I don't know if anyone else already mentioned this but I read a good tip on using the pods, someone advised using the resin/wax pod for herb, just take the cotton out. And it really does work so much better than using the herb pod. I had totally given up using them but will now start again for times when it's more convenient.

They wrote and said if i want they will try and fix. Im pretty sure its the contact point inside vape. I think its nice they offered to fix older one. In the disposable world alot of companies wouldn't even offer.
Also i apologized to them for freakin about some cord problems which were my fault. And pessering them about shipping. I mean i got vape in like 5 duatys for free. Thats counting a Saturday and Sunday to. Pretty good for free.

The extract tanks are really good with cotton out and firm pack. Cap down works best. Vapes hotter than flower tanks. Someone mentioned this lately but I don't see the post.

Yesterday I received a flowermate mini, I have made a 30 minute burn off but the smell is like a melted plastic. I didnt even dare to use it.
Anyone has experienced something like it. I have another three vapes none of them had such a smell from the beginning.
How long does it take to stop smelling like that.

I would never use a poisonous toxic vape like this.

If you put flower in - you will simply mask the smell.

Please return it for your own health's sake!!!

Just got 8 more concentrate tanks, removed the cotton and using with flowers. If you haven't tried this, you might just give it a shot. Same with Boundless.

Thats the Problem with most cheap Vaporizers thats why i never would buy them again. You dont do your self and your health any good with this.. I think burning the Material is more healthy in this case..

Vegetable oil is used in assembly process and is what some may be picking up on. It evaporates after a couple cycles.

The source has been known from day one, please read the thread a bit.

Initial smell is coming from the glue on the polyimide tape around the heater that is used to hold the insulation in place. You need several discharges worth of empty burn-ins with air flow to get rid of it. Use a fan or blow in the stem, there needs to be as much air movement as possible.

Nothing burns inside normally working devices, even after a lot of use at max temperature. The culprit is known but they can't do anything about it (although they switched to a less stinky tape when they released the FM5-Pro)

Yes it sucks a bit, but once it's gone the vape is a solid entry level performer and is built pretty well and solid. More recent devices like the Boundless range don't have this problem anymore as they finally managed to implement properly isolated air and vapor paths.

I want to think there is someone designing these with human health in mind. Perhaps thats too hopeful.

Long time since I've been on these forums and there's a lot of info out there.

So I'm in the market for a new portable vape. I'm not the biggest herbhead so I usually vape 2~5x a week at the most, maybe for one or two sessions. I've had the original V5 with only one temp and that actually faired well until a couple of weeks ago someone spilled some wine over it.

I've had a FM mini before (2 years ago) and it got stolen after 2 weeks, but from what I remember it was a pretty feisty little machine. I'm currently using the Weecke Fenix but find the battery life severely lacking and the draws aren't that tasty. It get's me high, but it doesn't go as far with a bowl as the FM does for example. I could do 2 sessions with the original V5 on 10 minute sessions, can barely squeeze 1 5 minute session out of a bowl with the Weecke Fenix.

Now, I still have my contact in China who's willing to supply me a Flowermate at trade price. Currently the option is between the FM V5.0S Mini and the V5.0S Mini pro. The Pro is actually cheaper than the mini, but for me the most important aspect is the battery life.

How much is the FM mini pro affected by the LCD display battery life wise? How many sessions can you get out of the FM Mini vs the FM Mini Pro?

Also, any other China vapes worth looking at which have come out recently?

Get the mini not the mini pro. It's not only the OLED drawing more it's that the mini has a real 18650 while the mini pro has a lower capacity Li-Po pouch to accommodate the space lost to the extra components including the screen.

Leds on original and mini can be seen outdoors also. Have both and luv each. Most battery capacity goes to original.

Cool, thanks! Yeah I really don't care about the LCD, most of the times I switch between two heat settings and I've never felt like it was lacking. I'm also going to ask my contact about the bubbler since it is listed on Alibaba but you'd have to get big lots.

Just an FYI, ordered my flowermate mini + extra glass mouthpiece + water adapter + mini bubbler. Ended up costing me about the same as ordering just the FM mini without anything else.

Wholesale prices for these adapters are almost nothing. It always baffles me to see the markups the stores make.

I bought one for my fm mini a few months ago, preformed quite well for a month with moderate use. I used qtips soaked in iso to clean the resin that built up in the bottom part. Unfortunately the seal somehow got damaged and would slowly leak water into the chamber. Even at $13, I wouldn't recommend.
crud :( I was really hoping it wouldnt be trash

Well, after being stuck at customs for a while I finally got in my V5 Mini. Just tried it with the bubbler and the pod and this is really a nice setup. Good, thick clouds, even on the 2nd session. Very smooth vapor through the bubbler. Weird that I do get a couple of drops of water in my mouth sometimes.

Bubbler looks ridiculous though. It's taller than the flowermate itself by about 25%.

Definitely prefer it over the Weecke Fenix I have.

My girlfriend gave me a 5.0s and I'm trying it on a small trip to the city this weekend.
It works and it tastes alright but even at high setting it's so much slower than I am used to. The bowl is a little big...I think I would prefer faster roasting of a smaller bowl but hey this could be good for a movie...

So it took me three 5 minute sessions on high to vape a full bowl to the completeness that I like. By the third bowl there was visible clouds forming. For me that is the slowest session I have ever done... But it's a nice option. Clean high. Very easy to use around others. Lower temp means less smell than when I use a vapcap and it looks like I'm smoking.

Not a bad decide. I can load it up and if time if I'm careful. Loading isn't the best: it's a little messy getting ground up herb into the recessed hole. I'm not about to carry around the brush with me though lol

Well, back to the party.
