O.K, I soaked the silicone part in hot soapy water for a while but then it tasted & smelled of washing-up liquid, so I gave it a good hot water rinse followed by a hot pure water soak. After drying it I left it overnight to air.
I feel the smell from the silicone is now definitely reduced but it is certainly still there. Puffing on an empty oven at max-temp tastes pretty horrible in both my own and another's opinion - though it is not as bad as it was previously.
And so far, even if I puff on it with the mouthpiece completely removed, I can still taste the vaporizer & I really don't like it.
In the past I have mostly used vapes made from wood, glass, SS or Ti - so perhaps that is why this is so noticeable to me.
My Mighty had a 'new' smell to begin with (mostly from the CU) but I feel that went away after a couple of burn-offs & a wash or two - and I don't recall it tasting as nasty as this at any point.
This does not sound good to me.
The jury is still out, right here.
Anyway, who even wants to read this shit, right? Let's look at some more fuckin' pictures . . .
And just for fun . . .
