I was hoping to see at least one last drop of the FW9s and was so pleasantly surprised when he did I was naughty and grabbed two as backups, absolutely phenomenal devices.

Secretly hoping he keeps both lines going, what saddens me a bit and not talked about yet is the loss of the completely removable and cleanable ceramic oven with the 10, such a huge plus in my book and why I’ve purchased three FW9s. Solves such a huge common issue with portables and taste/airflow degradation over time!

You're giving me FOMO because I only have one FW9 backup!! :D You hit the nail on the head about the removable bowls. Flavor in my FW7 has suffered over time because of a charred bowl. FW9 is fully dunkable, and when flavor starts missing, slap in a fresh one.

I'm betting those batteries are not safe to use, so now I need to find some new batteries quickly. Are there any legit decent 20-amp high discharge batteries on Amazon?
Don't buy on amazon. Buy from either 18650batterystore.com or LiIon Wholesale.
Both are legit and ship as fast as you do.

Speaking of batteries, has anyone tried a Molicel P50B in their Firewood X (or otherwise)? See they have a higher mAh (capacity), along with a slightly higher continuous discharge.

Speaking of the X, after my first use I ended up bumping the presets up to 380/410/440 for my use case. They were set at 350/380/410 out of the box.

Edit: Whoops, 50B is a 21700, not an 18650 . Looks like P30B is the one for me.

rvarick,
Received my X today. Haven't taken the device for a spin yet, but I did try out a couple different mouthpiece options for aestheics. I quickly landed on likely using a (short) Mistvape Beaded glass stem with a wood mouthpiece. This fits quite nicely (images below). I also thankfully had some leftover felt pieces from my Firewood 7 which helped to stop any minor stem rattle.

p.s. Was pleasantly surprised to see that the storage components were included with mine (must have come into stock around the same time). Wanted to share in case anyone else has one en route, and if so - you may want to hold off ordering these separately.
That stem looks great. I got one without the storage components. I've watched the video and can't really figure out how they work.
I'm assuming the base is below your flower and the top is above the flower. Is it convenient? Would you buy the parts or just carry a small stash?

Just got my firewood X in today as well and also had both storage parts! What a great surprise! So far really enjoying this little device, and it's an absolute pleasure to use. Def looking forward to 3rd party stems/mouthpieces with a *bit* more cooling! At first I wasn't sure about the internal storage, but I actually think I'm gonna try it out and see if it makes filling a little easier.

EDIT: What temps are everyone settling on? Gotta admit 440 has been enjoyable for fast, heavy vaporizing!
What 3rd party mouthpieces are you looking at? I'm getting a knock-off BB9 from Smoke6. I've also been using the stem from my Angus Enhanced with some cooling balls in it.

I haven't tried using the storage yet, but based on the design the bent piece stays in and sits below the flower, offering a small reservoir for it along with a ramp to get material into the bowl (both due to the bend). Then the flat piece would slide above the flower/on top, to close the "container".

Added bonus on the X is the storage components will keep any stray bits from the bowl from falling inside your device (although these would be easy to blow out). Minor cons though are the storage could add more parts to fail/get in the way, and with them in place getting a stem in is kind of a blind, "by feel" exercise (vs. being able to see inside the middle of the device).

The Firewood 6 had an all-wood storage container, so the metal was mildly surprising; but it should stay cleaner I suppose. I wasn't sure I'd use the 6's storage container much, but ended up using it a lot. In particular, the ability to "freshen up" a bowl with a little green is pretty great. Although this could be done with another storage container too (doob tube, etc.).

Marc shipped me the storage pieces. For the life of my I cannot get the “base” piece of metal fully inserted. Anyone have success with this? I can get it 95% but then the wood lid won’t fully close.
Same, and now part of my lid sheared off while trying to get the storage pieces in place.

I'm finding the same - temps need to be bumped a bit to match the vapor production of the 9. Where I generally run 380 in the 9, I need to run 410 with the X. Oddly enough, running the X at 380 gives less vapor BUT makes the mouthpiece much hotter than anything I've ever experienced with the 9. (I'm running an XL dynavap body with a simrell stinger MP on the X)

Got my X two days ago, but using it nonstop. I love the flavor and vape quality, but the fit and finishi of the sliding bowl cover, still seems like a work in progress. The glass catches on the ceramic of the bow area that sticks up a bit above the wood, Every time I try to slide on the cover I have to bend it up a little to get the glass over the lip. Worried that the cover is going to break or at least the glass will pop out.

Other than that, I love the size and I think the performance is WAY beyond the 7, 8 or 9.

Here's some pics, the last one shows the "lip" that the glass gets hung up on

I have this exact issue. I love this vape but that weed window is not going to last.

For anyone having issues installing the storage compartment - I was having the same issue, which the storage cover wouldn’t close all the way. DO NOT try to FORCE It closed with cover. You will most likely damage the glass with too much pressure. Instead, use the included tool to push the tray back out (from stem hole) and then continue to pull it out from the other side. Once out, you will see 2 bends in the metal. You want to slightly increase the 2 bends, one at a time. Using a flat surface and the included tool assisted me with this. Now when you reinsert, it should slide all the way and allow the storage cover to slide all the way closed.
