@Vitolo So you use the spherical glass or the standard HC for the SSV?

I ask because I am looking into getting a spherical HC and wand, and was wondering how well it works in comparison to the standard GG DBV connection(Opinion from someone who owns both SSV and DBV).

I have all 3 configurations.
I like Standard HC and hand held wand best.
Spherical is nice, but I prefer the more restricted area below the screen on Hand Held wand, and the pinhole aim of the standard.
Spherical has a much more open hole for both HC and wand.

The lsv is my next vape. @Jahannum you'd basically be getting the same vape with a different looking body. The lsv offers a glass pathway with no tubing and is perfect for pairing with water pipes if youre into that :2c:

The ssv is an awesome vape though.

@Jahannum moving on so quickly? I might get the lsv once i get the change saved ;)

Gift for someone in the same house, just lazily said "my" in an earlier post.

For myself I have been thinking about the VXH Evo, and am ordering a MFLB when I order the SSV.

edit: And nah I am not moving on, I love my DBV, very much so. Just want to add a little variety to my new lifestyle.:D

Was rocking my da vinci til it blew up tonight :/ now im buying one out of classifieds and hopefully a pnp soon.

But i have ZERO complaints about my da Buddha, except maybe an an glass path into my water hence the lsv. Maybe an EQ too. They're priced to sell at 150 through vapornations price match..

Here's a lengthy write up of my experience with Da Buddha so far.... I sold my Solo for this DBV.

I walked in a local head shop and they had a Da Buddha on a shelf.. It was 220$ and I was able to show prices of Da Buddha online and told them that I would prefer to support my LHS but couldn't justify paying the price tag slapped on the Da Buddha. I was able to get it down to 143$ (154$ after taxes) I went ahead and got it. Got home, went through my hemp bag.. Lo and Behold! There was an oil wand in there too! So I figured I got a hell of a deal.

I assembled it, pushed down the heating cover, grinded up flowers and loaded the wand up... I was struggling with the temperatures and getting vapor. I was getting no or thin vapor even after letting the DBV heat up on max for a bit. I was frustrated and put it away.. Went online and read this thread on DBV and I found one post talking about the heating element falling down and having to pull it back up. I instantly went to DBV.. AHA! The heating element fell too far down so I pulled it back up... Heated it up on max again and my friend who wanted to try it showed up and we was able to have two of the best tasting vapors, vapor clouds, and we had maybe 40 minute sesh off 2 bowls (the wand was around 1/3 to 1/2 filled)

I'm impressed.. I have owned MFLB, Pax, Solo, Volcano, and Cloud+... This is a VERY SOLID vaporizer. I am still struggling with the drawing speed to start up the bowl when I insert the wand into DBV and to keep it constant.. using by myself- I am able to keep my vapor flowing until the bowl is spent.. I vaped with a different friend and he kept killing the bowl with his bad drawing techniques. When he started to pick the technique up, we was able to use it efficiently.

So far, to vape by myself, it wrecks me pretty good off not much... I really like the flexibility of the amount I have to use but I am still figuring out how to use it with friends..

I need to practice more with it to master it and that comes at the expense of flowers.. I hope to nail down the learning curve with it so I can go back to being more efficient with my flowers. I will start messing with aromatherapy when I get the glass top and waxes/oils to see how well it does bringing aroma to my living room, etc..

The DBV feels pretty fucking solid IMO, the glass seems to have good quality- My friend pulled out the wand and it went straight to a cement floor and didn't break or anything like that, gave me a scare- When I lock the handsfree in the GONG connector, it usually stays there like a rock. I am already using it tilted like the SSV.. I am thinking of maybe trying to find something or make custom base to replace the current base so it would be tilted permanently. My birthday is coming up, I am already asking for a custom glass knob to replace my current dial...

I sold my solo... I am gambling on the Grasshopper to fill in my ultraportable/portable needs. If it comes through as a convection pen.. If not then I will hold back for something that is very portable. DBV is going to be my whip vape that stays at home ready to use when I need it. After the grasshopper, I might get another desktop but as of now, DBV is going to be my daily driver.

Would I recommend this to others? Yes. It is one of few vaporizers out there that is nearly pure- just glass/ceramic/air, no metals or anything like that. I am a convection boy, I will avoid all conduction vapes. For the price and the versaility of handling herbs, oils, and aromatherapy. I don't even foresee much cleaning with this unit except for replacing hoses or maybe occasional scraping of the wand.

I still have a question.. When the DBV is done heating up, I usually turn it back to around 12-2 o clock on the dial, I would insert the wand, do I leave it there for a while to let it heat up or do I hit it instantly? Sometimes I get vapor instantly and sometimes I do not at all... I am still trying to figure out how to start vaping but when I get it going- it's not even a problem for me until it is spent.

@ludwig you mentioned you had a cloud... are you talking the cloud desktop model or the cloud pen?? if you are talking about the cloud desktop.... how does your DBV compare to the cloud?? i habe owned a DBV for 4+ years now and i have loved it from day one. Years later the "cloud" is supposed to make all other vapes pale in comparison. so now that a cloud has show itself on ebay for super cheap i am thinking about buying but still cannot see how its better than my DBV which i get HUGE dense clouds from and huge hits!!

can you make a comparison??

Vapexhale Cloud+... I did give the Cloud+ a good run- It produced a lot of vapor for me and it did really work on me but IMO Cloud is better suited with water filtration than it is dry. I personally prefer dry- I did use a hydratube then I switched it up to a mouthpiece, there was resistance because of the bamboo. Like a giant Arizer Solo but MUCH less resistance? With DBV, I will have to need to test it more but when I take a draw, I feel pretty much effortless. I did get pretty good clouds but I have not mastered it to get the dense hits like you are talking about.

To me, Cloud felt clunky and I had to be extra cautious using it especially passing it around with my friends. For me that was a buzz kill. With DBV, I can just pass the whip (making sure the wand is locked in place!)- more "relaxing" for me.

ELBs are real nice, I did wonder if ELBs could go in the DBV Wand? But I think DBV's size is smaller than Cloud's? Maybe custom ELBs for DBV could work? Wishful thinking... For learning curve, @VapeNStone is correct, the learning curve on cloud is much simpler than DBV.... but you can control DBV more than you can control Cloud I think?

I have not tried Cloud Evo, just read about it here along with videos/pictures, it looks like its turning into a serious beast so I can't really say anything about that. I would love to try and review a Cloud Evo but the pricetag is too hefty for me... Maybe it could become a part of my collection if I save up someday or an used one when it pops up in the Classifieds.

One more question about DBV, how do you start vaping with it? Just plug the wand in and start drawing or? I'm trying to figure this one out...

the recommend way is to fill the wand no more than a third full and find a happy medium between your draw speed and the temperature. the faster or harder you draw, the higher the temp setting has to be. if you are like me and pull semi softly (there are people that pull even softer than me), then the temp is lowered. i set mine at the 1:00 position for my draw speed. i can do 12:00 too but i find thicker denser hits at 1:00 and still do not combust.

it takes ALOT of experimenting and i have been doing it 4+ years. most people will not agree with this advise but to find my sweet spot i kept playing with higher and higher temps and different draw speeds till i did combust. once i achieved combustion i knew my limits and dialed back from there.

Well i agree with the above post, i do know that some dials are different than others. My brother just recently bought after all the videos i sent him of mine. He realized it was that expensive and is in love. But his 3clock is my 12clock. So there's some differences, just gotta find your own sweet spot

And i ALWAYS insert my wand and draw simultaneously, remove wand once im down with my draw. Clearing the tube of vapor of course.

I always start off by turning my DBV on all the way, then I begin to prep the flowers and wand. When I am done grinding and just loaded some flowers into the wand, I turn down the DBV to around 2-3 o'clock, then I use the awesome marble pick from 7th floor to pack down the flowers against the screen in the wand.

Like KidFated. I inhale as soon as I insert the wand and inhale at a steady pace. I then remove the wand while still inhaling to clear the whip and inhale a little oxygen to hold my breath for a minute. While holding my breath, I use that marvelous pick to stir and pack back down the wand. I find I get the most hits, and waste less vapor this way.

What I really like about the DBV is how diverse yet simple a vaporizer it is(Lots of different techniques/temps/drawspeeds) all at the turn of a knob.

My limited experience had me turning knob to about 2 o'clock to warm up. Afer a few minutes, down to 12. Insert wand and hit lightly to heat herb to keep it in place. Let wand heat up for a minute. Draw slow. After vapor production dies off, stir and increase temp to 2. Finish off.

*I only used DBV about 10-15 times.

Just had a lil idea could we not use a 18-18mm 45 degree adapter to stop blow backs
