My FW4 has been doing some strange buzzes that I can't figure out. I turned it on and got 3 short buzzes. I clicked the button once for level 1 and got one short buzz but then got two short buzzes. I clicked it once again and received the one buzz confirmation, again followed by two short buzzes. I turned it off, removed/replaced the battery and then clicked it once after startup and it didn't give me two short buzzes. The next day it happened again!

Then last night I got two short buzzes followed by a single short buzz. What do these buzzes mean??

Also, I bought some CBD slab and organic cotton. Can someone explain or link a video on how to use it with my FW4 by itself (not sandwiched between flower? What temp is best?

Ok!

Got my FW4 back from Marc. It came in around 2:45pm and took it for a test run. Its a night and day difference after the recalibration. The unit runs much cooler and behaves exactly how I want it to. It works like my FW3 only everything is way more stable (heat delivery, temp stability etc). Really feels like a little hand held E-Nano now lol. I thought the FW3 was like that, but the FW4, with its beefed up heater and 18650 battery push it over the top.

Anyway... now enjoying my FW4! Let the honeymoon phase begin!

I've been using my FW3 exclusively for over a week and have fallen madly in love with it! It took me a while to fine tune my draw, pack amount and temp but now it's rewarding me with tons of vapor and amazing flavor.

This vape is so easy to use in the dark is ridiculous.......genius I would say. I have no idea how it compares to the FW4 but I can't imagine how much better it would be over the FW3. I might be in the minority but I like the fact that I can just charge it without having to change batteries and make sure they're charged and what not.

My Flowermate, solo and CFV are a little jealous but hey....they'll get over it! :D

Spare your Sony's for another more demanding application, they have strictly no interest in the FW4.
Could you elaborate please?

I'm barely a newbie when it comes about batteries, I bought some months ago (maybe closer of one year...) a set of 4 Sony VTC4 to drive my mods (Evic mini&Disguiser) and the last one for my Milaana (I sold it with the battery RBT send with) and now used with success, in despite of a shorter lifespan, in the MVT, Adventurer, Focus and Firewood4.

Are they designed for another use? it was a recommanded battery when I bought it cause a link somebody posted in the Milaana thread.

No they work fine. But they are 30A discharge and usually reserved for very power hungry applications, which the FW4 is not really. And that higher C rate comes at the expense of capacity of course (there's no free lunch)

So what I was saying was to reserve your VTC4's for your high power subohm ecigs for instance, and use a 30Q instead which is 3000mAh and will give you much longer run time with no noticeable difference in performance.

I just thought I'd drop by this thread to say that my FW4 now has about 4 months of daily use on it and it is still my absolute favorite portable vape among the (too) many that I've owned.

I honestly don't think that there is a better 'pocket' vape on the market - and that includes the GH which would need ~2 additional batteries to achieve the same that a self-contained and fully charged up FW4/HG2 can achieve.

The capsule system is not perfect - still a little finicky for me - dragging down the overall score to 9.9/10!

So for the temp levels do they actually stay within the parameters of those temps like 300-350. Or can they get hotter than that? Like if I use temp level 3 am I for sure not going over 400?

You can go above 400 on temp 1. They will stay in reasonable parameters aren't limited like that.

I vape almost always on 3 and depending on mostly my draw, I can get very light vapor or I can char/combust if I'm not careful so.....

Ah ok, that's kinda what I figured.

Oh wow, yeah I usually stick to 2 but if I hop up to 3 ill quicken my draw a bit. I never really mess with 4.

Asking again... Has anyone else had the short double buzzes after selecting a temp level? So far it had happened at battery levels 1 to 3. I have had to select level 1 two to three times in a row to get the FW4 to acknowledge the temp setting.

Seriously considering adding a Firewood 4 to my collection. Does anyone here have any reasons why they wouldn't recommend it?

just ordered a fw4, cooling unit, and capsule block thing.

this is an upgrade from my mflb and an addition to my underdog. cant wait!
Thats like my line up. I've had an e-nano, FW3, and MFLB in my rotation. Had my FW4 for a week after having to send it in for warranty repair. Definitely a great addition!

I'm sorry. I can't help you ,but I think you should contact Marc. He seems very kind replying doubts and after-sales problems with their vaporizers, as you can read in this thread.
Good luck!

Anyone here have, or have tried an ESV2 (Elevape Smart Vape) that can give a comparison?

Thanks for the reply. I contacted Marc and he wants me to send it in. I've given up combusting :) so I'm waiting for my Vapcap to arrive before sending my FW4 to Marc.

My advice would be to purchase fw4..I own both.
Here is why.
Esv has a small unreplaceable battery.
Fw4 takes 18650's..Which means you can swap a fresh one in when your current is low.
Fw4..You can preload capsules and swap them out when they stop producing vapor.
Both are compact.
Esv takes a little tinkering to get it to hit just right.
Fw4 is ready.
Fw4 is all wood.
Esv is anodized aluminum I believe.
Fw4 is cheaper.
Esv has a 10 second hit timer.
Fw4 you can hit it as long as you want..
Fw4 can be used with more than one person.
Esv is more like a 1 man vape.

*Edit..Just noticed you said esv 2..I only have the first esv and an updated esv.
