Those will be great. I use 30Q’s only because I have 6 but think 35E’s might last the longest and will probably pick a few up when I’m in the mood.
Are you my doppleganger?I have found that with my usage. I can last about 2 days before needing to charge. I usually charge it a bit at night anyways.
I usually do 2 caps in the morning before work. 2 caps at lunch in my car, and then 8 or so over the course of the night.
That being said, after an entire day of that, no lights of the battery tester go out. On the second day of that it will drop a light, but that’s all. I use the included cable to charge it since taking all the batteries out and putting them on my charger is a pain in the ass. There hasn't been an issue from me by using that charger, the indicator lights change with usage and it goes back up to 100% when the light turns green on the charger. So I'm not worried about anything in that regard.
So I would say that with a 14mm coil, I'm getting better than expected results, or I use it less than most. (Though I don't know if that is true or not...)
I use the LG HG2 ‘s and am very happy with them.I will be using
SONY VTC6 18650 3000mAh High Drain Flat Top Recharge Battery.
What is everyone using ???

Just ordered 6I picked up a set of the Samsung 35E's a few weeks ago to evaluate and have been very happy with them. They last a long time, and are available at a very good price:
https://www.illumn.com/18650-samsung-inr18650-35e-3500mah-high-discharge-flat-top.html
FWIW, I have four sets of batteries I use in the shop, in random rotation:
Sony VTC4 (2100 mAh)
Vapcell 2800mAh (rebranded Sony US18650VTC5D High Discharge Flat Top; 2800 mAh)
Sony VTC6 (3000 mAh)
Samsung 35R (3500 mAh)
I found the high discharge VTC5D Vapcells can be too much for some 14mm coils and lead to charring of the load. The 14mm coil doesn't need any help getting hot in a hurry, and the VTC5D's high discharge cells can unleash a lot of current very quickly, especially when freshly charged. I find with this combo I sometimes need to pull at the first click.
The 35Es have a less aggressive discharge rate than the VTC5Ds, and for our purposes I think this helps.
I am not an expert on these and my sample size is small, but the above is what I have found so far.
The FD is going to be a game changer. Mine has a 14mm with a top side control. For those of you that have there FD how is the battery life ? I have an extra set for back up. Mine should be here tomorrow. Can’t wait to do a review... #45
I have the LG hg2s as well. Are they considered high discharge at 20a?
Received my 15mm swapped FD and testing now definitely more forgiving, as 14mm was crushingly hot, 15mm I am still pulling on 1st click but working well, no charring.
Now I'm wondering if the big difference is the 20a battery? As my experience seems so different from others. And if @jill_nyc has 16mm and same battery how long does it take to click?
Well I won't be waiting long now! Got my email last night and finalized my choices!
Nice! Will we be able to buy just a case and swap everything over if we already have one(or two ) ?Hi all - some updates!
New mini-batch in progress!
As some of you know, earlier today I sent pre-build, "confirm your options" emails for the next 25 or so heaters. If you did not get an email yet, don't lose hope, as I'll be sending out more as some people pass or don't respond.
I am calling these "mini-batches" because I've pre-assembled ~70 battery packs. The battery packs take a lot of time to make, so it's nice to have that many ready to go. One less thing to build out, at least in the short term.
New case options on the horizon:
A shoutout to @Dubmonkey for this one!
I am happy to announce that the Flux Deluxe will soon be available in at least one new case option: cherry, courtesy of Berskshire Box Mods (their website is currently down but their Facebook is up). I may offer more options from them in the future, but their cherry 1590B case will be the first.
Dubmonkey was politely insistent that I check out one of their cases and see if it would work as a housing for the Deluxe. I did, it did, and you can see it below.
I am happy to report that this worked out so well that I expect to be offering this as an option going forward. I believe these will be a $20-$30 add-on option, but the final price is still to be determined. I should know more within a week.
There will also be an option for adding custom laser etched art, as long as the art doesn't violate any intellectual property rights. I have been told that custom art pricing will start at an additional $35 per case, but that price has not been finalized. I have a few examples with Fluxer logos coming, so there will be more to come.
Here are some images of the Flux Deluxe in (unfinished) cherry. Finish options and costs still to be determined.
I think the color is more accurately reproduced in this image.
Shown alongside a standard FD. I don't have the external measurements at hand, but the cherry case is a bit longer and wider than the standard case. The two cases are the same height, however, and the new one fits in the same storage bag at the standard FD.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers!

Don't do that brother! One day your batteries will die. You'll forget the extra set. You'll leave and forget your FD. FD will malfunction. Or you could do what I did with my Psm last night and accidentally heat your VC without the cap and melt some internals! I was BLESSED to have a torch on me for some random reason!! I don't use the torch often, but i keep backups for my backups in my car!I wanted to get rid of my lighters so so so so badly.
Holy cannoli, MrC!!! Should we just set up a direct deposit to your account? I think that will be easier moving forward lolHi all - some updates!
