I own the DBV and SSV.. and have both with both setups.
While the "ergonomics" of the SSV was definitely worth paying more for (for those preferring standard hand held setup), I have found that when you go hands free it no longer matters, as the air flow dynamics change with a hands free heater cover, and seem to neutralize any difference in performance due to the SSV downward angle.

so for someone like myself who prefers the hands free set up you'd say stick with the DBV if you already have one?
Wouldn't mind spending the money elsewhere I suppose

To be perfectly honest I think so. If you are going to stay hands free...
and you have no issue with the direct 90 angle of the DBV, then the change would only be for your personal taste or to collect 7th Floor vapes (a worthy hobby let me tell you!)
You can get great DBV stuff too...wands, glycerin cooling systems and water tools... and really beautiful items. DBV accessories

You can't keep a good thread down. With all of the recommendations people get for a DBV as a 1st vape...
The thread breathes anew all of the time.

Hey do you know if the character picks that you can buy from them have a sharp pointed tip? I can see in the picture that the marble ones do, but they do not show the end of the character pick ones?

nevermind. I just ordered some new screens a marble pick and a new mushroom pick. To replace the flat ended one that I get from a local headshop. I'll probably find a way to sand that to a sharp point eventually though. Was going to get the water pipe attachment but I don't have a bong to attach it to. So I'll get a bong and then go from there.

Also. Is this the one that came with your Da Buddha or one that you ordered after the fact? I really hope it has a nice sharp point to it. Otherwise I ordered it for nothing as I already have a nice pick but with a blunt edge to it.

VapeNStone: that pick can be easily sharped by just grinding it on a sidewalk if you don't have any tools at hand. And if you get a bong with 14.4mm joint you won't even need a waterpipe adapter. The tubing fits in those joints perfectly without any accesories.

I use an emory board to sharpen picks.. but any pick you get from 7th Floor will be almost TOO sharp!

Help! The wand is stuck in the heater. I dabbed some water around the wand end (It makes a tighter seal) But its too tight. I can't get it out... any suggestions?

Get ready a washcloth damp with cool water. Not wet.. just slightly damp.
turn the DBV to the very top setting, then wait about a minute.
Use the washcloth around the wand, now to keep it cool.
Hold the wand with the washcloth for another 30 seconds, while the heat is still up high.
now remove washcloth, and twist firmly and slowly as you back it out.

(heat expands.. cool contracts)

Hey guys

Im new to the forum and I am sure this has been asked before but I just want to know -

I already have a DBV which I love, great hits and a solid build.
I have heard recently that the exhaled vapor is a wastage and with the smaller vapes it is possible to not exhale anything and hence this would waste less.

I am all about conservation of weed as where I am from, it is hard to come by.

I have recently purchased the MFLB which i hope will eventually lead to the MF being my sole vape, and the DBV can be sold

What are your thoghts on this

Don't do it. You should save the DBV for a backup, and for the times you do want to vape with others.
The DBV is a perfect Vape to keep as insurance for the day other vapes don't work!
