Went to GoldFlower before heading up for Thanksgiving to snag some deals.
Ended up getting some G8 for only $15, and some Gelato Kushmints for around $37.
G8 is 24% thc and 2.13% terps, harvested end of September
Gelato is 25% at 3.14% harvest early October.
G8 is smaller nugs, but they are bright and colorful with some nice orange hairs.
Smell is STRONG of fruity pebbles, but with a very unique alcohol-like sour that I was able to get some others to smell as well.
Gelato is 1 huge nug and 2 smaller ones. Smell is also very strong, less on the fruity, more on the peppery, but that similar sourness to it as well.
This bud is large dark and sticky, some small purple specks with dark orange hairs. Reminds me of some pre-legality dank outdoor grows I used to get when I was younger.
I can't express how much these flowers smell. It basically nauseated the household when I whipped it out and I had to keep it locked away in my suitcase but that really didn't do any good.
I can't see a huge difference in quality between the G8 and the Gelato, despite the difference in price.
I'd highly recommend GoldFlower. They hit somethin a little different than most of these other dispensaries.
I'm always pleased when the nose hits a different note than what I'm used to.

My experience today was very dissatisfactory. Went to TL for $15 eights, oh we sold out of those on Friday...went to Fluent...only 3 sugars above 80%, again we got nailed this week....Green Dragon, similar only 3 1/8's of what I wanted, although they said they didn't even get a shipment this week. The drawback of not being in a big city....I bet all the big cities had plenty of stock the whole long weekend

A good thing that happened was that when I got the flower from Green Dragon, upon getting home, I grabbed one of the 1/8's and immediately I was like this is heavy...and then remembered hearing that Green Dragon 1/8's come in glass jars and indeed they do...VERY nice touch.

Been back to Goldflower a few times now, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Their "Ideal" brand is their main high quality top tier line.
Then they have some other brands and some other lines. I'm not sure I totally understand the full system yet.
"Ideal" has been the best though so far.
The others I've gotten have been great smelling, great looking, and great vaping, but there is a lower quality taste to it that I've seen some other dispensaries get as well. It's almost like the gassy flavor was over or under cured, and gives more of a soily flavor.
But, by far the best part of the experience so far, has been the support from the budtenders.
I've only interacted with two people, but one in particular has been fantastic.
I currently have a strain (Coco Chanel) that is that classic orange-cream type flavor that I've found in a few strains now.
They have another strain (Positive Mental Attitude), which is very high in "terpinolene", which can also give off that same flavor.
Wanting some variety, I asked the lady if this terpinolene dominant strain (PMA) was the same type of orange as the other strain I have (CC).
She immediately knew what I was referring to, actually called CC more "grape", which I can definitely taste now that I have it in my head, and she told me the PMA was more of that classic jack-herer, sharp type of citrus, not the smooth citrus of CC.
I knew right away what she was describing, so I confidently grabbed it, and it was absolutely exactly what she described.
It is very refreshing having someone who actually understands flavors, terpenes, and their own product.
The buds are very flavorful, very sativa-y looking, and quite hairy for dispensary buds.
A win for sativas.
I also noticed they had a strain called "onions" or something like that, and assumed it was from a GMO cross, and she knew right away that is what it stemmed from.
As I think I've said, the first time I brought up terpenes she goes "oh let me whip out the spreadsheet for you", which had them all laid out by percentage and price.
I then asked about concentrates, and she goes "personally, I'm going home with some Scooby Snacks Rosin Badder tonight". 8% terpenes, Limonene leading iirc, I said sign me up.
That rosin is fantastic, and definitely comparable to Sunburn Rosin. It is also 90u, and was only $36 discounted.
It is a gassy strain, but instead of coming through as just gas, or often a bit of a burny taste that I get from gassy strains, it's pungent but smooth and complex. Flavor holds consistently through a session.
I previously grabbed one of their "Jams", and similar to Sunburn, I couldn't get great flavor out of it.
It starts melting very quickly and at lower temps compared to badder, and I just can't consistently squeeze flavor out of that yet. The smell was great though, and the flavor was great on very low temps. Just didn't hold.
The main takeaways from my visits so far have been
Interact with the staff (assuming all stores are this good)
"Ideal" is great
"Ideal BZ" are their smalls, also great, and better than full sized from their other brands in my short experience
Badder is fantastic so far, but will avoid jams
Deals more often than they initially lead me to believe
Main popular strains are often excluded from deals unless it's storewide

Another trip to Goldflower. No discounts available so had to use my 30% off 2nd buy discount.
Got Voyager 1, a solid looking Sativa with long buds, and a sour-limey Jack Herer nose to it. Similar to other FL sativas we get. 3.2% terps w/ Terpinolene leading if I recall correctly.
Also snagged a gram of Oregon Diesel Rosin, about 6.5% terps, but the smell is fruity and tropical, and looks great. Similar to something like Sunburn's MTN Trop, although not so exaggerated on the orange, more of just a general sweetness.
They have a lot of brands they sell, and I had a new person so figured I'd ask for a second opinion. Regardless of the comparison, she always said their "IDEAL" brand comes out on top compared to all the others. Some are the same price, some are cheaper, but IDEAL seems to be the way to go.
Was $60 for the concentrate, $50 for the flower, but 30% off brought it to around $75. Definitely more on the expensive end.

I gotta see if there's a Sundown near me, I don't think there is. I gotta say, I have been impressed with what I've gotten from Green Dragon my last two trips and hopefully this weekend if they have what I want...I really like their wax concentrate.

Just have to mention that I've been really enjoying Fluent's batter, they just started carrying it in my area and I like it a lot better than Ayr and definitely on par or better than TL.

Went to Rise today and picked up 4/8ths of OMG and 4/8ths of Bananaconda.
1) what a great deal ...buy 8 and get a 60% discount...I ended up paying $20/8th for their premium flower
2) each 8th was between 1-3 buds ...all good looking buds
3) have only tried the OMG so far..vapes nicely

I really enjoyed that Bananaconda both in flower and concentrate...one of the best I've had from Rise for sure.

I've consistently been on the Goldflower game since I found 'em downtown.
I've made a few stops to RiSE since then when Goldflower isn't discounted, and popped into Sunburn once for some Rosin that was great as usual.
Goldflower definitely has an edge when it comes to uniqueness though.
Every 90u Rosin badder they've had have all been delicious and right up there with Sunburn's 90u. 90u just seems the way to go.
Today, goldflower had 50% off. I snagged an eighth of:
Mule Fuel at a whopping 4.25% terps and 27.5% thc, harvest January 8th.
Goofiez at a whopping 4.29% terps and 22% thc, also harvested Jan 8th.
The Mule Fuel is pretty much one large nug and a smaller one, and moist to the touch. Good gassy smell as you'd imagine by the name.
This is 34 brand by Ricky Williams. I typically only go for Ideal, but it's still grown by Ideal if I understand correctly, and the budtender was very excited when I asked if it was good (as the numbers were amazing).
The Goofiez are smaller nugs, but my eyes almost had to adjust for a second, as this bud is very different from almost anything I've seen from dispensaries.
Dark purple and green buds, with some very bright attention grabbing orange hairs. The smell is pure sour (leaning on the fuel end, not citrus) and it is amazing.
I get such excitement every time I show up to Goldfower. I know with a bit of research, whatever I get is going to be bomb, and the budtenders have never steered me wrong.
The woman that I typically get there that I've mentioned before, has continued to be at the top of her game. Knows flavors off the top of her head, genetics, etc. Any question I have about any particular strain, if she hasn't tried it, she knows the experience of the customers. 10/10

That actually WAS my nickname in 1979... Loved the first Battlestar Galactica at the time.... It's dated really badly. One episode had a hokey western theme, and a bullet-dented and deranged Cylon was the sheriff... I think... Towns people called him Redeye. Some other smoker called me that and it stuck. Why cmdr, I don't know! Thanks.

On topic, FL patient here. Got Purple Pops at Curaleaf... Beautiful purple buds, at 14%.
Think I got GMO at Planet 13 for $40, but it's 30%. Personally prefer Planet 13, friendliest and cheapest. Sunburn's great but kinda spendy. Curaleaf somewhere in the middle... Don't love TruLieve. The pricing games get old.

Is Plant 13 in FL yet? I've seen them recreationally in Vegas I believe.
I've been a big fan of Sunburn. Their flower doesn't always bring out the best flavor for me in vapes, but some are huge winners, and the buds always look and smell great. Knowledgeable staff where I go.
Their 90u Rosin is amazing too.
Glad you found something great at Curaleaf! I have them basically a 5 minute skate across the street from me. I don't go often, but they're my emergency pickup if I don't want to go anywhere, and know I can get something very cheap without looking ahead of time.

I've seen mixed things on Cookies via FB groups. Haven't checked those groups in about a year though so no idea what's changed.
Ayr is pretty average, but they're low priced budget, and are consistent in their averageness. You pretty much know what you're gunna get.
I tend to prefer them to Curaleaf for budget. They used to be my go-to before prices dropped and quality went up elsewhere.

I can't believe the deal I scored at Green Dragon on Saturday...$15 gram concentrate, 70% THC very nice wax in both Hybrid and Indica. When I saw $15 I thought for sure they would be sold out since we are a smaller market where I live...nope, got 10 
@Cmdr. Redeye I loved the first rendition of Battlestar Galactica...I love Sci-Fi...just started re-watching Farscape (ended far too soon)...big fan of Babylon 5, of course most of the Star Treks and others.
