I'm not about to put the wood mouthpiece back on my Daisy. I much prefer her naked. I have been thinking for a while to get a blower to make a longer neck though. The thought of breaking the glass and not being to replace it will motivate me to get my butt into gear.
What I want is a boomerang-like piece with both ends the same length and long enough so that when inserted it can be spun around in the body and still clear the intake stem. This will give me a better viewing angle and allow me to hold the Daisy out from body a bit. In addition, I will be able to pack it up into a padded bag in one piece by spinning the neck 180deg to protect the intake.
The only problem will be the balance of the device. I may have to rotate the neck to have it sit on a table. Eventually I would like to get a replacement made for the rear piece of wood. My Daisy is one of the newer more curvy ones. Even with the normal mouthpiece I feel that the rear bottom corner would have been better left square.
@seaofgreens, the screen diameter is 5/8. Not sure about a source though. You'll want fine mesh. I fairly rip the air through my Daisy and even with. The fine screens that come with it, I still get some bits come through. They never get to my mouth though, unless I've just cleaned both wood and glass.
I sure hope Tommy is back on board soon. If his business completely falls through, I'm sure one of us Triihouse lovers will get them made somewhere else and pay a commission to Tommy. Frankly, I'm surprised that the Chinese haven't latched on to these devices and reverse engineered them. I suppose there is only a cult following compared to the main players among portable vapes but the world will catch on in time. I love my Daisy! It is simple genius.
I would love to have Ed make me a Blackwood or Zebrawood Daisy with Tommy's permission.
