Discontinued Daisy vaporizer by Triihouse

Floating on.
Have you guys acidentally combusted any of your herb in the Daisy?

No combustion, but I have had some scorching / charring in the center of the herb load. Always right in the center. This happened when I was experimenting with the torch flame and my draw. I experimented with putting the flame inside the tube a little bit, then I practiced different draw speeds and intensities.

I found that if the flame is too high / inserted into the heat intake tube too far, the temps simply get too high and cause the herb to lightly scorch. And with the draw, I found that stronger, harder pulls do not cause scorching unless my flame is too close to the tube. So I learned to not be greedy with the flame, and just let that heat travel in as is recommended. I also stir the load after each hit to get the maximum use of my herb and to help prevent heat tunneling. I LOVE how easy and mess-free it is to open and stir.

If you haven't seen the video on the first page, WATCH IT! One inch flame to the tip of the glass works great.

I have a full beard and, after experimenting some, found that I had to press my face / lips into the mouthpiece to obtain a better seal. Works like a champ. I would never consider shaving just to vape. I have to keep the facial growth because it ain't growin up top anymore :o.

Have yet to combust using the method shown in the video. YMMV

The best tip I got was from Triihouse a while back. Listen for the whistle. The higher pitched and more sustained the whistle, the better hit. I like to dip the tip of the flame into the tube and move it in and out till I feel the heated vapor on my throat. Then I cut the flame and draw the vapor from the heat. Huge hits this way.

Greetings all: So I conveniently received my Daisy vape on Friday for the long weekend and have been rigorously testing it ever since. It has, in fact, become my favorite vape! Daisy, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

So, as others have mentioned, everything Tommy says in his videos is right on the money. You get big clouds with a tiny amount of herb for sure. It is indeed simple as fuck to use. But best of all for me is the Taste that Daisy imparts. Deeeeelicious. There is a hint of wood in there for me, but just a tiny hint, and the wood seems to cool or otherwise condition the vapor to make the same ganj taste completely different in Daisy than my EQ, Ascent, or Vaporblunt 2.0. Really nice taste!

The design is completely ingenious and it's a piece of cake to use! Clearing out the chamber is as simple as swiveling the lower bowl section upside down over a trashcan and blowing gently. Et voila, fresh as a Daisy. Pardon the pun. I am quite blazed! That's another thing I love about Daisy. She really packs a punch. It takes it a moment to sneak up on you then suddenly you realize you are completely stoned. The high is a very good one and I agree that this "vape signature" idea is in full effect with Daisy. The effect she delivers is solid and subtely different from some other vapes. I wish I could put my finger on exactly how, but it gives an almost hash like effect for me. The same weed vaped out of Daisy and I had more of a body buzz. Perhaps this has something to do with the unique "open air" draw of the Daisy. I don't know quite how to describe that either so I'll repeat what one of the eloquent early reviewers said: it's like breathing in before a yawn. Wide open hits. Flavor city. And on a side note, it doesn't seem to irritate my throat like some of my other vapes.

Basically, effectiveness and flavor are what are really doing it for me with Daisy. But it should also be mentioned that she is truly a thing of great beauty. An objet d'arte. Functional minimalist sculpture. I really can't overstate what a looker this little vape is. The grains in the walnut are eye-catching and on the sides of the blocks, that is, viewing Daisy in profile, you can see the growth rings very clearly. I found myself wondering what years of my life those rings might represent. What history went down during the time this tree was growing. The wood arrives with a very understated polish--I plan on hitting it with some safe wood polish to really bring out the lustre. So yes, Daisy is a beauty queen and she will only become more beautiful in my tender loving care.

And back to functionality for a moment. I could sum up her convenience and effectiveness by saying that she's basically as easy to use as any pipe you smoked out of in college. Fire up your torch and go. Possibly easier cuz clean up is such a breeze. So if you are looking for something to get you medicated in a hurry, say, duck out and have a few hits without the kids noticing or something, than Daisy is a good way to go.

And one other thing for you exiting Daisy users. I have one of those Czech pipe tools and it is completely the perfect thing for working with Daisy. The scoop measures out just enough to cover the screen, the stir thingu does it's job like a champ, and the packer evens things out so that I feel I get better hits after tamping down the load. I am adding the link below to the ebay seller I used. 4 bucks and the best vape tool ever!

So I hope I don't too gushy or hyperbolic but honest to goodness guys, I can't find a bad thing to say about Daisy. She's a fabulous addition to my vape collection and fill a hole I didn't even realize I had (analog vape). She's beautiful, effective, fast, clean. Did I say beautiful? Plus Daisy is American made and a great value. And the owner is a nice guy. So truly gang, if there are any fence sitters on this one, go right ahead. I can't see how anyone couldn't enjoy this vape a ton.

Sorry no pics or videos. Not a techie.

@G Hog thanks for the link to the pipe tool, that was so nifty I ended up ordering it. Would be neat to find a little case or pouch for it in case it starts to get gunked up

Okay peeps, daisy path is open for me. After an heavy VAS infection in the past, i allowed myself very few device more in the collection or for offering.

In my goto use, i recently turned back to vaporgenie which i did not like at first. Daisy is a bet on a design of simplicity wihtout heat exchanger and i bought it from the link that i thank tommy to put.

The first impression is that is a beautifull handmade device. Except the glass pieces, other parts of device can endure mechanical abuses.

The magnets are just user firendly and very clever since polarities have been arranged so that the cubes does fit in only one position.

Here is a convection passive device (like the heat exchanger is the device itself) but active for user. Powerfull indeed.

The first session was very good as a vape veteran. I first put the 1/3 inside and put the wooden mouth piece since it was not fitting my mouth. I think i will put it back because of the protection function it takes on the big glass tube.

I seeked the whistle sound and i have to say by checking constantly the aspects of the load that i could spend the load really progressively. I squeezed the very uniform spent load with herbie to see how much it remains. Practically nothing.

And finally the torch lighter which seems very usefull for Lotus too!!

Well, for the manufacturer, hip hip!

Hurray:mmmm::dog:

More adventures to come for sure, many stories to tell.

Great Choice @steama . The Daisy along with your Vapman ought to keep you very Happy.

I'm loving my Daisy. Oddly she's one of the first things almost everyone who's used mine will inquire about "how she's doing?" they ask when i see 'em now, even before asking how i'm feelin' or doin'.

Her Performance just Blows everyone away !

I think her elegant and simple design is what got me right between the eyes. Simple, beautiful, and ingenious. The Daisy sticks in your mind for sure. Watching the demo videos you immediately realize this thing is the bomb. Also what could give a faster full hit than the Daisy? The Daisy is an amazing piece and I cannot wait until mine arrives.

I agree & wonder if any folk with the herbie sub or evo own a daisy?...anyone?

I think the direct flame design & longer mouthpiece makes for effortless inhalation of instant cool thick smoke like rips.I think the daisy will be great for lazy people...well it's em effortless..it gets me couch locked and dreaming of munchies just like the good old times.

Smaller flavoursome rips are possible but right now I'm enjoying the gas guzzling thick belching rips daisy can produce easily.Just like a water piece but without water.

I have had fun with many hard hitters logs & desktops up to now, lotus included and would say this thing astonishes me what leaves my lungs on exhalation.well vapor is so cool for a direct draw vape.

Daisy and Vapman in rotation here right now.both are great.vapman wins flavour wise for me but I need more time with daisy to make an honest opinion. Both provide a unique experience, also both quickly provide the calming sedatory like effect on mind and muscle I am looking for after a usually busy physical day at work.

I also love this antique looking jobon torch that arrived yesterday $7 on the e place. It has a pull out toggle for flame adjustment, large volume and works very well. Flame is narrow. The angled flame tube is almost the same size as the heater glass and the black switch you see is a flame lock, handy for some.
Anyway here she is....

Sooo, how does it compare to the Lotus mate? Butane taste or smell?

No butane taste at all so far.

I'm getting wood for sure in the background but the wood smells will mellow and the wood will season inside with resins I guess, after a time.More needed:D:love:

As for comparison to the lotus.

I prefer direct draw mostly but use a water piece when the mood takes

flavour is cleaner with lotus direct draw owing to shorter air path & the woodiness that is the walnut daisy.

lotus hits can be hot and harsh on a longer draw with the 6 in stem for me.Coughing fits.I'm getting awesome results without coughing using the daisy.

Out and about Lotus in your e pocket.daisy needs a bag or case. Big girl.

both daisy and lotus need to be watched while being used so stealth in public with either is difficult in my opinion.there my friend the vapman shines.Conduction yes but heat in your lap and enjoy you're view around you as you inhale.but I digress.

When I'm using lotus I have to preheat the plate wait and draw after 7 seconds or so.7 seconds holding the lighter on that spot and another 10 seconds pulling vapor. With the Daisy vapor is almost instant 1 second +.I'm liking that.

Daisy performance direct draw is similar to lotus with a water piece.Similar powerful volume billowing white vapor is capable with both units.Daisy does the cooling without water.like a lung almost but without the fiddling.

I Enjoy my lotus for sure, but right now it's Daisies turn and .....
The other thing .Whew!.she is well capable of putting You on your'e ass:lol:

Flick back if you have a moment.I wrote something on the page before comparing the two.

Lotus has better flavour IMO. that will depend on strain too. Some strains on direct draw can be over the top and too intense right down to the final draws.mybe potency, I guess. My current strain is powerful but nearing its end of shelf life.good flavour but I'm keen to move on & try some new top shelf again.

Finally things that might be an issue with daisy.

Either of the two glass tubes hitting the floor.oops..stainless tubes would be great for back up.
The rest of daisy is chunky wood and a 1/2 sis screen will survive anything you throw at her or throw her at,she will not break.

I have to be honest I have walked past my router and thought 'mmmmm...Daisy how do you fancy some curves'.

Cool thing I noticed during a session the daisy wisps vapor out of the mouthpiece if You accidentally don't clear her which is easy to do sometimes:o...She looks like a smoking gun under the right light.must get a photo next time..pretty cool looking before You reach over and taste the final drafts from her.

It's the ease of daisy, gets it done.

Still enjoying Daisy, combusted last night.serious milk with the daisy and super quick too

I'm using mine without the wooden mouthpiece block.the unit is lighter and it feels even more like a water pipe which is a good thing.

if I could get a glass trumpet mouthpiece for Daisy, that would be the dogs.

VAS is a biatch!!! i have developed a love for utilitarian vapes...simple practical efficient. Using a flame and breath to control temperature is true vaporizing IMHO...i dont need a temp guage...i got tastebuds for that. I must have one of these eventually. I think the Daisy is a far better design than the Waldo.

Hey, did you happen to check out the Daisy? What do you think?
I would love to but for now I'm just window shopping. It looks really cool but not sure how much I would like to have to keep relighting. Even when I combusted I never used a bong, bowl, dugout, ect. on a regular basis. I was pretty much doob only.

I am also not sure how much I would dig the hint of wood taste.

However both of these things have me intrigued and returning to this thread!

I would LOVE to try it but it's not in the cards for now. :(
