Asking the obvious - did you click the power button just 5 quick clicks? That should be all you need to do. If it still won't turn on I'd return it to the vendor you purchased it from for a replacement. I don't know of any way to do a "hard reset."

I cant see that anything has scraped off mine but I'm curious to know if other peoples bottom screens are wedged in like mine, you can see in my picture its been pushed in that tight its started to bend.
I wanna try and remove it like others have done and just replace it with an ss screen. I tried using a tiny precision screwdriver but that didn't budge it so i've ordered some of those nice dental tools that they pick your teeth with to see if that will pull it out.
I see some people have taken there FM's apart to get it out but i don't think anyone has taken a Pro apart yet and i wasn't sure how the led screen comes out?

If you search on ebay UK, there's a few on there. What I have done is I have a couple of spare glass ones but I also bought one of the silicone ones too and that is what I use when I go out the house as then if I drop it, it won't break. I've broken 2 of the glass ones when I've been out and had a few too many beers, clumsy drunk that I am.

To be honest, that looks totally normal to me, mine have all been like that. I haven't bothered removing it from any of mine, if you keep it cleaned regularly it'll carry on working.

I did, I worded that incorrectly but yeah. I reached out to puffitup.com (who are incredible with customer service btw) and they're going to fix it asap. I'm happy.

Just received my pro, looks good. I want to do the standard burn ins, has everyone else just wacked it up to the highest temp to do this?

Hey, I always read the thread!!;) But i didn't see anything about the pro burn ins (unless I missed it) so just wanted to check what people were doing. On my 5s and mini I did it on the highest temp so I assumed the same for the pro. Anyway, it is now on my desk on full temp with a fan blowing directly at it. To be honest it doesn't smell too bad, the mini has been the worst smelling for me so far.

You're not the first to report a strong smell with the Mini... I didn't get one for review and honnestly I'm a little concerned by what I read, in the sense that it's a complete redesign and not just an evolution on the same platform (even if it shares the FM5 name) So anything can go wrong...

For now, we're assuming it's as safe as the FM5 but nobody opened it and posted any picture...

It doesn't smell now but I had to go through about 4 full charges to get rid of it. Whereas the 5s was all gone with about ten burn ins, so I'm hoping for the same with the pro. As I said in a previous post, I'm not a huge fan of the mini that much anyway as it doesn't seem to draw as well but the size is the selling point, it's just so small it's perfect to be 100% discreet. I wouldn't use it as my daily vape but it's still worth having as a backup, even though I now have a total of 5 FMs!

Yeah I put mine on high and just kept it going until I drained a battery but there's no odd smells now.

Got my mini 1 week after ordering from puffitup, pretty stoked on it. A bit of a smell though about the same as my original flowermate I think. Did some burnoffs and then ran a couple of bowls and doing more burnoffs.

I have reasonably big hands and I am pleased on how the entire thing disappears inside my fist. Also super hyped on the usb power bank functionality and definitely looking forward to bringing this into shows/clubs in the future. Having some kind of useful real world second function is basically the killer feature for a stealth vape. Just wish it didn't say vaporizer on it 3 times though lol. Will be easy to fix with paint or a sticker though.

So, first up, thanks to everyone for the advice and info in this thread. I picked up a V5.0 6 months ago and love it.

I'm interested in the new Pro version but $119 from puffitup is a bit rich for me. I read a couple of pages back that you could get it for $80. Anyone know where I can pick one up for that price? I'm in the Uk

I'm in the uk and got my pro direct from Smiss, I think it worked out to be about £75 and took 3 days to arrive. Have a look on ebay though there's someone selling them for 80.

There's a couple of sellers on eBay, mine was £85. You can get then for £83 but I always buy from the seller doing them for £85 so I can only recommend them.

Has anyone dismantled a Pro yet i really want to get this bottom screen out that's in the chamber. I've taken the top and bottom plastic slides out, ive undone the top 2 screws and removed the plate but now i'm stuck because there's no screws on the bottom plate and i've tried pulling it but it just doesn't want to budge. I see someone had dismantled just the 5.0 earlier in the thread but there was screws in the bottom plate on that model.

Thanks for the replies. I got my V5.0 from vapefiend for £40 on a black Friday deal so was hoping to find a deal for the Pro somewhere.

$80 would have been better than £80 but I guess it's still a great price for what you get

just got a pro even on the highest setting its wisps of vapor
my desktop aromed 4.0 at 160*c produces a lot more vapor
my housemates hate me sitting around doing 30+ min
sesh fill the house with dank vapor

Im looking for something fast that produces lots of vapor

I just got the pro 5.0. I haven't used it too much......but it does seem to keep on giving light hits for awhile. Even on 446 degrees. I'm still used to my vaporgenie with a torch lighter.......way less draw restriction and hits that hurt the throat if you want huge hits.

Overall i like it.....it does alright. I was surprised at the restricted draw through. Only other battery vape I had was a mflb and it had much easier draw.

In good lighting vapor is obviously escaping since its in an oven.....a slight negative I guess.

@Qwin8 : do you tamp your load to make a little puck? I get wispy hits in all my conduction vapes when the load is not making contact at all times with the bowl walls and bottom. You also need to check regularily that your drawing method is not making the puck move (or that you don't shake the device too much) or it will become wispy again.

But keep in mind this is a portable device, it has limited power by design. You can't compare it with a desktop unit.

Note that in the end, nobody ever claimed the FM was the strongest cloud machine on the block, maybe this vape is just not for you.

Do you guys get a lot of visible vapor with your Mini? I'm not sure if mine is broken or what but it doesn't really seem to get me high regardless of how many times I pack it. Maybe it's the slower come up as opposed to just smoking a bong? Do you usually pack the entire cartridge full? Also do you guys save your leftovers and reuse them later?

Are you going from smoking a bong to vaping from a Mini? Unless your unit is defective (if it turns the herb brown and dry it's working) I'd say your main problem is just moving to vapor from smoke. Aside from the adjustment to the missing smoke byproducts that you've been assuming are part of the cannabis high, one bong hit isn't gonna be equal to even a couple of Mini hits. You may have to account for a high tolerance too, since using a bong isn't normally sipping. On the visible vapor aspect, keep in mind that vapor is much less visible than smoke, and seeing it well on exhale requires good lighting.

As for packing it full, you can do that, but it'll compromise your taste more toward the end of the bowl because you're heating bud that's already been vaped. As for reusing that ABV, you can certainly do that if you like. Works best with edibles so you can cover up the taste. I wouldn't smoke it. If you're going to give vaporizing a good try, you shouldn't smoke at all.
