They’re the pink ones it’s going to say Samsung 30Q 15A or something like that
Button top or not...and what's a Button top?

They need to be flat-top, right? Not button top. They’re the pink ones it’s going to say Samsung 30Q 15A or something like that
People who’ve had a FW5 and now have a 6 - are they similar in terms of technique? Have we taken a backwards step to a more finicky vape?
Edit: my bias is my FW5 suited my use really well, 5-8 draw sessions, fine w slow cloud buildup, love the effects, powerful enough to function as my only vape (Splinter gathered dust), usually skip the darker ABV and couchier effects. Love the new form factor, don’t need stronger heater, but not willing to go backwards to more technique than the 5.
Hi, I have also the fw5 and was not sure if I ''need'' another one, but pulled the trigger also in mind to support marc and the vaporizer looked just very interesting!People who’ve had a FW5 and now have a 6 - are they similar in terms of technique? Worth noting that the only battery Marc sells from his site is the HG2. @firewood Can you comment on the batteries used during development?I know that HG2s were always the best performing battery with FW products in the past so i'm sure a lot of the early adopters had them laying around.
Does anyone know if the bowl can be safely soaked in ISO for easy cleaning? Seems like it should be fine, but I want to verify.

I'm glad that my battery post seems consistent with what others are experiencing, for a second there I really felt that I was in borderline tinfoil hat territory. A week of convincing myself that I was not crazy while trying to pay attention to cloud size and AVB color was a challenge in itself haha. I'm very curious to see how many of the people from earlier post complaining about the FW6 power and efficiency were using HG2s. I know that HG2s were always the best performing battery with FW products in the past so i'm sure a lot of the early adopters had them laying around.
@NOLOGO EFEST batteries are generally rewraps of LG, Sony, and Samsung batteries. They're typically exaggerated on the advertised performance. Not sure who recommended those but the performance between batteries for EFEST batteries vary pretty wildly.
The draw speed for the FW6 is hard to compare with the FW5 because the FW6 draw speed seems to vary depending on your battery.(From my personal experience) I'd say with the VTC5-A and the FW5 the draw speeds are pretty much identical and if one is "easier" to use than the other its pretty negligible. The 30Q allows you to rip it harder than the 5 allowed you to. The HG2 is board line MFLB or I don't even know, you have to mouth pull but its like a mouth sip? I cannot reiterate enough how bad my experience using the HG2 with the FW6 was lol. So long story short, for the draw experience/draw ease of use:
FW6 w/ 30Q > FW5 = FW6 w/VTC5A >>>>>> FW6 w/ HG2
Also Update on Battery Recommendation: If you are using the FW6 indoors, or wherever its a pretty controlled climate, the overall best battery performing battery (out of HG2, 30Q, VTC5A), IMO, is still the 30Q.
HOWEVER; If you are an outdoor vaper or live in a much cooler climate you will want at least 1 VTC5A. As the temp drops to 50 i'm noticing the 30Q still works well but does take step longer to get rolling than when its was the 70's earlier in the week (convection vapes all do this). The initial stronger performance from the VTC5A helps get past the hump when its cold outside.

Yeah I used mostly HG2, but they are pretty old. It is news to me that people are complaining that HG2 are not powerful enough. It makes me wonder if there are fakes ones being used, or if something changed with their quality. I bought the ones that I used a long time ago so maybe I have good ones? Any other reports of HG2 being sub-par?Worth noting that the only battery Marc sells from his site is the HG2. @firewood Can you comment on the batteries used during development?
For what it’s worth, I’ve used LG HG2s, Sony VTC5a’s, VTC5d’s, and Samsung 25r’s from a combo of illumn, orbtronic, and IMR in my FW5 and FW6 and haven’t noticed any clear difference between them myself. The main factors to me just seem to be: use a 20A+ rated battery, and swap out ones that have drained down. The only battery that gave me issues was a Sony VTC6 I tried in my FW5 which was slightly larger and wouldn’t let the battery door close properly.Yeah I used mostly HG2, but they are pretty old.
