Oh man, back in the day I had been out of weed (that's what it was then) for awhile.
Went to go play disc-golf with a buddy who had a joint rolled 1/2&1/2 MJ/tobacco.
Well I hit that thing hard a few times and was puking and green within ten minutes.

The only things I miss about smoking are the toys. I have a nice lighter collection but only use one or two with my Vapman, and all of the pipes... you could buy a pipe for $10-25 . Now if I want a new vape it will cost $100-300

Nope. My palette has changed now to the point where all I can taste is burning smoke and barely any of the quality herb. Not to mention the waste!
I do get this thing as well nowadays.. I don't enjoy it that much and most important of all, I cannot understand the taste and to a certain extend the strength of it.. I'm used in all the flavors and nice mellow buzzes when this does not exist with tobacco..
Totally agree with you @Vaked420 but Im not rolling my normal j anymore.. for me it's just whenever I'm with friends that don't vape and don't have their own stuff..otherwise, there's always a small temptation when you see the nice fatty but most of the times I'll pass on it and fill my mouth with some sexy vapour...
When I'm home chilling, doing some work etc I'll only vape.. strictly!
Another thing that I love about not smoking anymore is that my house doesn't smell like shit anymore and you just feel the fresh air inside.. which is another problem with my smokers friends, unfortunately they're too many of them even some that had quit smoking and started it again with the j's and shit, and I always have to be the jerk that will break their balls about not smoking and stuff.. which eventually has led to preferring seeing them outside for a coffee or a beer rather than having my house smoked up
oh well.. we're getting older... don't we.. ??

I'm from the hood. Every one smokes blunts either dutchies or backwoods.
I still smoke backwoods (I hate anything with cancer paper in it) from time to time but I have come to prefer Vaporization. I also like that I use way less herb. Rolling fucking 1 gram backwoods was killing my stash at an alarming rate.
Just the taste alone makes me want to only vape however.

I have gone from smoking about 6 joints a day to only vaping. It has been hard but I have managed to do it. Although I honestly feel that I am using way more bud which is a bummer.
I had a small J the other day and it tasted like the first time you try a cigarette, the most vile taste. I think it is the very first time I am all for the vape rather than a joint.

It's a very hard thing to give up, the 50/50 weed tobacco mix. I really found it like having two addictions at once. I got used to the cigarettes by themselves but also realised I was smoking fatties in the evenings and needing a really big tobacco hit to feel nice.
Since swapping to vaping, I quit the cigarettes and now only vape e-cigs and weed. Going back to smoking no longer holds any comfort feeling for me, too worked up about the threat of the nasties inside to really enjoy it with tobacco and having a pure joint has never tasted right to me. I really hope this continues for me, I don't see myself going back to smoking in any form

I just had a vapor bong session this morning.
@Winegums pointed me in the right direction and suggested I purchase a 10-14mm gong piece for the whip:
I will be upgrading to a high temp silicone whip ASAP (also recommended by winegums). But in the mean time I have to work with what i got:
I cleaned my bong prior to the session and it is still clean. There is no resin on the downstem and the piece doesn't smell like a diaper pail. I don't think I will ever burn trees with my bong ever again for the simple fact vaping means I don't have to clean it as often.
Now I just have to put the backwoods down for good.

Do you have any portable vaporizers? That would probably help kick the habit when you can't bring your herbalizer.

I have the magic flight launch box.
But the battery shit is so fucking cumbersome. I am going to buy the power adapter soon so I can at least use it in my car. Having to keep those batteries charged is a pain in the ass, having to take out the battery after every draw is a pain in the ass, having to shake it and stir it frequently while using it is also extremely tedious.
I bought the magic flight prior to the herbalizer. It's just that I got frustrated and gave up using it. About a month ago I watched a youtube video and got perfect draws from it. I used it until I got the money for my herbalizer. That thing is collecting dust right now. I actually kinda don't like the magic flight but the power adapter may influence my opinion in another direction. I Just think it's an annoying little contraption that is needlessly difficult to use in spite of its portability. Also, if the temperature is too high (due to your draw speed) it will combust and all you have is an electric pipe. I fucking hate that shit and your beautiful vape session is ruined!
I honestly don't understand how this thing has a whole subreddit dedicated to it.
I want the davinci IQ for a portable vape but the power adapter will suit my needs for now and it is actually within my budget. When I did use the MFLB I outside I was always in my car anyway.

I personally feel that the MFLB is a relic of days past, when affordable, small, convenient, cheap, portable, and a slew of other adjectives were hardly used in the same sentence when describing a vaporizer. Thankfully we now have a plethora of options, and advancement in vape and battery technology has put many of these new great devices into the hands of the people for cheap (relatively).
However, that being said, the MFLB still holds a place in my heart, and much like a bike, I never really forget how to use it. Every now and again, I'll pull the ol' boy out and have a tasty little sesh.
It got me to give up those nasty joints, so in the end that's all that matters and I shall forever be grateful to the little guy!

You have to get yourself a Vapcap.
There are no batteries, no electronics, no chargers or wires of any kind. The Vapcap heats up to toking temps within 5 seconds and can be heated by just about any external heat source, be it a jet lighter, bic lighter, candle, solar heater, campfire or stove element.

Smoked joints for 27 years with tobacco. Switched completely to vaping 4 weeks ago and have no desire to smoke again ever! I've been trying to quit smoking for twenty years and I'm still in shock I'm actually doing this!

Not to someone who already smokes tobacco or cigarettes it isn't. I've always found a pure joint to be way too harsh and not enjoyable to smoke at all. Thankfully i don't have to do either anymore.
