sometime soon, I will just wait for the official dosing capsules to be released. Sure you can mod the CU or the Capsules, but I doubt the wait will be long and I'm sure it will be worth it.

Big and Bouncy
I just measured the AVLP gold plated caps at 15mm diameter but only 6mm in height compared to the 10mm height of the S&B so the height is perfect but worried about the width. Will a 15mm diameter cap fit inside the oven? Doesn't seem like it since the S&B at 13mm appear to fit snugly.

Noticed a few times it didn’t buzz when reaching temperature but did at other times; at first I thought this was because it was already at temperature but it’s done it from cooler temps too, no buzz but green light and display indicator are saying it is.

About the vibration, in demand mode, there's a certain tolerance when the temp is reached so if you activate it back to back, it will still be at the set temperature meaning it didn't need to reach it again so there will be no vibration.

Oof. Paypal blocked my payment for "my protection" because it looks like a scam... I think their AI just saw a bunch of payments and thinks it's a scam. Now I'm waiting on a response to my email to see how to resolve this.

edit: resolved :)

I am watching Troy’s first look video. I did not realize, but that thing looks huge, and I am pretty sure my hands are half the size of his… Coming from a Dyna, a Vapman and a Pax, it would feel like a beer can

It seems rather awesome though.

I have just ordered a Lotus (finally caved, after years of wanting to try one…
:D
), so I can’t afford such a big expense for now, and I think I’ll keep my money to buy weed instead of another new toy for a while, but I am really looking forward to read more from testers, especially regarding reduced amount in the bowl and microdosing.

Enjoy your Frolicking

The heater is really powerful - I haven’t tried on demand mode yet but in session mode you could easily knock out the bowl in 3-4 big pulls if that’s what you’re after. I like to sit and toke on it for the full 5 minutes if possible so temp stepping is helpful there but I’ll need to play around with the airflow control to dial it in to where I really want to be.

At the minute I’ve had the airflow fully open because it’s so wide open compared to my other stuff that there’s a novelty factor there for now.

So far I don’t regret my purchase at all. I can’t speak to the cleaning yet because I haven't had it long enough for it to need cleaning, but there is a small brush included in the box that’s more than adequate for getting any left over crumbs of abv out of the oven or mesh on the cooling unit. I can’t imagine it being any more of a ballache than any other vape with this style of cooling unit though.

Battery life seems good and the battery is removable for external charging/swapping out on the go. Threads on the battery cover are smooth and it is easy to access.

It feels chunky but the texture on it is nice and grippy and even though it’s plastic it does feel premium. You will notice it in your pocket though. I normally keep my vape in a smell proof bag in a backpack anyway so not an issue for me. You’d be compromising on the heater and or the battery to make it any smaller I think and the trade off is worth it imo. I was worried it would feel light in the hand but it has a nice weight to it.

I’ll be having a half loaded bowl next so I’ll report back with my thoughts

So, who of the early receivers is willing to share (our make) some microdosing, low temp experiences, while EU folks are still awaiting their invoices?
When you say low temp what are you wanting? It was lovely at 180 if that’s where you’re at? Was actually surprised at the thickness of the vapour I was getting from it at 180 and the flavour was solid! There’s a lot of variables though, like I’ve commented above you could take 3-4 huge pulls and it would be spent at 180 and need turning up, or you can sip on it and get a full 5 mins on it.

It also does that thing S&B vapes do where it’s chugging so well that vapour keeps whisping out of the mouthpiece even when you aren’t inhaling cause it’s desperate to throw it at you

180 is pretty good, but 170 is even better for flavor chasing, you should still get clouds and will get more hits, especially with pure convection the temp settings can be a bit more relative depending on your exact use inhaling as that creates the vapor

And this implies radiant heat during a session (S&B are hybrids with plenty of conduction and only session style so yeah, they're constantly creating the vapor for you, which is polarizing), since you cannot fully clear your hits as well, it makes sense there would still be vapor rising out... So hard to use pure convection this way, using on demand is just so much more efficient, and seemingly in the spirit of the extraction style... Probably keeps things cleaner too
