No off gassing on my unit DV2 from PUI, whatsoever!

The MP issue was annoying for sure, my original MP worked for 2 minutes, really. No Pb for me because i like to mod for making mine.

I packed into oven. Some people will have "off gassing" if you don't clean your bottom screen EXTREMELY well. So dont confuse yourself. I thought i had off gassing until i switched my bottom screen whin was a pain in the ass to do

Hi all, my first post.

Some history : bought my DV new in Oct. 12. Also own an AR SOLO (wife's favorite), and a AR V-TOWER. Haven't combusted anything this year (my New year"s resolution :>) and have spent the last week reading all 111 posts on this thread. Pretty incredible resource, tons of tips tricks and vapor wisdom.

My Dv is the old model, no serial number that I can see. When I got it I did burn a few dry bowls, didn't know about the off-gassing never noticed any but never thought to look with a flashlight, it had a bit of a glue gun new tv smell but slight and was quickly gone.

Mine never shows the battery meter fully charged (just animating) until I unplug it no matter how long on the charger.

Simple solution for gooey stuff or kiff... load some regular medium grind on the bottom then some of the other sandwiched between another pinch or 2 of regular grind... works for me.

Gotta say I must have got lucky because this thing has served me faithfully since day one and I still see no sign of batteries losing any strength yet or anything.

Shouldnt the red light come on while charging? Its not but the battery looks like its charging.
Also can it be charged while its off?

Red light only comes on when/while it's powering up. The main power switch needs to be on (blue screen on) to charge. Also nice that it CAN be used while charging, gotta love that......

Thank you, been a while since i used it and i forgot. Ya the ability to use it while charging is a huge positive.

Mouthpiece was such a disapointment. The one thing i thought couldnt break actually broke. Also anyone else pull out all the hairs from the brush by mistake while removing it from the hole? I did not expect that to happen either. Also offgasing? What is that? Is it resin or plastic? Anyone else experience the same issues?

This vaporizer failed me. It was good when i bought it but everything quickly went downhill. I dont use it anymore.

Same. The brush broke Day 1 Use 1. 2x snorkels failed. DaVinci stopped replying to my help ticket once the Ascent launch happened, so I gave up on the company. I still keep mine as a back up, but the wonky snorkel is not worth the hassle for my vaping needs.

I have had no problems with original mouthpiece or longer snorkel. What exactly happens to users who break them, and how?

The brush breaks if you pull out by bristles. Don't! Don't push in all the way so fingers can grab some of the metal shaft.

I feel the same way, thats why im selling it today. Just get a solo with a wooden stem and a power adapter. Ur going to be paying like 30$ more but getting something much better in every facet.

I prefer the DV over the solo only for the easier draw, I prefer breathing in the vapor rather than having to pull hard like a milkshake or a cigar. To each his own I guess.....

Not Mine. It charges with the Mains switch off. Guess you would just have to try both ways and see.

It is odd that vaporizers are the only product I know of that are so inconsistent, not just in performance but function in the "Same" model.

The Solo looks like a smoking device. It is not stealth like the da Vinci. No way would I take out the Solo in public. One of the great benefits of the da Vinci is that it looks like a walkie talkie or a cell phone.

I just plug it in and Know its going to charge. I flip on the switch turning on the display in order to see if it is fully charged after an hour and a half or so.

That was changed at some point. Now you can charge with the unit off. Mine was one of the 1st ones produced so I turn it on to charge. If it'll charge when off then you're fine. If it doesn't, then turn it on to charge it.

I turn it on and pull out the plug to see how many bars I have. Usually it just lives on the charger so I always have full charge.

The ones that have been shown here had the metal fitting at the bottom pull out, leaving the tube, mesh sleeve and MP loose. My understanding is the traditional way to do this is to use the stem as a handle.....

Where were you with all this useful advice about not pulling the brush out by the bristles? I could have used that earlier on.....now I have a brushless poker.

With the new design of the top with the recessed base for the flexi straw they break if you push the lid as far back as you can, bending the straw and separating the inner tube from the little nub on its base.

I have Never ever used it as a handle as that never looked like a good idea but I have had 3 flexi straws on 2 DVs fall apart.

but I will try with unit off and see if it works. I would certainly prefer to charge with unit off, as I usually do it overnight.

"I pulled out the bristles at first as well - which was somewhat stupid on my part. Luckily my vendor (EZvapes.com) sent me another for free. Now I don't push it in hole all the way so I can get a grip on metal part.

Otherwise, the vape has performed beautifully with no issues, including the mouthpiece. I do handle it carefully, do not let dogs chew on mouthpiece or use it as a frisbee."

They were correct when the manual was written, and it'll charge when on, so there's no problem really.

The regular that came with it as there were no snorkels yet and since I never broke mine I never ordered what I consider and over priced snorkel. I did want one but not for that money. I can just add tubing to make the path longer if I so choose.

Smart woman. I paid the $ and only used it a few times before it broke too.
