This piece won't be quite as tall as the egg, but it will be about the same general size and heft. That's why I'll ask Jane to list it as FC-RATTLECAN. It isn't mini in size, and I don't want people to be misled.
The joint is lower than both the eggs and the FC-710, and is counter weighted by the neck and mouthpiece. So although this piece has roughly the same mass as those pieces, it will be more stable.
That said, I've never had stability issues with an egg. I keep one on my workbench with a hot e-nail on a dropdown, going all day every day.
And again, the RATTLECAN should actually have less dry volume than the FC-710.
If the designs, ideas, or sentiments I shared in this thread are displeasing or uninteresting to you, I apologize. I only aim to make valuable contributions to the community here.
I understand your comment was not meant in earnest, but know that I am well aware of the demands this project has had on my time and energy. I am not doing this for the glass manufacturer, I'm doing this for myself and for glass users in general. If there is something in particular I have done to offend, please let me know.

Such a great time to be a Chinese glass blower.....all of this free R&D saves them loads of money in nonfunctional designs.
