I myself combusted for 10 years, then bought an Extreme Q thanks to help from this phorum. I had a nice double perc that a local blower made for me and had him make a piece to hook my Q up to my double perc. I cleaned the thing so that there is not a dot of resin on it but the tube no matter how much i clean it stays cloudy looking. Not the chamber down at the bottom but the tube above all the water. Is this from years of combusting through the thing or does vapor effect this also? I will never combust again and have been reading through every singe post trying to figure out which bubbler i need for my Q. Thanks to allOuch! If u combust how can u claim to be all about taste? Maybe we just have different opinions of what taste is. So ure telling me that after u burn a bowl "and clean it right" u can draw through it with nothing in it and its tasteless? I somehow doubt this unless your method is one that nobody else knows about it. Maybe u just have a higher tolerance to the taste, I am super rediculous at keeping glass clean.
Edit: Damn auto correct
Your deposit layers of soil are probably a mix of hard water stains, resins, carbon, vapor residues etc. I would try a good hot soak with PBW. Here is a link to my thread to get you startedI cleaned the thing so that there is not a dot of resin on it but the tube no matter how much i clean it stays cloudy looking. Holy crap!
Does this count?
