Those are some very aggressive prices make me think that they might not be the newest version out right now. I am curious as to how the quality will be with the unit. even at $40 its still a great buy. @CarbonFiberGuy when your ecapple comes in let us know the quality and if it the newest version or if they are just trying to burn out their old stock to bring in the newer ones.

At $14 shipped (what I paid) I don't care what model it is, I'm sure it is old stock. I can't help but wonder if he may of made a mistake with his initial pricing and adjusted his prices to a more normal market rate though.

I'm fairly in tune with dhgate and alibaba, the price I paid is unheard of, even at 500+ units they aren't sold wholesale this cheap (even the initial "vape through" stock). This screams oopsies, or scam imo. Scams are very easily combatted through amazon, so I'm not worried.

Yeah I'll let you know once i get it. I'm really happy I'll have a backup now as I've really come to like the ecapple . My original one is still going strong . I still like to throw it in my rotation every once in while . Most of my rotation is convection based so the ecapple provides some different conduction effects from the same material . At $70 it was a steal and prob one of the best values I've come across on portable vapes . So I think the new $40 price is still really good to anyone else interested. Only portables I still have to date are mighty , air and the ecapple so that says something ...

Yup for $15 I'll be happy just to get another mouthpiece and battery lol. Sometimes sellers will sell the price cheap to get some initial products sold so they can get feedback if you look he only lists two at each price ,and then moves it up to a higher price. That's what I think he's doing

You're probably right. Either way a sleazy thing to do, I linked the page and inadvertently contributed to the boost in price.. Kinda chitty considering I was trying to pass on a good deal. Ive been watching this unit casually quite some, $40 shipped is still cheap. I'm just recoiling from the ~300% price increase over the past hour or so.

Glad to hear you kept yours around, I've had a mixed bag with Chinese vapes but this seems to be a winner. Ive tried to dial this VAS nonsense back down, but couldn't pass this up.

Yeah i did notice that. Seems kinda silly unless homeboy selling is sitting on a bunch of them. I have seem the units comes in as low as $50 but $40 is unheard of if i needed a 3rd one id buy it again lol. the mouth piece alone would be nice even. As for batteries i have so many of them things i dont know what to do with them honestly. I give most of them away to friends or people that i know who need an 18650. I am curious to see how this will all turn out i mean if its great awesome you guys got one hell of a deal.... if its not well it was $14 kinda hard to complain lol

Nobody has cloned/copied the ecapple, so my biggest concern is an old battery and 1st or 2nd gen unit. Its amazon, I feel safer there then I do on either eBay or DHgate. I'm a 4 year prime member with thousands in trouble free purchases, a new vendor like that wouldn't stand a chance should there be any funny business.

Has anyone been in touch with Ecapples CS lately? Ive got questions regarding warranties and third party vendors. That would be sweet.

From the reviews it looks like the seller is legit but i only see 18 sales this year and maybe half of those are ecapple. The seller would be hard pressed to pull any funny business with such a bare listing its almost funny how he is still selling them. And i have been trying to contact ecapple CS for a little bit now and have had no luck i want to bug about a concentrates cap or pill for the ecapple lol

Unit arrived early! Its got the updated MP, but since its still charging I won't be able to tell whether I can adjust temp on the fly just yet.

It already feels like the best $14 I've ever spent but we'll see. Unit feels quite substantial and sturdy. The anodized aluminum shell smacks of arizer as does the units relative weight. No concentrate cup taped to side. The bubbler on my unit seems leakproof but kinda silly considering how little water it holds before you take a drink. I've already fit a bit of tubing over my MP to serve as a 14mm SONG to experiment with after I'm all charged up.

Has anyone managed to decrease the volume of the bowl via domed screen or other spacers?? Bowls pretty deep, I may use it like its supposed to be used the first go or two but I have no intention of loading .1-.2 in this guy every sesh. Also how do you guys remove the bottom screen? I'd like to check out my heater situation.

I got mine today too , Wow that was fast !!!! I got the newer version too :brow: . Mine is updated from my original I received a couple months ago . It has new style mouthpiece , & has the adjustable temp while heating . It also has a 3400mah battery instead of 2500mah , plus updated packaging that shows both IV-1 and IV1-s on the front , with a check box on the side stating if it is a IV-1 or IV-1s (looks like IV-1s just has the different bubbler ) . It does not include the wax cup and does not have one taped to the side . I got the silver ,and maybe its cause I'm just used to seeing the black , but I think It looks really high-end and I actually like the look a little better .

I think the buyer was definitely trying to get some units sold fast so we would post some positive feedback . I received a very large print paper asking me to please leave feedback . To bad there was not more at this price , I just cheacked and he is now up to $125 + shipping . @nondarb Thanks again for posting your find , really glad I saw it when I did :D.

Also I have loaded smaller loads buy using part of a crafty ss pad . I cut the pad in half and stuff it on top of the load , seems to work pretty good . Also the bottom chamber screen is just kinda set in there . I just tip the unit upside down and poke the screen a few times with a dab tool and it loosens and flips out . Under that screen is a fixed ceramic chamber screen that is not removable

SCIENCE!

I like it a lot, used it a few times now. After the first bowl I popped in a domed screen I formed to fit to cut down on size, it holds about .06 stuffed now and works great. The heatup is insane (4-5x the solos heatup), and I haven't tested myself but the temp seems fairly accurate. Its neat to watch it climb and recover as you inhale. Its funny its my cheapest vape, but the most techy.. I don't typically go for oled type gizmos.

The air intake is awfully large, makes milking a bubbler very difficult since the vape doesn't do any of the restriction for you. I'll give it a go with an airier perc tomorrow and give it a go, I'm sure I'll find something to work since its pretty cloudy dry. The little bubblers OK at best, cute novelty and fits on my herbstick eco as well. I'm surprised this unit hasn't gotten more popular, I could see this being a viable option in the $100-120 market with better marketing. Could certainly compete in the flowermate demographic. Ill try and use it exclusively another day or so to get to know it better.

When I checked tracking last night he was back down to $35! I'm going to watch this guy..

Glad someone else was able to nab one at a good price, if you hadnt no one would of believed me!

That ones a neat little piece of rubber I found that I've managed to use as a universal WPA on a few pieces, its
tapered and gray. I don't recall what it came off of though. A little 3/4-1" slip of silicone or other hose would work the same. The d020 has an 18 to 14mm reducer in as well.

I lied, hammer and lily WPA showed up and cut honeymoon short.

Still see the ecapple holding its weight as an on the go portable. I decidedly hate the MP threads and dead spot beneath the screen that accumulates gunk though. Im sure the battery compartment plug is second nature to ecig users but as someone who is unfamiliar with them I've got to say I hate it. A flip up D ring grip or something to grip would of made it so much better imo. Now that I've cheated my bowl size with the domed screen I've noticed I've had to bump up my temperatures to achieve the same level of extraction. Makes sense though since I'm a good ways off the heater.

Hello,

I bought an Ecapple IV-1 and it no longer works.
it displays an error message when the heating start : "Atomizer Short" and stops.

Does anyone ever had this problem?

Mine just arrived and is charging as we speak.

First impression - build quality looks good.
I'll update after i've tried it.

Did three burn off cycles at max temp (heat up time is incredibly fast) and gave everything a wipe.
Loaded 0.07g ground MK Ultra and set medium heat up time and 360 F temp
Had a few pulls through the mouthpiece then a few with the bubbler attached.
The flavour is great and overall I'm very impressed so far.
