Looks great! Can I ask: Did you by any chance add any clicks or resistance to the turning mechanism? That's the only improvement I can imagine making to the nano: that is, making it harder for the knob to be turned by brushing up against something. Though it'll help to have that bigger base.

Speaking of this, has anyone figured out how to add turning resistance to the knob on their current cord? I've tried rubber bands just underneath the knob, but that feels too kludgy. Even thought (in my more altered states) about getting a smart dimmer plug to control the nano from my phone.
The unit uses the same dimmer unit as the plastic one. You can pry the dial off on the old unit and put some friction electrical tape under the dial then, press the dial back on. The bigger base makes it much more difficult to accidentally move it.

This is how I did it:

Oh lordy, I'll give you the first prototype new E-dimmer if you promise never to post that again.

hahaha...you got a deal! LOL

Seriously, though....dimmer weight (compared to weight of the power cord dragging it around) and the lack of resistance to movement of the dial have been long standing issues that most (well, many?) of us have had to Macgyver it.

But yes, I will try to resist the urge to post it again! hahaha

P.S. but my MacGyver works very well! LOL

Just wanted to drop a thumbs up for the customer service at EpicVapes, for quickly taking care of a GonG that got shattered in transit. +1

Also does anyone else ever crank up to 10 to get heated up quickly, and then forget and ignite a load on the first hit, and have to wash out your gear to get rid of the terrible smoke taste?

Oh yeah, I've done that several times. Moreso when I was regularly disconnecting to hide it from plain view. I now leave it out and although I never thought I'd leave it on, I do so with confidence most times. I will uplug it if no one is going to be home for a while.

Back with a feedback on the ice stems. They are excellent and definitely cooler than both the short and long stems. The draw restriction is a bit higher. Not a huge difference but noticeable. Some like that some don't. I love it! My new favourite way to use the E-Nano. Tasty cool on-demand vapor with a full glass airpath.

The transformer and resister got fried.I sent it in to an electrics shop. They were both replaced. the enano is working again good but Theres a problem. The inner stainless steel cylinder shell keeps falling out when I turn the enano upside down (to use it in the gong). I am not sure weather if a screw is missing or is the shell held in by some glue does anyone know?

Send a message to epic vape, I know they have some repair videos that they could probably send you.

Just tighten the big screw you see there in the first pic, after you pushed the ss cylinder back in. It holds the whole arrangement.

ETA: as a mate just noticed and to be more precise: it's actually that flat washer around the screw, that holds the arrangement in place, it normally grabs the wooden ledge above. Seems to have slipped. So unscrew it a bit, push the ss cylinder back in and then tighten the screw seeing that the washer grabs the wooden ledge on one side.

These new dimmers should be available this week. Just trying to figure out how much weight to put in them so they don't move around too much.

PS. Just a heads up, shortly after the Labor Day sale E-Nano prices will be increasing.

Will these new dimmers be available for the Labor Day sale? Seeing how it's September 1'st already I assume the sale starts tomorrow on Labor Day?

They are excellent and definitely cooler than both the short and long stems.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely be upgrading to the Ice Stem when I order. Sounds like the perfect complement for when you want a single stem / short session without dealing with water.

but the wooden ledge is not close at all to the metal plate. Even if i unscrew the screw and then place the metal plate just over the wooden ledge Im not sure ill be able to put the screw back in as it might not belong enough. I will try it and report back though.

Well, when you unscrew the screw completely and then push the cylinder back in again, it should be closer to the ledge again, so that the washer can grab it. At least, that's the theory.

A word from @ACE OF VAPE might be helpfull here :)

Edit:
Here is, how that looks like in the unit I renovated some time ago:

I cant see how the metal plate can grab the wooden ledge.
From looking at it, it seems to me all the metal plate and screw does is keep the electrics attached to heater.
whats the latch?
I cant really understand whats going on.

If someone had a picture of there enano it would help a lot probably
