Sweet I'll look you up on IG. I completely missed everything you posted about it lol
I was looking into dry ice when I was researching screens for dry sift. I can get it at a grocery store so it is readily available for me.
A lot of people were saying it was garbage. But then a few would say they love it.
Have you tried making dry ice hash before? Did you like it? How was taste?
Hey brother, I have made dry ice hash a number of times. The thing about it is that unless you are absolutely deft in your shaking technique and do not over-agitate the material (it is so, so easy to overagitate the material hence why many think it is a sucky tek). I made some super melty stuff that was very nice and tasted great, however it didn't squish anywhere near as well as bubble hash.
Basically, bubble > sifts IME as the residual moisture really facilitates the squish and increases yields. Lower quality bubble squishes great still, whereas lower quality dry sift is a PITA to squish by comparison.
Can't wait to finally get off my ass and get a vise and get some plates organized, I just hope I can get in before the holidays lol
I did some squishes a week or two ago with the tiniest little shitty vise/vice/weiss you could ever imagine and my usual flat iron. Got ALL of the goods out of my material in one single squish! 21% yield! However this vice lifted the material as it tightened, a common issue in cheaper vises AFAIK. Can't wait to get a proper setup with some help from my man @Joel W.
