I just sold my Ascent Da Vinci because it did not give me as good a result as the FM5.

I bought the FM5 as a backup to the Ascent, but now it is my primary vape.

I wonder if the FM8 would be similar, better or worse that the Ascent. I am tempted to get in on the Mass drop and would like to see some review videos.

Shipping to Canada is $11 something which brings the total to just over $82 a unit if the lowest price is reached. Shipping to the US is usually cheaper on Massdrop as far as I know so probably a bit less. I imagine you'd get the units directly from China quicker as they'll probably be shipped reasonably quick for $48.

Edit: Looks like the lowest price has been unlocked.

If you have controlled heated air flowing thru some ( vaporizable ), you have the making of a vaporizer.

Glass, and cooling water, are more refinements to the alchemy.

I am all for toys, but it sure can be a $ runaway....

This is off topic but I watched a review on another portable vape at a $250 price point and they kept comparing it to a $400 and $500 portable vape trying to up sell. I'm glad they never had or will have my business.

But it showed the size of the v8 very well and that's a big boy lol. Should be a good home/camping etc. wherever stealth isn't needed IMO.

Ok so there was indeed glue used in the first beta batch, as confirmed by my Smiss contact. Even if they claim the glue is safe and that it will not be used in the production version, I don't feel very inclined to inhale it, I hope you guys can understand my stance...

At least this first batch allowed them to get feedback and some improvement ideas. My contact told me I will be on the list to receive a second sample and they will make sure this one is smell-free, but it won't be shipped until next week or so. Meanwhile I continued doing empty burn-ins but this morning, even with the device being cold, I could still smell something. It's taking more time to dissipate than what I expected...

Unless you like being a guinea pig, I would recommend people to wait until it's production-grade before jumping on the bandwagon. I'll keep you informed whenever I got some news.

Their learning curve in production seem purty astute, but Zen they have masters like yourself guiding their R&D, Kudos!

I'm assuming they have this stock ready to go. If these fail, we are screwed with little to no recourse.

I mean, are they willing to jeopardize their rep with a shotty product, after all they are producing a marketable product meant to aid in health, not produce one which is going to induce comas.
