OK, My apologies, just checked the reti bub...
It's reinforced too...
I just never noticed because you can't really feel it connecting to the bottom of the piece like I can with the Matrix...
That pic of the 2 Ions sums up the height difference perfectly.
mine have the same difference.
It's nothing you would notice in 2 separate pics, but it's noticeable once they're together.

(Within about an hour of my signing up for BoroMarket, Ive already got my eye on 2 pieces...:spidey:)

Ok, so I've had an urge to pick up a sovereignty piece ever since I got a sov 180 gridded downstem from alt.

Assuming the deal goes through, I just picked myself up a Sovereignty King Stemline (Upgrid) (with a horizontal sovereignty label, which is apparently rarer)

 :mmmm:

I also picked up an EFS bent neck upgrid donut with some cool sandblasting artwork on it.

Boromarket is the shit

I'm just curious, for those with more experience than me with higher end glass, how much should each of these pieces be worth?
I'm happy with what I paid, but I'm curious to see how I went.

@Frederick McGuire Nice Mobys! I have the same set up (a reti and a matrix bub) but in the Ion size. I noticed a couple of things that you mentioned which I'd been wondering about myself. You said that your Matrix bubbler is a little bit shorter than the Reti. The same is true about my Ion bubblers, the Reti is a little larger. I took a picture today that shows exactly what I'm talking about:

I am saving every bit of spare bit of change, I can lay my hands on... to buy that Ion Reti (or maybe the Matrix. hehehe). Simple, yet pure beauty. A perfect blend of function/form.

@stickstones Yeah sorry dude I should have explained that a little better. ili is right that was smoke...and that wasn't even my video. sessnet had just mentioned something about the size difference of a "regular" Mobius bubbler vs. a Mobius Ion, and I remembered seeing this video of the two different sizes side by side so thought I'd post that up for reference. That being said, they DO milk up beautifully with vapor. I really love the small size of the Ions for vapor as it's super easy to white wall these pieces yet you're still not wasting a shit tonne of vapor because the volume is pretty small on the Ions anyway :2c:

@Frederick McGuire that's good to hear about the reinforcements! You had me worried about the quality control at Mobius Glassworks for a moment :-P Also nice pickup on the King Stem. BM is deadly, no? Anyway, love those upgrids! EFS is quality shit too. Dunno about pricing on the stemline but it should be pretty easy to figure out the pricing of the EFS piece...everything starts as a custom built piece with EFS and the prices for their different build options are listed in their main thread, so you should be able to figure it out based on what options your piece actually has (donut, single gridding, blasting, etc).

@BigDaddyVapor Yeah they are not cheap, but I will say I have no real complaints so far. I guess the only question you have to ask yourself is do you want your perc to glug or purr? I couldn't decide between the Reti or the Matrix so I had to grab them both, but they are both great percs in their own ways. My personal preference for vapor is less diffusion so I use the Reti, but I use the Matrix for oils as I find oil (no matter how good the quality) to be a little too harsh for my liking. To each their own of course. Good luck with your purchase but it seems that there is no shortage of people these days who will tell you that Mobius is no a chump, this is good quality glass and the functionality is absolutely top shelf. Worth saving your change for!

Haha, yeah, I basically just signed up because I had my heart set on a sov piece, and I saw quite a few floating around there, so I figured signing up would be worth it even if the sov was the only piece I picked up... (I've drooled over more pillars in the last day than I have in the last year )

Then I saw the EFS, and had to grab it (I had a look around on the other EFS threads, it looks like I nabbed a $450 piece for $250.) - I also just saw that pappy had an EFS custom thats similar to what I'm getting. His review leaves me with high hopes.
Its set to ship on 4/16 (it's from a 4/20 sale - I'd assume that's a wide enough window for US peeps to get their piece by 4/20, so I can't complain) so I won't see it for a while, but I can wait... I think I've got enough other piece to hold me over

To the glass aficionados: please excuse my ignorance. :) Y'all keep mentioning it, and I've been intrigued by, this mysterious (to non-members) "Boromarket". I'm not able to spend a lot of glass (no budget for such luxuries). Can one of y'all who are on BM answer something for me? I'm in the market for a sub-$100 glass piece (e.g., like in the "cheap, high quality bubbler" thread). On BM, do they even have smaller, non-worked, less-expensive pieces on there? Or is it only bigger/fancier/prettier/more-expensive stuff? And, is there some way to see what's on there without shelling out $50? I've seen the occasional mention of a sponsor or recommender or something like that, but I can't seem to figure out what that process is.
Also, I've looked at my LHS, but haven't yet found anything quite right. Would y'all recommend I try to find a local blower to make something small and inexpensive? Any info or advice appreciated.

Boromarket.com
I found out about it on a thread here at fc somewhere (it could've even been this thread )
It's basically a forum for buying and selling glass.
You can sign up for free, but that doesn't really get you anywhere. You can view thread titles, but not contents.
For $50, you can subscribe to their forums, And view thread contents, but you still can't sell until you meet other criteria I can't remember ATM.

There is some system where existing members can refer new members so that they don't have to pay the $50 fee. At first I wasn't thrilled about having to pay just to be able to buy, but I've already saved closeto the $200 mark on 1 piece.
It has already paid for itself 4 times over.

Can you get a nice <$100 piece there? Yes (I actually saw a quite nice little Bub with an included dome for about $70)
Is it where you should be looking? Probably not. (most pieces in there seem to e >$300 from what I've seen)
A lot of the stuff there is out of my price range. (I just saw a thread where a very nice worked sov/n8 collab pillar that went for 4.5k )

Thanks for the great info/insight FM! I was guessing that maybe it was the case that most of the stuff on there is a big chunk pricier than I can afford.

But if someone has an extra BM referral sitting around that they want to send my way so that I can drool over the glass porn, I sure wouldn't turn it down...

Haha, theres some pretty amazing stuff floating around on there.

I've never been the biggest fan of worked pieces (Nice clear"scientific" glass, maybe with some sandblasting has always been my preference), but I've seen some pieces that made me :mmmm: (Like a Worked Sovereignty Collab recycler with matching dome, dabber & dish... but it was starting at $1,950...)

You get a far greater appreciation of the Art aspect once you start looking at high-end glass.

Also, I've also posted this in the Gn0me thread, but heres a quick vid of my Matrix Bub with my GonGn0me.

Frederick, you're definitely developing something. I don't want to say "problem", not sure just now what the term is... but a "problem of pappy proportions" sounds good ;). Quite the collection. That boro sub was fatal. My money is on you having picked up one of those crazy priced worked art pieces within the next few months! :D

Haha, I can't see myself going that far just yet... (although it is nice how well high end glass seems to retain its value)
I'm actually unemployed right now, living off my savings, so a $2k piece is definitely not gonna happen until I have a steady income

I'm thinking of selling off a few of my cheaper pieces soon...
I almost never use my nautilus inline, or my black leaf beaker w/6-arm tree

And my Rx industries beaker has been my go to piece for quite a while, but I've also got the SYN mini beaker.

Before I sell any of them, I'm planning on doing a big photo/video shoot, for all of my pieces.

Look forward to that massive post in the future

Also, completely off topic, but it was around this time last year I first discovered vapeing.
So aside from the agung cyclone, all of my vapes/glass has been collected over the course of 1 year...
Not bad, eh?

Edit:
Heres a pic from BM of the Sov piece I picked up:

I channeled my inner MacGyver tonight, and my Agung Cyclone now has its own custom EHLE D/S.

Heres how it looks in the cyclone:

And here are 2 of "the Others":
A stemless piece I got when all I knew about quality glass was

It's made out of very thin glass. I'd sell it, but I doubt it would make it through the post...
Sorry it's dirty, its one of the pieces I let my friends combust in.
And finally, a grommetted piece that one of my friends dubbed the cock

(it's another one my friends combust in.)

Very nice vid.
Was that a LW 15-arm along with the matrix?
Because I have what looks like the exact same one.

I tend to prefer bubblers too.
Since I mostly vape sitting on a couch, not standing next to a coffee table

Great video!
I have never seen that vape before but it looks interesting for sure! I like what looks to be all glass, and the method of torch heating.

I also prefer bubblers. but i have a mini tube that is short with a nice bent neck almost like the one on the piece in the video ^ so it works that way :p

Nycdeisel,

OhTheAgony

here for the chicks
I found out I can even use my 250ml Ehle when laying down if I have to, when my back gave out, lol. But I'd love to prefer bubblers as well, never even had the chance to try one yet unfortunately.

I can't believe you've never seen the Gnome before NYC-D. You should check it out as well as the Vapocane, I haven't used a Gnome myself yet but I absolutely love these kind of vapes. There's a link to the Vapocane thread in my signature, and here's the Gnome thread.

So forgive me if I'm a bit... um... Overly medicated right now, but here's a sneak peek of what to expect:

Love the bubbler gauntlet FMcG! You're kind of making me regret buying the Ion sized bubs: I love the volume, perc size etc. but the bell bottom bubblers are just so sexy  Really though, great family shot. If possible I like to have a "foot" on my pieces for stability (and because it decreases the interior volume of the tube/can, usually) but I DO totally dig the way those bubblers look. So clean and elegant. I want that clear LW 15 arm bub...so do want! I had a dewarr LW 15 arm bub just like that and I loved it. I got rid of it because it had a logo that I didn't like...if I could find a clear one like that I'd scoop it up in a heartbeat. I'm a big fan of that bubbler...great level of diffusion for thick vapor IMO. Maybe still a little heavy for me but I think I like my vapor almost too raw for most. Well, for most of us who vape and water condition our vapor I mean.

Shit...it is a good thing I am seriously flat broke. I have been itching to buy some new glass lately and there's been a few pieces on BM I've been eyeing over the last couple of weeks...then you've got 4/20 sales coming up...yeesh. I'm actually kind of lucky I'm broke, otherwise I'd be broke all over again, have more glass and no bill money. Methinks the wifey would not love that so much :p O willpower, willpower! Wherefore art thou willpower?

EDIT: BTW, FMcG, you should let us know what you think of that EFS you're getting once you've received it. I know that personally I would be very interested to see a video or a little review. I have not heard anything bad about EFS but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be nice to get yet another opinion. I'm seriously considering an EFS custom for my next piece. His work is completely sick and totally on point from what I've seen!
