I use it on temp 3 with the boost at 4, without the CU and with no water. I'm not sure what the clouds or ABV look like, but I know it's definitely working. Very pleased with this purchase.

LOL so envious. I can't wait to get mine back from Marc after the re-cal. Mine was scorching load after load *ugh*. But I know he'll get me fixed up.

I did purchase the 3 extra capsules in a holder. That should help with keeping some pre-loaded capsules around. Now, all I need are 3 extra mouth pieces.

I compared my FW3 and FW4 last night. The FW4 is definitely faster and extracts more. The FW3 ABV was caramel colored. The FW4 just kept going and going and when I checked the ABV this morning, it was chocolate brown with flecks of black. Haven't had that happen before but I think I stopped just short of combustion.

Kinda wish caps came in diff colors.

Also how do you guys use your's with your water pieces? Everything i have is 18mm.

I wouldn't do it. I was looking at the FW4 mouthpiece as I was going to use it in my FW3 while the FW4 is away getting fixed. I noticed that the FW3 mouthpiece is longer, because the overall height of the device is taller compared to the 4. So if you use the FW4 mouthpiece in the FW3, the capsule is going to be held further away from the heater.

This might be good or bad depending on your preference. Likewise, if you use the FW3 mouthpiece in the 4, it will be extremely close to the heater; almost touching, and it might cause combustion. But they ARE interchangeable, but just be aware of the height difference.

Thats what was happening to mine. My FW3 gives a nice caramel colored ABV. My FW4 would be mostly black with some chocolate brown bits.... however, that was happening after only 4-5 hits! Heater is running too hot and needs to be recalibrated. I hope Marc gets it back to me next week... I really want my FW4 back so I can dial it in lol.

For now, E-Nano and FW3 if I need a portable.

Interesting. I have my FW3 adjusted up by 4 steps but have not adjusted my FW4 at all.

Good luck @antonio45! I suppose when they inspect the FW they realize that it's a vaporizer! And a vaporizer I think it can be legally used with thyme, lavander, and a big variety of herbs in all countries. I hope so!. An e-cig doesn't look like a FW at all. I'm from Spain and e-cigs stores are everywhere since the government banned tobacco cigarettes. That's very sad because some additives of e-liquids are carcinogens; they said that strawberry flavour is one of the most dangerous. But they can poison our food everyday with lots of refined sugar, Monosodium Glutamate, hormonal disruptors and pesticides and this is legal. What a ironic thing uh! :(

Still in love with the FW4! The on-demand session style of this vape is perfect for me. it will be my daily driver portable for sure!

The only cons (not the FW fault) is the previous owner might stored the unit where he was preparing frying food, it smells like frying oil for potatoes or something else...maybe he is working in a MacDonald actually... after a few days I still smell it, not enjoyable at all!

You might wanna try to sand it ever so slightly and apply some oil/wax coating..

Did you try the other tracking site I posted ? Wonder if that had more precise info about the status?

Enjoy your fw4. It IS that small and cute. Fantastic vape. I get light vapor on 1 already - with crazy taste. Wonder, if my unit runs a tad hotter... But loving the temps. 3 is my max. With a slow draw it can char on that setting.

@ren.dnb raises a point I should have considered before hastily posting. In terms of diameter, the mouthpieces fit, but the length could impact performance.

I began at 1 to try and it came clouds. Then after a couple of tokes I tried 2 and with a little harder draw speed it came CLOUDS!

Yes I tried that but nothing there either! But now its here so that's good..and no custom check either so perfect!!

I was totally going to use my FW4 mouth piece on my FW3 until I saw the differences in height. All I could think was "curses! foiled again!". I wanted the black silicon on my FW3 lmao. First I thought "WTF man?" Then, I remembered the FW4 is shorter than the FW3....

I did receive an email from Marc this morning and my FW4 is shipping back to me now, all re-calibrated and ready to go! Should be here on Monday. Great warranty support from Marc!

Heard back from Marc!

The FW4 should be here on Monday. He reported back that the re-cal definitely set it cooler, and everything else was fine with the device. I can't wait to get it tomorrow and try it out after I'm done for the day.

With it being cooler, I know it will operate how I'm expecting the FW4 to work.

Hey guys... my interest is piqued... I've had the FW4 for about 3 months. Love it; it hasn't changed in its performance one bit and is very consistent.

But just so I understand... I have used it by starting at Temp-3, get nice smooth clouds, perhaps 2-3 full pull's worth. Then I go to Temp 4 (top end), and get a couple of more long pulls before I know it will turn the ABV nearly black if I go for more.

That sound about right for a full (un-tamped) capsule? You use it at Temp-2 much?

I use mainly 2 after a few hits on level 1. Used level 3 yesterday evening with a full capsule of kief from my grinder, what's a treat!

Batteries I use are LGhe2, Sony VTC4 and Samsung 25R. Sony vtc4 get the sorter autonomy (3 capsules) and Samsung and Lg seems similar (4 capsules), I take the battery out when the unit still buzz one time although... maybe I can get one more capsule...

What's a nice vape!

Spare your Sony's for another more demanding application, they have strictly no interest in the FW4.

Like for the MVT and Milaana, I recommend using the Samsung 30Q or the LG HG2, with a preference towards the former.

I normally run my FW3 on setting 3 (no offset). Thats usually good for me. On my FW4, I'm assuming that setting 2 with no offset will be similar to FW3 setting 3 (takes into account, newer better heater, more power from the 18650 etc etc).

I'll have it this afternoon so I'll take it for a spin once it gets here after its journey back to the mothership for recalibration lol.
