OK! I'm not really sure what run this is. I'm confused. I'll try and spell it out.
Its just over 6 grams of fresh stuff and about 6-7 of 2nd wash (which didn't really looked washed... from my n00b eyes and what I see from this last one).
6 gram fresh FLOWER shake (I pulled all the good stuff out again.)
6-7 grams barely washed stuff
Total of 12 - 13 grams of FLOWER shake
New 12" x 1 1/2" Schott Oil Dike tube
Just over a can of butane
My first run, garnered just over 1.2g. This one, gave up 1.8g, though with almost twice as much herb. I obviously attribute that, to the first wash on just over half of it.
0.8 grams per 7.0 grams ABV first time 91% ISO from CVS.

EDIT: I'm doing the 2 grams of Top Shelf flower. Going to grind it up and run it. Not worth vaping. Strains are just all over the map. Also, going to do a full packed tube with ABV, for this miracle BHOquil.

The best way to get crumbly/ sticky hash. It's like quick bubble hash. Bud, cold water, ice in blender for a minute until frothy green. Strain through a reusable coffee filter into a jar. Let settle in the fridge for an hour. Take 2/3 water out carefully not to disturb the goodness at the bottom. Let settle for another 30min. Strain throu paper coffee filter. What's left on the filter is the hash

I just managed to pick up a 500ml bottle of this here in oz.
For any aussies reading, dan murphys $59. (you have to ask for it)
I think I will use this for my BHO winterization instead of ISO.
I was not a fan of the ISO taste when I was making Abv qwiso.
I got about 19days till I can do my next BHO run.
Hopefully my 66gram SS extractor and my DBV oil kit will have arrived by then.
I have an idea about keeping my winterized with polish spirit BHO in its liquid form in the freezer, and only evapping as I need it. (might keep better, longer?)
So, I reckon run 5-7oz of shake into BHO, then add polish spirit, into freezer for 48hrs, then strain thru coffee filters & then bottle it & put into freezer.
Subtract 50ml when required into large shallow pyrex dish, cover with cheese cloth put in corner for a day or 2. Gently warm in h20 bath, scrape. enjoy.
Repeat as required-

I have never tried bubble hash, I thought it was a great idea.
but now, there is no need cause I can whip out some BHO pretty quick nowdays.
I am looking forward to my new extractor arriving. My SSTB has seen better days, I did not take care of the tip & damaged it. Now the can doesn't seal as well as it should, and tane sorta goes here & there.
Funnily enough, I thought the keep yr liquid winterized BHO in the freezer to evap only when you want it thing, was a neat little idea I come to myself.

I made some ABV BHO tonight. Used about 2oz or so of ABV and 4 cans of butane.
Overall...not thrilled with the yield. Glad to get something out of the ABV but I expected a little more. I am really considering trying that mason jar technique next time. I'd love any information or opinions on that technique if anyone wants to share.
The stone is great. I didn't use much, just scraped what I couldn't get off my pick into my bowl and I am lit.

Dang, that big oil tube I bought, stuffed with about 20g of ABV netted me over a gram of BHO.
Its not as hard-hitting (in a good way) as I assumed it would be. Definitely a very relaxing body high.

Yeah...I feel like something isn't right. That blob there, on parchment, weights about 1.1 g. I'm running about half a can per packed SSTB, using Power 5x 300ml cans.
I have some other scraps I am going to run tomorrow and I think I will try the mason jar technique to see if it yields any better for me.

For one the time to make it? Flavor? Effect?
Now I had some LOUIE XIII!
I will stay with TOP SHELF WAX.

I throw away the ABV stuff.
Just made this with some ABV(~10g) and kief(~7g).
For having never done this before; I think it could have turned out worse. Liking my first baby steps into the world of concentrates .

Hey all, glad to see all the discussion here! Some great tips along the way too!
I just tried my 2nd run after a long time of reading and thinking over my tek. Here are my 2nd results:
I ran just over 7g of fresh Rockstar bud. Froze both the hand-broken nugs and the iso in a freezer for 6 hours, and then did 2 runs. First run was only about 10 seconds with a light swirling motion, and 2nd run was in a proper mason jar with a vigorous shake and swirl for about 30-40 seconds. That ended up combining into a first run disc (i put both runs together as they were very similar in color/smell).
For my 2nd (really 3rd) run, I took my nugs that had dried out from the first run and I ground it into a flour-like consistency. Then I did a solid 1min soak/swirl with the finely ground material for my 2nd run to see if I could pull any more out of the plant.
First run ended up being about 1.1g of oil, and the second run ended up yielding about 0.4-0.5g total, so about 1.5-1.6g yield from 7g of fresh material. Not too bad! I also got a shatter consistency this time, using a hot water/steam bath that never went above 120F or so. After scraping and gathering it, I just pressed it between my fingers to darken it and make it look like it does now.
Here are some pics. Again, let me know if you see things I can improve. Take care all!

I froze the 99% Iso-propyl and the ABV for about 3 hours
poured the ISO into the jar of ABV just enough to cover it.
Shook it vigarously for about 30 seconds and poured it into another jar using a coffee filter.
I let it sit for a few minutes and then transferred it to a pirex dish.
I put that on a hot plate at 70C with a small fan on it for about an hour or so until it was completely dry.
What I got looks like what we call flatpress ( a very light brown crumbly hash)
Any ideas why I didn't get oil? What I got does work but tastes pretty yucky.

You can never be sure how its gonna turn out when it's from ABV... it will always taste yucky, and the overall strength of the effects will be muted. You could always try to remelt it by going through more purging... might fuse together and turn into taffy or wax. Good luck!
Dorkus - please detail your process for making the ABV tincture. I've got about 7 grams left and I'd like to make some sublingual heaven. Please advise.
