Not really sure if this is supposed to be here but here goes! IF the Mods see this and feel this is out off place plz feel free to correct it.

Hello guys been a long time lurker, again, for some years trying to shake off VAS but yet here I am again.
I have been toying around with the Pyrovap for 2 weeks now ready to give some toughts about it.
Like the Vapcap it is operated with a triple torch lighter which makes for some really fast heatup times.
6 sec initial startup/heatup and 3 or less when reheating.
The System is very well tought out but it does still need more improvement.
THe filling port is located under the silicone mouthpiece just before the air inlet. Remove the mouthpiece from the stem and you will see it. With the Pyrovap comes a little white bottle (plastic) Where u can load up your favorite e-juice and afterwards put it in the Pyrovap, the bottle has a little metallic tube very thin that fits right in the fillingport :).
I am not sure about how much you can fit in exactly but it is quite alot. One would say 2 ml but thats prolly too much... more like 1.5 ml or something.
Anyway this is more then enough to last you a while depends on the usage etc. Now how this works, if you messed around with your juice try to be as clean as possible the area around the fillingport needs to be clean of ejuice. afterwards you replace the mouthpiece on the stem again and slide it back until u see the air inlet line up with the hole in the mouthpiece.
I will try and get pics up later today about this. How it works exactly.
Now you are ready to rock! Hold it down with the metal cap pointing downwards So it can start working. You will see 2 O-rings with a white ring in between near the cap. This is the wicking system or drip system. I thought this was very well thought out by George! You can activate the dripping make it go a bit faster by starting to heat the cap until it clicks.
Keeping your eye on the O-rings you will see Juice starting to form wanting to go downwards to the cap and the Wick/gauze that is placed inside the tube. (Cap should still be pointing downwards to aid the drip)
Meanwhile u can start to puff on it a little bit to check if theres allready vapor comming out.
This part is a little slow and might need improvement. But all in all this is great stuff! I wish sometimes when i think about these vapes i had the kind of thinking cap these guys(George) have. Besides the point tho.
To go on, Slowly but surely fat clouds will start to produce depends on how fast the drip fills up the Gauze. Taste is, hmm its quite good. With the glass airpath etc not sure how much it affects taste because the taste from my E-ciggie seems to be almost as pure. One thing tho, try to align the lighter with the tip of your cap front 5mm. And DO NOT OVERHEAT. if you do that you're fine. When you hear the click? move lighter away dont wait for it to go out. move it away.
Taste will be pure and stay pure.

I might make a video later on about how it works exactly if needed.
When you dont need it anymore, just wait for the second click after using it and u can put it back in the carrying case it comes with no problem. Funny part is the dripping stops as well :). This drip system is somethign else. It intrigues me, let me tell you first time i loaded pyrovap up i did it wrong way and had to clean it out ruining the whole system. Took me days to get it back together again. But with some help from George It got back together again the way it should so no biggy. You know this was actually fun.
This whole thing made me wanna see it back together even knowing how fine and small work this vape is, i still made it getting it back together, it was fun to do!
The o-rings need to be in its correct place on the inner tube otherwise the thing won't work.

this is a pic from george but you get the picture i guess about the O-rings etc. I will put more pics up with mouthpiece removed etc.

All in all I like this little micro Cig. Dunno what else to call it hehe! Its fun to play around with as you have to light it etc feels like a real cig sort off but isn't. Easy of use is right up there with the Vapcap.
Just do not overheat! Cannot stress this enough.
To go on, I am using this over my E-cig atm. I know what kind of materials this Pyrovap is made out off.
The other E-cig i have? not so much. I do not trust it.
The pyrovap can do just as much , is smaller to carry around pocketable, need a triple torch lighter tho, That is depleted fast. But i have loads of Butane so thats not a big problem.
The drip system is almost there, but not yet. i say it like it is. But i know George is aware of the problem and is also working on it.

It is fun to make it work and then use it satisfying results :) And results can be very fine taste nice clouds.

thx for reading

Here is an in use video on the PyroVap.

I've been mostly focused on the VapCap as it seems to have the most interest at this point, but as the two share many parts, building them will be straight forward once my caps arrive.

Cheers,

George

Thanks for the small review indeed @Dopevape!!! I also have one pre-ordered and can't wait to try it out! It could be my pre-VapCap vape when in a bar or coffee place just to get the surrounding eyes get used to it as an e-cig and then bust out the loaded VapCap and have a go with it as well! :brow:

Great minds think alike. It would be nice to have both on me at the same time. I have been thinking this since the beginning. I have total PyroVap VAS and after trying George's prototype i can't wait to get my hands on one.

I don't use E juice, but in reading up on it, one of the harder parts of getting into the hobby is understanding resistance, watts, replacing coils, and eventually building coils. I found having to rebuild oil pens frequently to be frustrating.

Since the pyrovap doesn't use coils, replacing the wick could be much easier than rebuilding a coil. I think having a cheap and easy to replace wick could be a huge selling point. After all wire costs a lot more than cotton.

Rebuilding can be a little frustrating at times, especially in the beginning, but it gets a lot easier and has become second nature to me. The biggest issue here is that if you choose an unregulated battery mod (no resistors) you would need to learn Ohm's law and all that stuff. If you choose regulated, all you need to do is build the coil to the battery's resistance range and it's pretty much set. I am a complete noob to unregulated mods and rebuildable dripping atomizers. I didn't really learn Ohm's law prior to rebuilding, I just followed a youtube tutorial for those basic tanks like the Evod and Protank.

I've found that the cotton is actually more expensive. A 100 ft roll of kanthal (wire) averages $5 and you only use like 4-5 inches per coil at most.

You can re-use coils for a while, but cotton is usually replaced fairly quickly compared to the coils. Sterile cotton balls aren't expensive, but it's not very cheap. Japanese cotton IMO is pretty expensive. I can probably go through half a cotton ball per coil so by that nature I need to buy way more cotton than kanthal.

But I agree with you that the PyroVap's maintenance would be less expensive than your standard tank rebuilding. However, I think some would factor in the cost of butane, so they might not see it as a big cost saver.

Didn't think of the butane. I wonder how many mls of juice could be vaped with one full torch. If I got this it'd be for THC e juice, but I know nicotine vapers vape a lot more than I do.

I'm surprised that cottons more expensive, I think I was charged way too much when I got kanthal at the local B&M. Good to know.

I should have said that these are online/eBay/Amazon prices. Yeah much more expensive at B&Ms. One B&M tried to charge me $13 on a USB eGo charger . The lowest B&M price for kanthal I've found was $15/100 ft. Cotton is much cheaper because you can get it in so many different general stores.

Thanks for the review, @Dopevape. You mentioned it tasting nearly as pure as your ecig, but didn't mention what your setup was and I'm curious. The dripping system is intriguing, I agree. I know cloud density is hard to compare, but can you compare it to your current setup? My usual is 5 wrap dual coils, either 22 or 24 (sometimes I'll even do a single 20 gauge like 7 wraps) gauge depending on how I feel, on a dripper... on a mechanical. I like having my own weather system, so to speak. The clouds don't look too big in the video, at least compared to my setup (though some would say it's a bit excessive, heh).

@Quetzalcoatl I have to correct maybe on being "nearly as pure" cause it is just about as pure as my previous and only setup A Kangertech Device, http://www.kangeronline.com/products/mini-protank-2-clearomizer With a EVOD battery unit. I never went in too deep into the Ecig-thing as it is my only one.
Damn, when i see you talking about 5 wrap dual coils i'm sure you have been modding the F*** out of it :p?
I have been using these http://www.kangeronline.com/products/protank-heating-coil?variant=312117129
I'm guessing this is a single coil prolly so there this is what i was using.1.8 ohms and 2.5 ohms.
It gives dense clouds. I have to admit tho this Ecig was pretty cheap. Compared to mods etc.

Pyrovap can do equally as good in density of clouds depending on how good the drip works. I have ruined mine a little bit, i did manage to put it back together again but I might have ruined the O-rings... The drip needs to be more constant. When using it that is. It is a little slow. I'm sure George knows this and is working on a solution as we speak.
It does taste just as pure as my E-cig maybe even more pure cause there is a glass airpath involved.
I can testify alltho not with video, that is does or can create some dense clouds if you want. Just the drip of the fluid needs to be more constant to achieve this, more fluid in the gauze, there for my thinking is there is more that can get heated up to temperature and in turn give more dense clouds. right?

I made my first purchases of e liquid in anticipation of this device. Got a little variety from lizard juice all either low nicotine or no nicotine. I anticipate me using this at bbq's, bar, bon fires, or times when i am around smokers but can't vaporize herb at that moment.

@Dopevape, it's been a few weeks for you now, have you needed to clean anything yet?

Getting real tired of re-wicking/dry burning every 2-4 days...

I am on the list for one of these, and was happy with the demo unit i tried when i met George. Can you explain this process a little more, i have almost no e cig experience.

I am on the list for one of these, and was happy with the demo unit i tried when i met George. Can you explain this process a little more, i have almost no e cig experience.

Basics: A coil surrounds a wick; cotton, silica or SS mesh. The coil is the heating element.

Not entirely sure what's going on, but this is my take on it: the cotton and silica wicks do not wick fast enough from inside to outside, so some eliquid is "baked" inside the wick which reduces wicking ability. I've felt the used up wick and it definitely feels stiffer than your regular eliquid soaked cotton.

The coil also doesn't completely vaporize the eliquid every time you toke, so over time you will get a black build up on your coil. This with an inefficient (dirty/used up) wick leads to unsatisfying vaping, usually in taste and vapor production.

So you need to replace the wick and burn off (dry burn-- heating the coil to red hot temps without a wick) or ISO soak the black stuff. I don't have any extra atomizers or tanks, so I don't like to wait hours for the black stuff to come off.

I'm hoping the PyroVap is a little different. From what I think is going on, the eliquid is transferred from the white wick-thing to the evaporator mesh, so there's not actual vaporization going around the wick, reducing the need to replace the wick, but also that the evaporator mesh takes the brunt of the vaporization, basically making it the only thing you need to clean.

@VapCap, feel free to correct me on the wicking system, but if I have the right idea, I would love to buy extra mesh so I can have a couple soaking while I use another.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. It certainly does not sound like a deal breaker to me but i can certainly see the need for extra supplies. I would likely be a very light user, so as long as it would last me a couple of days before needing soaking i would be satisfied. Thanks again

Certainly not, I'm grateful for my current set up. I've gone from 15 cigs a day to 1 or 2 a week at most. I plan on buying additional atomizers so that I can soak a few at a time while vaping on a fresh coil set up, but money's been tight for a little while and I spent the spendable money on a massive bulk of butane for my Hammer/Lotus. It will happen in the next couple of weeks but it will still be a little annoying to deal with, haha.

@Fenton Mewley Yes i have cleaned it some allready but no big deal here. Only thing u gotta worry about is getting it back together. But once u got this down its no problem to rinse and repeat. I have just rinsed it out with warm water to clean out previously used Eliquid.

PyroVaps start shipping tomorrow!

It has been a bit of a wait, but I finally have the parts to finish assembling the first PyroVaps!
I am very eager for feedback on this one as it is new and I will definitely benefit from other peoples usage and input. Forum members have a special place in my development and I want to encourage everyone here to contact me for any reason as my goal is to simply produce the best non-electronic vaporizer available.

Big thank you to everyone!

Awesome George. This one should be fun.i have had eliquid for months with no way to use it so looking forward to this one. Cheers.

Edit. My beta VC may eventually get downgraded to tobacco use but the only time i have tried tobacco in any vape was at the Cannabis Cup with George. The good taste was surprising

LOL! I am so close...order #207 here. Keep on plugging George. You're making good progress so I know I'll have my VapCap soon.

Thinking about adding a PyroVap to my order before it ships. Can't remember if it's been covered in the thread before, but can the PV handle CO2 oil or is it too thick?

I dont believe the Pyro will work with oil but George has worked on a concentrate specific model that will likely be finalized sometime after things slow down, and there are no.more production preorders.

Am i the only one who has held a TI model prototype in my hand? I don't believe i had the chance to try it at the cup,.but.it was still cool to see.

Has anyone got a cap with a laser engraved logo on it yet? I know George eventually wants that on there

That is not a drug, it’s a plant.....
Didn't know a thread specifically devoted to the PyroVap existed til now....glad to see it.

I posted this in the main thread but probably should have posted it here....
Wondering if I can use the PyroVap with CO2 oil or is it too thick?
