Do you guys use tap or bottled water in you pieces?

I usually use tap water that has run through a carbon filter (Brita pitcher), since my local tapwater has a sweet-milky taste to it that I am not very fond of.

Nice bubbler, how is it pappy? I was considering that piece(saw what I believe to be a BW black and white version of that bub) not long ago
One of my favorite pipes but now all my pipes are my favorites! :ko: Already posted this but it reminded me of what it used to be like to hit a vape without glass. It uses hardly any water but it perks and clears with the best of them. Since I got it I reduced the water levels I'm using in Swanee and my SSFG beaker. I'm such a chug-head!

^^^Very cool vid! Starting to think I need an inline in my collection after watching that :brow:
Curious as to how much water you're using now with the stemline? I've also dropped the water
levels down a bit cause the supreme and pd have restricted air flow, need me my VXC!

The VG's treating me pretty good  Got to take a few rips on New Years eve and got a little messed
and forgot to make some vids :ko: Hopefully tonite after the little guy goes to bed and I watch
the fights I missed, i do up a video for ya'll.. I'm leaning towards the circ right now for my choice
of the 2 downstems but more testing is needed :D

Going an inch or less above the Stemline now. Was going as much as two. This piece, and Glasstafarian's, both demand exacting water levels. Since using them I discovered lowering water levels can reduce bong scum thereby delivering more THC.

The SG and SSFG are far more forgiving tubes. But just because you can blow bubbles doesn't necessarily mean you should! :2c:

^^^^Another nice pic, what type of camera are you using? I been stuck
using a Nikon point and shoot, even for video  and I'm completely useless
when it comes to photography...

I'm going about 3/4's of a inch to 1 inch above the stemline now, but was
using more, some times its nice to chug ;)

I have actually been using a bit more water in my pieces, since Im sticking to smaller tubes now I sometimes need a bit of extra drag.

anyway thanks for the thoughts pappy, Im still considering that piece(not sure if the black and white BW version is still available at my LHS but that doesnt effect function :p

I end up using tap water because I prefer hot water, unfortunately, but soon I will get a system of being able to easily use filtered hot water.

That pic was taken with a iPhone 4 believe it or not. The vids too. Great camera! The earlier closeups of BW and Lebowski were taken on a Canon T1i DLSR.

@ NYC > I know the piece your talking about and it's beautiful! They're a little different. I don't believe the bubbler has a reinforce inline.

Im cool with that, I have never broken a big piece(big piece being anything thats not like a downstem or slide or adapter) since the first time I broke a glass bong(which was my very first, it was probably locally made) so I dont worry a lot about mishaps with those.
Yes I did like that piece and I could have gotten a good deal on it, I just have a thing about clear glass, I like to be able to see all the action, not to say that I would ever be hesitant if I saw a worked piece that I fell in love with. I have a hard enough time deciding as it is! :o

^ I don't think it'd effect stability. Just pointing out a difference. I like clear too but am developing an appreciation for colored sections and work. FWIW the Wilson's use Chinese tubing on the B&W pieces.

Been drooling over these new acquisitions :p

After those recent pics and videos I really can't wait to get my VG circ, won't be big or interchangeable but it looks like his circs. are hard to beat. I've only hit a gridded circ. so I"m looking forward to his piece which I expect will just be clean slits.
I love how the water makes it look like the circ. is almost touching the tube, I imagine its pretty damn close clearance by the looks of it.

Bought a peashooter from a generous friend the other day and am loving the change of pace. I've never capitalized on the sunlight in my place when making a video before, today I just put the piece in the right light and the results are pretty cool (I didn't realize but the PD is casting a shadow, or blocking the direct light on the middle section of the glass which makes for a cool effect). Usually wouldn't exhale so quickly but it was the second video and earlier than I usually start :D

Loving the small bore, EonBlue I know you like yours as well  Very nice with the PD.

Haha, Pinoy I don't have kids to worry about only a girlfriend to win over

Thanks guys, been enjoying it a bunch. Never really thought about an ashcatcher until now, really thinking about something small on top of this. Pappy I know the inlines are different (yours is awesome btw, love the size and inline itself) but I agree that its pretty amazing how little water this piece takes, as little drag as I could imagine. I like a little more water though TBH adding a little chug.

Looking forward to more pics and vids of those new pieces, how bout a gauntlet from both Jimbo and Pappy? :D

The B Wilson has plenty of chug and sounds like a Stemline when it clears, a testament to the quality of its glass and craftsmanship. There's only one logical water level. Too little and it doesn't perk and too much it splashes.

How tall is that peashooter? Really rips!

Its around 20" tall with a very small bore. My GF says she would love the tube a tiny shorter (but loves the bore) but I think its perfect. The small bore and nature of the inline (easy to pull air through from my perspective) really facilitates vaporizing, i.e. very little lung-power needed to both pull vapor in and clear.

Cool to hear you're enjoying the B. Wilson, looks like an absolutely awesome piece of glass! Workmanship appears very clean, also the inline itself looks great.

Happy vaporbonging and vaporbubbling to all :brow:

Thanks. If I had only one bong to use it'd have to be BW. It's a real "mini" tube! Don't get me wrong, I adore Swanee and Glasstafarian, but BW is easiest to use and the most mobile.

Very interesting. So, just to clarify, your preference for the Wilson inline is its 'ease of use' and approachable size? Sounds like the perfect daily driver to me! ;)

EDIT: Pappy, now that you've tried several types of percolation, do you have anything to say about their distinctions? I'm sure its a little harder to experience the glasstafarian circ. since there's an added chamber on the front. Which requires the least effort, i.e. lung power? (I'd guess the inline?)
Any notes on the preservation of flavor? Smoothness of hit?
I'm sure they all clear at varying speeds...I used to think of a lightning fast clear as the best methodology, recently (really from experimenting with beaded diffusion) I've abandoned that ideology. As much fun as it is to have the vapor hit shotgunned via fast clear, I noticed a slower, softer clear is enjoyable in a much different way (may come down to a question of preservation of flavor?).

Just posing some questions, anybody feel free to answer, always fun to talk about the seemingly indescribable :p

I have no daily driver which is what I set out to accomplish. All my pipes are in rotation (including the SSFG beaker - only less so). Each are unique but they have two things in common. They clear instantly and perk like crazy.

The Stemline is most adaptable, a bubble monster! The Natty Splash guard separates the pipe into two chambers, the can and the tube (if you can even call it that). Think of flushing an airplane toilet @ 40,000 feet and that's Swanee. It has a 60mm can and Lebowski had a 50mm. I prefer bigger cans and more reduction. That said both SGs taste very similar -- even with the 12 Arm tree. Vaping on Lebowski was easy enough but it's designed for smokers.

Glasstafarian's piece draws especially easy for a two chamber and perks like a big boy. Very well balanced! The bong mouth is comfy and the pipe retains more flavor than any other. Also very mobile considering it has a diffy. Tried it without diffy and it worked but didn't perk as well. The reversal work is gorgeous and happens to be my initials.

The BW is a masterpiece of design. I've been studying its lineage to earlier L Wilsons. It honestly creates the illusion of smoking a large tube. He really knew what he was doing! The perk, echo, and feel of it is crazy. The thick glass on such miniature piece gives it a very special feel. It filters the least but is extremely smooth.

Now don't get me started!
