Love the looks of it. I wonder if it wouldn't benefit from a thin o-ring on the nub/vapor path that connects it in the middle.

If I wasn't 100% happy with my current vaporizer and/or my wife wouldn't kill me for starting a vaporizer collection I would get this without a second thought. This device at that price is so amazing. Wood, magnets, glass... so damn pretty.

I do plan to make a case for Daisy.

But I really want it to be very well thought out and designed to be awesome.

Since I don't have much experience with vaporizer transportation do you guys have any design ideas or input into what would make a really cool/useful/convenient case or box?

Daisy arrived today...DAISY ARRIVED TODAY!!!! Elegant, Efficient Daisy.

So easy, a newbie can use like a pro. So simple, your friends that have never vaped will recognize the familiar form and how to use it. My wife was a one draw expert.

After many great portables, that all have their own special qualities, Daisy is a treat. Did I say what amazing clouds she produces and how little material she does it with?!

Tommy, many, many thanks for such a wonderful product. I will post more soon, but i hear Daisy calling for me.

What I would really dig myself is a bag that has lots of padding, with pockets for the glass and maybe the torch. Sort of like the SSV carrying bag actually.

This, is the tiny metal cylinder "connecting" the larger block to the herb chamber block which is currently stuck in the herb block. Somehow, it got pressed in there. I presume it was sticking out of the herb block, and got pressed in during quick Daisy reassembly.

It was really in there... I ended up having to use a small screwdriver to carefully dislodge it via the carb hole. No apparent harm done.. But just a word to the wise: always make sure that pin is securely in the larger mouthpiece block. You can press it in there pretty tight since, since unlike the herb block, it does not go fully in :)

Cheers.

Good day, Everybody.

A few things I need to mention:

The first thing is... man I love to wake and vake:), with my Daisy of course. I love just watching the colors and shading in the room and outside change. In a way it is so mentally nourishing for me and my http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circadian_rhythm, which I like to manipulate by waking up just a tad earlier than my body really wants to. I do that because I believe it makes my wake and vake sessions more. More what? I don't know, just more.

I'm a fan of boxes with foam inlay for pieces, such as pelican cases and such. It'd be awesome if you could make a wood case, especially considering the wood is probably the initial draw to this vape for most.

I have really been in box design mode lately. Thank you, by the way for the intro to Pelican stuff, that is one of those brands that I never heard of, but I am glad I learned about them.

It is definitely going to be a wooden box. I was thinking more along the lines of a small briefcase. Since Daisy is quite durable I do not think so much padding is necessary, unless she is taken on extreme vaporizing trips. I see a thin layer of padding foam then a layer of some silk or velvet? Too classy? I also want to have spaces in it for all essentials: herb, grinder, torch, tools, etc. But my biggest design challenge is to make it kind of cool and gadgetry-ish. Secret compartments? Secret way to open?

Thank you for the post and the great advice for everybody.

Sorry for the inconvenience. That has happened to myself before.

You can use the tweezers as well to push it through from the carb hole (the grabbing end).

The possibility of that even being able to happen is quite intentional. If you notice that same connector pin can only be pushed in so far into the mouthpiece hole, then it feels like it is held in firmly. That is the recommended placement. But we decided not to make it permanently in the mouth piece, or any piece, so that it can be removed for cleaning. All these little design features, and there are more, were implemented from years of trial and error and rigorous testing:razz:. It really is a complex art to make things seem simple, as you can see from the reviews Daisy has receive so far:peace:, which leads me to mention a few more things:

I know this might sound silly for me to say, but I would like to mention that all the reviews and customers posted on this thread about Daisy are 100% ORGANIC. I know. I know. It is silly, but I had to.

It has almost been a month now since we have started this Daisy thread/launch and we feel pretty confident about taking our baby to the next step by approaching headshops, dispensaries, and etc.
Denver her we come?

And lastly, even though FC members and guests who find this http://triihouse.com/vip.html will always receive a 10% discount, we have secretly had that discount at 20%, which we will end at the end of the month, Sunday, August 31st.

Thanks, Everybody.

How about a small, matching wooden box that holds the glass pieces inside and has magnets to attach it to the other wood pieces? The main body needs no protection, and if the glass is out of sight, I doubt anyone will question what it is.

Maybe you could have it open up to serve as a display case when not in transit, kinda similar to the frame of the attached picture.

1 week anniversary with Daisy! She has been a favorite of everyone that has tried her. Combusters (is that even a word?) have started to see the way, using Daisy. She has become an instant go to, instant delivery device.

So much I could say, but, I will only say "Try it, you'll like it".

Those of you that have used both, how would you compare this to the Lotus for a fire powered vape? Obviously the Lotus is a bit more portable, but which would get more use in your house and why? Just curious. I recently bought a Vaporgenie, my first fire powered vape and I really like it. I'm a little nervous of the zero resistance draw path on the Daisy, I like a little tighter pull. I have mild COPD and it can be hard to take big, huge draws with the reduced lung capacity.

Here you go from the page before this.

I see You.

Performance

Both are convection clean tasting vapes. Daisy has a hint of background wood taste.

the daisy is a direct butane inhalation vape.i.e there are no plates to heat up to conduct heat like the lotus. You draw the heat from the lighter directly into the bowl below. It hits much quicker because of this.3 seconds to thick vapor with daisy

Vapor from Daisy is cooler than the lotus owing to the longer air path.

Portability
Lotus is much better for out and about.

Daisy feels like a wireless desktop.

Beauty and looks

daisy is beautiful walnut wood.

Downsides of Daisy
Daisy is not really needed if You already own a lotus.

Daisy can't be used directly through water unless You rig up some tubing.

Wrap up

Like most vapes in you're collection, each unit creates a unique experience.the experience of using daisy and the performance is where the she shines.
I wish I could help You more but it's down to personal choice.

I still use my lotus but I find vapor smoother with daisy. I've become quite attached to the daisy routine. I hit my vapes mostly dry though anyway, using water at weekends or changeout.it depends what You are looking for.

Best of luck, maybe a little bit of VAS going on:cheers:

I think you will get used to the open draw pretty quickly, It actually takes less lung power once you get the speed of the draw down.

Awesome, don't know how I missed that, thank you.

Daisy just leaped frogged the Lotus for my next vape purchase. I like that there is no heat exchanger to have to warm. Sometimes with my Vaporgenie I have to draw twice before I get that heat exchanger up to temp.

Have you guys acidentally combusted any of your herb in the Daisy?

RUDE BOY

I've not charred or combusted yet. I think As long as you keep the flame close to what's advised you would really have to push the limits to turn your herb black and really stretch it to make it cherry up and smoke.

Everyone I've shared with gets it pretty well down near perfect in one or two hits.

Vegas haze

but my momma said
I actually combusted twice last night. The first time was because it had been a while since I cleaned the screen, I pulled it out and it was about %99 clogged, this thing requires very little maintenence so it's easy to forget, at least that's what I'm claiming. The second time was me getting to greedy and trying to get to big of a hit while also having the flame to big.
