Hello and good morning everyone, been a bit busier than normal round here lately with having no transportation, trying to work with the wifes schedule and all. As usual have been giving it hell in the shop working wood, trying my damnest to keep up with retail sales, wholesale orders, custom orders and new ventures and the like. I am really trying to keep it all together and not flip out at the amount of work I have gotten myself into, alas I have nobody to blame for the hole I have dug myself into. One day at a time, one job at a time! I dont know if you all are familiar with the saying, "Ain't no hill for a stepper" and thats what I am, a stepper! I am gonna make it happen come hell or high water! I have already talked with my main man that has been helping me in the shop turning pieces for big wholesale orders and the like, he knows a guy that is in need of some extra work, so I am gonna start having him come by and get familiar with the shop and what all I do, gonna give him a try on the lathe and see how well he is able to handle a chisel. Ed's TnT is growing so fast that I am gonna have to hire some solid help, help that I can depend on and are able to learn what is needed and what I expect of them. In the beginning the guy that is my main man now, I hurt his feelings a few times, he started off slow of course learning his technique for turning, he would spend quite a bit of time on one piece and then have me tell him thats close but in the end its crap and off to the trash it went. I demand the best quality in any piece, its gotta be damn good or its not worth the time you put into it. Each piece has to be exact and precise, each has to be smooth and sleek, no bumps or nicks, no marks or dings. My customers have come to depend on the quality and consistency of products they buy from me and that is what I demand of anyone that works for me, top notch quality with the utmost consistency, no if ands or buts about it. If there is a question about what you think I will think of it, then there should be no question for me at all, if its not perfect then dont even think for a second to ask me, throw it in the trash and start over.
There is gonna be alot going on here at Ed's TnT in the next coming months, there is gonna be some growing pains and adjustment that will have to be overcome, thats just part of the process and how growth works. Pls do hang in there with me and keep an eye out for all the great things to come!
@Disney Just holla when you are ready!
@Reflections You are right, and the good far outweighs the bad, some have it tougher than I! I am very lucky to have all that I do and am blessed beyond my dreams, a little bad here and there puts all the good into perspective.
@vakedcow You are right as well, if it wasnt for Mrs. Ed and all the help she gives here at Ed's TnT I would be in a pretty bad way, she is my #1 blessing! She does what ever I ask with no bitching or whining, she is my rock! She looks out for me and the biz and sacrifices just as much or if not more than I at times. She is a very important part of the biz and an asset to me in more ways than I could ever imagine!
@FlyingLow Got your blank yesterday and have sent ya a PM to discuss it, holla back and we will go from there. Thanks for the opportunity to do more work for ya bro, its a real honor!
