Lots in the portable vape section. I mean lots more than iolite and wispr. I still suggest my iolite for people looking for a session based portable powered by butane."I suggest a butane based vape." I don't. The only butane vapes that I know of are Oglesby & Butler's iOlite and Wispr 2, that both offer only one temperature setting (210 celsius). I'd never recommend the original iOlite, and would recommend the Wispr 2 only to those who are away from a power source for long periods of time.
If this is discussed in the thread I missed it. Is there a way to keep the puck from rising in the FM5.0? If it gets too far from the bottom it extracts less well. I have been trying to suck more gently but it usually rises anyway.
I haven't discovered a way yet. If you loosely pour herb into the chamber it will hold about 0.10gm. Then if you pack it down into a puck you can pack another 0.10 or so. However, I'm a microdoser so that's too much for me for one session (0.07 to 0.10gm is right for me) and I think you get the best flavor, draw, and vapor if the puck is not too tight and the chamber is not completely filled up. Your mileage may vary.If this is discussed in the thread I missed it. Is there a way to keep the puck from rising in the FM5.0? If it gets too far from the bottom it extracts less well. I use a small pinch of cotton ball (organic/not bleached) on top of load. Then just dump it all. Some use screens on top, but then you've got to fish them out of the waste/ABV and clean them, etc. A pinch of a cotton ball is so much easier to me.

Do you guys get a lot of visible vapor with your Mini?
And with the FM5-Pro the main interest is to be able to do low temp levels. The more distinct levels you do the longer the overall session. If you do one 210°C level it will be pretty fast, if you do like I enjoy 173°C, 184°C, 196°C then 215°C in a row, the session will be longer (and IMHO it gives more time for your lungs to absorb more components, so you get more effect and on top of that you preserve all delicate terpenes and get the delicious taste)
Now we can't always afford a 15+ minutes session... but that's the beauty of variable temp control, you can adapt the device to your needs and your medicine!
Here is an example of how much vapor the Mini can produce. Your results may vary.
It does. To compensate you just start hitting well before the LED goes solid.
You have the Pro but still use the 3 temp version?I do. Keeps the light flashing lots longer but worth it for the flavour.
Just curious. I'm satisfied with the old version for the most part. I used variable temp for years and haven't found the 3 step FM to be unsatisfactory, and I like the ease of maintenance, really good battery performance, and price. Price will likely determine whether I get a Pro. Don't need it so it'll have to be a really good deal. Probably dhgate down the road. My wife did say she wanted a green one....
