Well, now there's a nice blank canvas to do underground cabling, isn't there? /s
Maybe that was the plan, all along.
Maybe that was the plan, all along.
Then it is incumbent upon the power companies that could have spent these last years creating underground or alternative electricity supply methods and instead spent hundreds of millions on stock buybacks to pay for this mess. No executive at Edison should be allowed to live in a home until every single one of the homes they burned down have been rebuilt.
"The property damage and economic losses caused by the Eaton Fire is the result of the ongoing custom and practice of Defendant of consciously disregarding the safety of the public and not following statutes, regulations, standards, and rules regarding the safe operation, use and maintenance of their overhead electric facilities," said a complaint filed by Evangeline Iglesias, who worked in a decades-long career with FedEx to buy a single family home which was destroyed in the fire.
This is starting to look like an exponential growth... not cool...
global warming
Is that right? I AM ignorant. Of that there is no doubt. But when I went to Switzerland, I actually remember marveling that there were so few power cables (or any cables, really) visible anywhere especially compared to The States.Running electricity underground through mountain ranges is not tenable.
well... Switzerland is certainly wealthy enough to bury all their power cables. Is that right? I AM ignorant. Of that there is no doubt. That article was from last year actually. Today was the first time it rained in I don't even know how long. I was reading that this has been one of the driest rainy seasons since they started keeping track in the 1800s. The last two rainy seasons were extremely wet here in SD. This year has been bone dry.
