@little maggie I am glad you are enjoying the WS and look to get your wood pieces back to put a carb in em for you making it a bit easier to draw. You know I do what I do and will get ya right, count on it! I am not certain about the newest model but I would guess it does fit with the WS. If I speak to George before any of you all post up I will ask and do so myself.

@ArthurJ Neat glass combo you got their, very cool! Glad you are finding it to work in so many ways, really like that omni paired with it, gotta love the versatility of the WS.

@muunch I appreciate the kind words bro, I do and you are right! I got it really good, I dont have to wake up to an alarm clock, get up when my body tells me its time, get some coffee in me and hit the shop. I work as hard as I like and as much as I like until I choose not too. I have even been working on my weight, hey hey am down 16lbs. woot woot am lifting weights too, going to get ripped lol!!! Gotta tell you and everyone else there a lot of nifty things to come, so keep those eyes peeled you dont wanna miss a thing!

@Diggy Smalls Everybody likes pie, cherry pie, apple pie, peach pie, hell who dont like pie, there is plenty of pie for everyone to get a slice.

@Prolusio Thank you sir, nuff said!

@Squiby Gotta like spice, speaking of spice I have been looking at crock pot recipes rrrrrr there is so many great meals that can be made in one, I am going to do Cilantro Lime Chicken Tacos rrrr, this is so the mans way to cook. Dump in the ingredients, set to temp and forget it, work like hell in the shop come in for break and BOOM dinner is done!

@Andreaerdna I got ya bro, you get ready for a WS I will have your flavor, I assure you! Hmm I need to get a new 12/2 to test from a different supplier to know for sure. What I do know is that the 12/3's are pushing this war horse to great highs! The Ti is a wonderful metal capable of retaining less heat which will ensure the WS is around for a long long time. I need to do so much as far as testing, I have a 12/4 PS that I havent tried yet, I have a bit larger watt heater that needs testing. I even have a way cool neat and nifty new idea I wanna try this week that will change the way you look at the WS or better how you see it, ahhhh yes going to be fun!

@Alexis I appreciate you, I am a very lucky man, I dont know very many people I can count where every time I speak to them they absolutely love what they do for a career. I do love what I do and love my life, it aint always sunshine and rainbows but its a hellovalot better than than it could be, I am blessed!

@IAmKrazy2 This is very good news my man, to quote you, "This to me, speaks volumes" wow I am glad to hear this after the issues we had at launch with your device, thank you sir! Well said even after a mix of several of both, I hope after that post you had a great weekend also!

@beach bum I can see that as well, each has a place and a purpose to others thats for sure. I will have to give it some thought. I hope you are enjoying that piece, is a great number you got there!

Let me ask you all, what is every ones thoughts as to adding a carb hole to the long straight draw glass stem and even the wood pieces, overall what is the consensus?

@jeffp My man, was it Rick that did tooties? Good to see you round and thanks for posting up, wishing you well brother!

@ohmygodimsohigh Well hello my man, I had no idea you were on here, its really good to see so and know you are enjoying your moon time woot woot! Keep doing what you do and know I am anxious to see how you do it bro! Need some great footage for all others to see.

So thats it from my neck of the woods, gotta run to the PO and grab a few groceries for the chicken tacos that are going to be off the hook RRRRRR!

How many crawfish can you eat Ed? Wow thats alot. First time I ate them was when we went camping and hubby caught some in the river. They laughed at me for not knowing how to eat them. I probably ate one to their 20 they consumed lol.

You brought back many memories seeing the pic of your boy shooting. I loved doing that! I really loved the steal targets. You can hear when ya hit them.. I also liked the different stages where you run and shoot. Before you know it Ed he will want a red dot scope too lol. Do they time it? Im sure you can set up some practice stuff for em where you live?

Sounds like you had another fun weekend with the ones you love and what a MASK!!

One of these days Ed I will be able to afford a Wood Scents and I will be able to post info here too!

Been forcing unground chunk after unground chunk into the WS. Ground up 4 diffrent varieties a moment ago to a course consistency instead. Turned the dial down from 9 to a 8. This thing obliterates ground material. 7.5 to 8 on the dial with the screen as close as possible in the glass stem is a lot of fun. Huge rips and great extraction off small amounts. Cheers all.

The Walnut WS has finally arrived! Seems USPS was so impressed with Ed's work they wanted to keep it for themselves for a bit.... At least they put everything back when they were done :p.

I didn't bother trying the power supply that came with the WS. I figured if it was enough of an issue that a new one was sourced I didn't want to bother. Luckily my UD ps and dimmer work just fine until the replacement shows up!

So far my experience with the WS echos those already posted; powerful, quick, efficient extraction. I've only used it with my VC tips and have liked it so much I don't really feel a need to try the glass! I feel like you might not be able to load as much in the tips VS glass because it seems the WS heater naturally rests on the first groove of the Ti tip - But the amount it does hold is perfect for me. Once you get your heat dialed in you don't really even need to stir due to the WS excellent airflow and possibly a little conduction from heating the tip up; works excellently!

This probably goes without saying at this point but I was also very impressed with the quality of the log itself. The wood work is flawless with a smooth finish throughout and no defects. No cracks or damage from the shipping, the WS was packed securely. There was no factory oil smell from the heater or any of the metal, no residues/wood chips/burrs from production - the unit was clean and ready to go out of the box. Or tube in this case!

The WS has a thick custom textured leather pad on the bottom to add some grip and extra individuality to each unit. The power connection point is robust, metal, and a common size to make it easy to connect it to your own supply. The heat up time is top notch, just a few minutes and you're at full heat ready to go. The heat retention of the core is also excellent, it keeps up with my use without needing to give it time to catch up and the body does not feel warm to the touch even after several hours of use. You can feel a litttle warmth but it's very very insignificant, my phone definitely gets much hotter sometimes. The fact that the body is not significantly warm at all really impresses me considering there's probably less than 1" between the core and the wood; that's some good design there! Although I do miss the hand warmer aspect my other log has just a little.. I'm ok with the loss because I have to imagine not having that heat on the wood will greatly increase the lifespan of my WS.

The WS is a killer product; I can't imagine someone who likes log vapes not appreciating it's features and craftsmanship. And because it works with the vapcap tips it's also a very versatile tool for any cappers! I seem to be using my VapCaps by default now more and more, so the fact that the WS works with them means that any time I don't feel like using a lighter BAM log time. I see myself using my WS daily alongside my VC from now on!

Here's some pics of the bad boy

There's a little face in the wood grain that reminds me of The Binding of Isaac

Here's a shot of the leather bottom, if you look close it says Ed's TnT!

I'm not really good at these but milk shot just to prove it works!

Great work @Ed's TnT! I couldn't be happier with my WS; I look forward to testing it rigorously over the coming months. If I were to nitpick anything, really nitpicking though.. It would be that it doesn't seem like a condenser will work with the stems that come with the WS. I tried the omni and standard, neither are the right length for the stem or WonG. Maybe the XL works tho? I do not have one to try. It doesn't really matter since I can just use a different stem if I wish, but I do find I really like the metal for catching reclaim. I think it'd be cool if you could maybe find a way to incorporate steel lined stems or include a condenser that works with the WS stems! But that's not a big deal at all by any means.

TL DR -> The WS rocks. If you don't have a log and are thinking of acquiring one look no further, this is an excellent place to start! Especially if you're a VC user. I cannot imagine how a person would be disappointed from its performance or quality.

@starvingmusician24 You are correct! I guess my statement was pretty unclear. I was able to get the standard to fit inside both the Stem and WonG as well.

The diameter of the wood is the right size. But the stem is a little too long so there is ~1/2" unprotected by metal, and the WonG is too short so it requires the condenser to be inserted into the tip. But they will still fit, just not 100%. I just felt as a nitpick it'd be nice if there was a condensor stock that was meant for the WS. That's why I felt it was such a nitpick though, you can still totally find plenty of ways to get some condenser action with the WS!

Actually now that I look closer the Omni condenser does work really well with the WonG! I must have been to affected by the WS to realize it last night. I initially thought the condenser was just too short to make an airpath, but I see now that might not be the case; if you unscrew/extend the condenser slightly it'll make a complete airpath for sure.

Here I tried to show how the standard condenser matches up with the stem/wong. You can see it's a little short for the stem, and if seated at the end of the WonG the condenser will stick ~1/2" into the tip.

And here's the Omni alongside the WonG.. or WPA whatever you wanna call it. Looks like it'll definitely work!

@Ed's TnT - am enjoying the WS big time. Have used it exclusively since the power issue was rectified (quite speedily, I might add!) and am loving it. The buckeye is a beauty to behold and I still get a kick over how light it is because of the titanium-crazy light!

Thanks for turning out such a great piece, my friend! :D

With this log vape I've been using less cannabis to get the same effect. This unit will save you on your cannabis bill. Which is more money to spend on toys, more accessories, medicine...... I have some tangerine power in my WS right now. It's a great citrus taste even better than the orange creamsicle.

Dynavap just came out with a very inexpensive vaporizer called the M. I've been using my vapcaps with the woodscent until I get a carb hole in the ones from Ed. The M works great with the woodscent but has to be held instead of being able to stay standing. Not a problem though.

A big shout out to all you new WS owners. How's your new unit? Let's gets some conversation and pictures going in this thread.

Hope more will be receiving their units at the end of the work week. Mine has been performing flawlessly.

I'm really enjoying the vapcap/woodscent combo. It's the best of both the portable and plug in world. I have a lot of vapcap stems and I find myself using them more in the woodscent than with butane.
I'm sending my stems from Ed back tomorrow for carb holes- it hasn't been urgent since I'm having no problem using the woodscent. I've lost my dynavap wong and am looking forward to getting the Ed wong so I can use it more easily with water.

I have a strain in my WS called Silver Tip a hybrid.. Tastes awesome in my log tonight. Very good parantage.

With the M being used as a stem which is all metal - stainless steel I needed to turn down my heat to 7. I may turn the heat down even more. My bud is burning up quicker. Getting some awesome vapor.

Good morning everyone, been busy busy, got a lot of stuff done, going to be a sweet roll out of new WS going up today or tomorrow, a few new offerings, stunning pieces, nothing but cuties rrr! Thats and the boys have had another shooting competition. So we found out last week that my oldest placed first in one hand .22 semi auto pistol open sights, my youngest placed 1st in 2 hand 10m air pistol open sights, talk about excited woot woot they were so happy! There were 13 kids that went from our county and all of em placed in the top 3 of their disciplines, very cool! So we had another shoot this past saturday, omgosh my youngest was destroying the bullseye with air rifle, not so much with air pistol, we are using club guns for his first year to see how he likes it, we learned a great lesson that next year we will have our own, cant depend on someone elses sights, stinks but hey lesson learned and he is still enthusiastic for the next comp end of the month and next year as well. Gotta tell you it was some really tough competitors this last saturday bout 200 kids from all over, serious heavy hitters really fun to watch. We are headed to Oklahoma end of the week to do the Easter holiday with my girls family, boys and mine first time there. Seems after that heckofa road trip vacation we took last year we went right over OK and not through, going to be fun. My girls mom lives near the US's highest hill, uhhh say what, yeah I was like how high could a hill be its just a hill, well seems that hill is 1900' I was like geez thats quite a hill, we are so going to climb it!! Did some looking round on the net and about 30 minutes from their place is a historic indian mound we can check out and alot of other great stuff we can get into, going to be a blast and cant forget the day the day Jesus rose after 3 days of death, alot to be thankful for and am most blessed. I got a wonderful woman that loves me and wants to be my wife, have 3 amazing boys that are my life and most of all God loves me, cant get any better than that! Bout to head out to the shop, got a bunch of WS turned and looking pretty, gotta assemble and do bench tests before going out. Going to be a nice day down here and week ahead, so dig this time of year, makes getting all this work done mo easier!

After doing that intense 50 straight hour test at max temp I wanted to show you all the interior and the oring

kukpKpA.jpg

You can see there is just a slight bit of discoloration where the SS screws go into the bottom dividing wall. The small bits of wood are just flakes from removing the screws, just thread flakes. You can see in the above pic the oring looks good. Below you can see the oring in a better light where it looks great

b57nsK7.jpg

I am very happy with the results of this test! Since the roll out I have learned much and think I mentioned wanting to implement a QC checklist for each and every unit to ensure that all aspects of the WS has been covered from top to bottom through each and every component and operation, each will be marked and needs to be kept by the customer. This will let the customer know that I have gone through it and will also help if there is ever a warranty issue. I have begun stamping them within the lower cavity and each will be numbered and the QC checklist will reflect this.

Working on these beauties has been fun, gosh dolled up and getting ready for the show the flaming BoxElder Burl is outa sight. this piece is slammed with eyes, have another with eyes and some red tones trying to bleed out, have another turned that ha some flame streaking.

nL6lewS.jpg

Canadian Applewood found this to be softer than I am used to, not quite as much as BE, looks great overall.

bKRmQzc.jpg

Curly Mexican Katalox, ohhhhh really like this specie below, I showed you all pics of the blanks a bit back the contrast is bout half and half, the finish is sleek and weight is dense, heartwood looks like chocolate, rrrrrr love it!

dCiHx4q.jpg

Did this beauty for my guy, what a stunner she is!

aFCoWZ0.jpg

Is a block from my private stash, was large enough that I even got another from it, ohhhh what a cutie it was going to be. I must say doing the larger pieces like this that my failure rate is much much lower than with stems, the larger the piece is the more you have to work with and it can take more pressure and handle the process. Stems being so much smaller and having less meat on the bone are prone to going to hell real quick. I very seldom loose a WS body unless I screw up, generally the wood itself is solid except for this piece ugghhhhh

MKf83zl.jpg

Yeah needless to say I was not very happy about the loss but hey crap happens and not every beauty is runway material. Thats last week so keep your eyes open for the great pieces to come this week, going to be outa sight!

@IAmKrazy2 Thats what I am talking about bro, do what you do and give it hell! I love what I hear and am glad you are finding these results, RRRRR keep on keeping on and tell everyone ya know to get them some of that!!!

@Snappo NEVER!

@Prolusio Wow so glad to hear you got it finally bro, lol at USPS liking my work, I wish that was the case am sure its not at all! Really happy to hear you agree with others about performance very happy, thank you! As with all my work, I dont do dings or nicks nor burs, I only want to offer what I would want to purchase. Even from my stems, yeah I know they are priced a bit high but hey I dont sell crap nor expect anyone to buy crap, thats just how I do. As I said the Ti will retain very little heat, the heater is the muscle in this unit, its the real beast. The overall build and design of the WS ensures it will last and last. Wow again I appreciate your review and kind words foremost, all that makes what I do so worth it and I appreciate you spreading the word for sure. Am going to grab your post and use it at my site, very grateful! Not sure what will happen in the future as far as stems and such, I have from the start wanted to stand alone from the VC and be the WS, yes it great that WS can use VC stems and such that makes it a great and versatile unit and with much of my stem work in the past they have been able to be used in other ways instead of intended, thats very cool and glad my work is being used in so many ways. Right now the WS is what it is and know that in the future it will still be what it is the WS but with so much to come will only be getting better and better form here on out! Great pics bro and great finds and uses, thanks for posting up. I know others sure enjoy em as do I!

@CarolKing Oh my lady I love what you do, from your posts to how you spread the word and for always being in my corner, I am very thankful to you! Gotta admit am jealous to, all these strains and flavors you have ughhhhh aint nothing like that round here. Glad you are enjoying the WS still and I hope you like my follow up today, alot wood going out very soon!

@starvingmusician24 @Prolusio is the man right!

@beach bum So glad to hear you are still enjoying that piece! Oh I have some really sweet BE to come, even have one that is outstanding with a light lime tone and pearly toned big burl eyes with dark centers ohhhh how freaking stunning they are! Even have one with a large void in the upper side wall, really like that piece for character. These pieces coming out going to make alot out people very happy! Hope all is well down your way and wish you a great week!

@SSVUN~YAH Ohhh my man, I know you been keeping an eye out, thanks for doing so & great shot!

@little maggie Thanks for letting us all know that as well, hope you are doing well, been looking out for those pieces, I will sure enough do so this week and try to get them back to you as soon as I can. I appreciate you!

@ArthurJ Nice pair you got going there, love the milk shot!
