I have to say I hate you guys (all of you!) for infecting me with the VAS virus, and I hate you
@firewood even more for making your (lovely) device available at such a discounted price! Coupon, power adapter, you got me! Shipping was bloody fast, it's already sitting in my palm. I hate you.
I knew I needed a second portable to complement my Ascent, but I initially planned to buy this one as a surprise gift for the gf's birthday. Meanwhile she broke one of my Ascent glass straws, told me once she didn't like wood objects in general, also told me that if she had a vape it would need to be sturdy and bullet proof (ie no glass) and cherry on the cake...she also told me it was perhaps not the best time to invest in vaporizers, seeing our medicine supply might end abruptly in the next months...
As you might guess the Firewood is now mine, and for those who did not follow, I ordered her a Vapormax V instead, as it seems to fit her needs better. But let's not derail too much! Did I say that I hated you?
Now this vape is slightly bigger than I expected. It has a form factor similar to the Ascent but takes more space as it's a brick rather than a shaver. It's still incredibly small, completely pocketable and palmable. It's sturdy, it's clever, it's perfectly built, it's beautiful, I hate you!
I was on the cheap side and got an "unfinished" one. Should I apply oil/wax necessarily before using the device too much? Will it hurt the wood if I use it as is? Yes I said too much because I already used it...twice..or more precisely 2.5 times... It's too soon to comment, a manual drive vape like this one necessarily has a learning curve, I was expecting it but still managed to get it working relatively effortlessly. I watched the video you just posted and mimicked the timing on the device at the same time and got indeed better results than in my early attempts.
But I'm not there yet. I need practice. I'll refrain commenting futher.
