I have found that you need to fill it MINIMALLY to the top of the white part to work well. But you can also go higher - as much as you can pack in and still have the oven door close is what I often do.And the oven is just the white part, right?
I tend to use the longer mouthpiece. While I usually don’t get bothered by the heat, I have a friend who can’t tolerate the heat from the flat mouthpiece, but is fine with the longer one. This whole device gets warm even when I’m just taking a couple of hits. Not hot, but I can feel it from the flat mouthpiece on my lips. Not a big deal for me, but I’m sure if you’re doing a whole session, it could get uncomfortable.
1970 is the year I first had CANNABIS so may-b I don’t have your experience?@Jill NYC and @naddude Regarding the spacers, I've been talking to these guys: https://www.navapouch.com/, they offer a fillable natural fiber pouch to place your herbs in- and it could in fact act as a spacer in a way. What do you guys think about this approach? I see some benefits, such as convenience to carry them and the ability to keep the chamber clean.
@cpl5938 congrats on the new Miqro addition and thank you. There is a boost mode on the device that most ignore, but it also serves as "economy mode" and that might work for your style of vaping. During a session, hold the control button down and you will see arrows start to go up, and it will tell you the temp it is boosted to. When you let go, it cuts power and will start to cool down and turn off if you don't press any more buttons.
About screens- some people use them, but we've really consistently tried to design vaporizers that don't need them. Putting a metal screen in a ceramic chamber just doesn't seem right. I'd recommend that users adjust their grind before going that route.
Has anyone tries dropping an extra pearl or S.S. mesh pad in the chamber to decrease its size?
I agree totally Jill@Davinci_vaporizer
That pouch thing might be helpful for some people, but for me it looks like a lot of extra work. I just want to be able to fill the oven as much/little as I want and get to it.
If I understand the concept correctly, you need to put the ground bud in a dispenser, then use that dispenser to load the pod and then put the pod in the oven. And I am still not sure it will really resolve the problem.
I would rather have a spacer I can just drop in after loading oven.

Speaking of lights... is there a comprehensive guide somewhere to the meaning of different led displays?Speaking of light shows, I have the LEDs on low/stealth mode. They are very bright otherwise.
IIRC someone did test the pearl loose, but had some problems? I doubt there's enough room for two.

Here's what DaVinci had to say about this:
"I removed the pearl off the post and flipped the pearl upside down to use the post push the pearl into the chamber acting like a spacer. It's not a true spacer but it had came handy in a few situations.

Thanks ... it's worth a try
YMMVI was hoping that I was just an idiot for not trying this simple hack.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work well for me. I tried a little more than .05 g with the pearl dropped in:
1) barely any vapor, although taste was nice.
2) didn’t get any powerful effects - I can get much more medicated with same amount with other vapes. (Though, with larger amounts, it packs a punch!)
3) feels like I wasted herb
4) the way the oven is configured, the pearl slides down when taking hits, which is why I don’t think it works well.
For what it’s worth, I tried and here was my experience:
YMMV
Many thanks, DVV! I’ll give those videos a look. Vapewell!I was thinking of those little glass flowers as well. One caveat is that the "petals" sometimes broke off. I'd be worried that contact with the pearl would cause this to happen. Not to mention, fishing them out of the material wasn't ideal.
@Jill NYC, I agree, the pouches do seem a bit cumbersome to deal with. I'm in the product teams ear about a solution daily.
@VapeWell, welcome and temp control is our thing! Yes, there are a ton of factors such as moisture that will affect the overall temperature or at least the time that it takes the herb to get to that temp. You are correct, it is the temp of the oven that is causing the readout- it's really the one non-variable that we can offer in this case.
Have you checked out our youtube channel to learn about what the lights mean? It's a good starting point. I think the only thing I forgot to cover there is- when you see a single row of lights flashing during a smart path session, it's a countdown for session length...like a candle counting down from 5 minutes. It was one of those weird features that got added last minute.

That would probably work. I’ve never tried, although I feel like the flavor might get compromised a bit. I do like doing that with my Crafty.(
Too bad. What about concentrate pads? They are malleable and breathe?
I was going to try that. It works in other vapes.......
I'm getting a little more than 15 minutes from the included batteries and a little more than 20 minutes from KeepPower 1200 mAh batteries off of Amazon.
So the ideal thing for me would be a capsule or basket type thing for ease of swapping between strains without dumping or wasting herb or trying to remember where I’m up to etc
Any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated
If you want the absolute best available anywhere, this is it currently:
https://www.18650batterystore.com/18350-battery-p/vapcell-18350-battery-1100mah.htm
They TEST slightly better than the OEM but only about 50 mAh, a bit over 10%, not enough for an additional session.
