I've been on vacation for the last few weeks, and luckily packed exactly the right amount to run out the day I got back. So I stocked up, but had to visit two dispensaries to do so. Most don't have much, if any, concentrates right now. And Curaleaf doesn't have any flower worth getting.

First stop was Curaleaf for the buy 3 get 2 free sale, where I got 2g of Layer Cake crumble, one of Lilac Diesel crumble, and one of Black Widow shatter. Plus one select elite cart. The Layer Cake crumble is very wax-like, in a good way. And it is one of the best tasting concentrates, including rosins, that I've tried.



Here's the 2g of Layer cake crumble/wax. I've had a couple amazing dabs in the DTV4 w/ Hubble Bubble.

After Curaleaf, I went to Trulieve for some flower. They had 25% off today, so I snagged 4 different strains. I've only tried one of them before, the Lemon OG Kush, and loved it. The others are Cherry Punch, 9lb Hammer, and Mandarin Cookies.



The Cherry Punch had one massive, dense bud, a second smaller one, and a tiny baby. The baby made it's way to the Mighty, and it tastes good. Effects are uplifting and energetic. THC is 20%.



Next is Mandarin Cookies with some nice, dense buds and 22%.



The Lemon OG Kush is the worst looking of the bunch, but the highest THC at 26%.



The 9lb Hammer has one large stem sticking out of the top bud. But all four of them weighed in overweight, between 3.7-3.9g, so I'm not too upset. It's 22%.

I purchased an ounce a few weeks back when the Trulieve deal was Mix-n-Match 4 1/8s priced at $33 and $43 for $130. I selected several $43 units that I had previous experience with and crossed my fingers because Trulieve had stopped publishing the THC/CBD percents. Most of the order was in the mid to upper 20's in terms of THC percent and the others were 18 percent. Everything was tasty and effective.

Got a Trulieve email this morning saying "ALL Truflower whole, mini and pre-roll listings are being updated to have potencies listed online." They'll probably add back the statement that there is no guarantee the percent on the product selected is what you'll receive but I'm good with that as long as the difference is negligible. Happy to be able to leverage the percents again when making a purchase.

I noticed yesterday when I was looking that some of the Trulieve flower had percentages, but not all...they had zero concentrate so I went to MUV where everything was 25% of for one day (beats my 20% vets discount so I went there) and got 4G of shatter (all at 70% and up) and a 1/2 oz of flower (all over 20%).

My Grow Healthy got a half oz of Littles in Islamorada, a phenotype of the master grower Florida Keys strain I loved so much. It has a similar flavor, mainly limonene and linalool, and tastes great. It’s only 18% thc and 1.2% terps, but well worth the $99.

I just got home from the lame-named 420 on 820 sale. Naturally, the system was down and they had to do checkouts on paper. So my 5 minute wait turned into a 35 min wait. I wanted to try some new flower, so I got a couple Binske strains in Gelato and Vizcaya. I also got some Purple Wookie minis, a half gram of Dutch Hawaiian dry sift rosin, and a gram of 9lb hammer truclear. Since the Blue River rosin isn't included in the sale, my total should've been $158.80. But the computer system was down, so the budtender gave me 40% off the whole order for a total of $142.80.



The rosin effects are fantastic. I had a tiny dab when I got home, and felt it strong. No lab reports come up for terps, but the label has 75% THC.



The Vizcaya is so very disappointing that I didn't even bother checking the labs. For sure I'm returning this. No way this should be a $28 eighth, I can't believe the retail price is $48. Seriously, the Purple Wookie Minis are much larger than any bud in this.



The Gelato is more like what I was hoping for from one of their specialty brands. I've never got Binske flower, but I expect it to be a tier above standard Trulieve flower. The Gelato is 18% THC and 1.9% terpenes.



I was pleasantly surprised by the size, smell, and quality of the Purple Wooke minis. They are 20% THC and 1.2% terpenes.

I did the exchange of the garbage Vizcaya at Trulieve today. At first they were only going to give me a credit of $28.80 for the sale price, but the flower I exchanged it for, a $43 Member Berry, wasn't on sale anymore. But they gave me the discount when I mentioned I had emailed during the sale about an exchange. I snagged a Space Age Cake and Gorilla Snacks minis while I was there as well. Walked in with a $28 1/8, and walked out with 3/8 for only $40.50 more.



Member Berry coming in at 23% THC, and a fruity aroma.



The Gorilla Snacks is 24% THC, and has larger buds than the Vizcaya I exchanged. Pretty larfy though.



The Space Age Cake is 25% THC, and has better formed buds than the Gorilla Snacks.

Whenever there's a sale like this at Trulieve the product flies off the shelf so your best bet would be to set up an on-line order for delivery or pick up tomorrow so you can lock it in. You could use the online chat to verify the order placed today can be delivered or picked up tomorrow and still qualify. I've never had a problem using a promo for a pick up or delivery on another date within 24-48 hours but it would be best to "chat".

Thanks! That's my thinking as well. I did place an online order, it would just be much more inconvenient to get out there today than tomorrow. I'd be pissed if I waited and missed out on the sale. But I'd probably be more pissed if I rearranged things to get there today, only to wake up to the same, or an even better sale tomorrow.

Has anyone else has been sort of disappointed by the quality of the flower available right now? Since the beginning of August I’ve purchased various strains from Grow Healthy, Curaleaf, Trulieve, and Harvest. They were all ok, but nothing I was really excited about. I wonder if it’s something about the harvest this time of year; I seem to remember having a similar experience at the end of summer last yea

The only exception is one of the new strains Curaleaf started offering recently. It’s called Bombs Away. I had a bowl in my Sticky Brick Runt that was beyond the typical mediocre flavor I’ve been getting recently.

Curaleaf has a pretty great flower sale right now that is tempting me to try all their new stains that are 15%-21%. I should know better, they disappoint more often than not. I wonder if anyone here has tried any of the others than Bombs Away? Here’s the deets:
