Can't edit my last post, but I wanted to share with everyone one of my latest prototypes.....

After over a year since we started working on it, I'm finally holding a 4-way Scoop-Poke-Scrape-Tamp tool!

tYvRNdC.jpg

Unfortunately this sucker is just too damn small! Without the knurled grips I had a tough time handing this little guy!

So I'm extending the posts a bit more and increased the center for more grip. But I'm still debating about adding some sort of texture to the posts for grip.

Looking for some suggestions before I order the next prototype later today/tomorrow.
Here's a crazy suggestion...

Is there a way to change your 4 way to look like a 2 way (if you drop the scraper). Can you change the tamper to a poker and make a tamper sleeve that slides over the poker? Maybe the tamper sleeve could screw on? Hope that's a clear description...

Sure anything is possible (although printing small threads bit of a PITA with this method of printing steel).

Also costs increase dramatically. Each item costs $10 + material, so even a tiny tamping tool addon basically doubles my printing costs. It's easier to keep it as a 4-way tool and print it all in one piece.

My biggest challenge is the scoop - because of it's thin walls and size, my orders are constantly rejected by the printers because they're "too small" for the printer to accurately print. Even though I try to explain that shape is printable and they have printed it many times before (for my Scoop-N-Stir and Scoop-N-Poke tools), they still don't understand.

I'm also open to alternative suggestions for tool-bits.

Note this tamping tool is the perfect size - I've used on everything from an E-Nano stem to a VapeXhale ELB basket. It even fits in my Titanium Vapcap bowl!

Really excited to release this product.

Also note I will stock the stainless steel finish exclusively from now on. Anyone interested in Bronze or Yellow Gold finishes can email/PM me for a custom order.

What about offering all the tools single-sided with a ring on the opposite end, and then come up with some kind of solution to keep a few of them together? The customizable aspect of that seems pretty appealing.

I've got it working with my mighty but I do find I have to force it in significantly harder with the multi-purpose adapter compared to the 18mm mighty adapter you offer.

This is a little bit of a let down admittedly as it's not as seamless to use as I would of hoped. The issue is to get an air-tight seal I have to force it in very deep, and then when I want to clear the chamber I have to awkwardly play this twist and pull game to get it loose again, I've tried it in several different glass pipes now so I can confirm the issue isn't due to the glass piece itself.

EDIT : Ratchett made a quick response and is sorting this out in an extremely professional manner, props to him.

Hahaha damn you guys are fast. Indeed the cat's out of the bag. Aldo and I have been working on a threaded loading funnel for the JyARz Classic

IMG_7408__01350.1462995065.1280.1280.JPG

Additionally, I've published another battery cap size - this time for the Grasshopper Batteries

As always, plenty of other inventions in the pipeline, but feel free to keep those ideas coming! I love discussing the possibilities!

Hey @Ratchett! Can you confirm that the capped gh batteries still fit in your leather gh case? I'm guessing yes but just want to make sure. Thx!

Assuming you are only capping one side of the battery, yes they will fit in my case just fine. Note I don't suggest putting the cap side on the battery and then shoving that same end into the battery sleeve - that won't fit.

So I've only seen a few in my life, but none which are still being marketed. Would you @Ratchett make an adapter like your "mouthpiece to 18mm" adapter, but with a pair of orificies to plug two hoses in? So like a way to add hoses to a bong. I've wanted one for years and every time I catch wind of someone making something like it, they disappear forever.

I think I follow what you're saying - Although I must caution both holes would have to sit on the same side facing upwards, but what size hoses did you want? What size diameter fitting are you trying to plug?

Shouldn't be too hard to design.

In other news I am looking for a low-volume Liquid Silicone Rubber manufacturer (LSR) - if anyone has some suggestions for AMERICAN companies who might be interested in my business, please contact me - I have several inventions which I cannot manufacture myself, and hoping LSR is the answer to my problems.

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
I ordered a couple things from @Ratchett through his website and they came very quickly 3- 4 days to California. The best purchase was the 18-14mm reducer. It works great as a reducer but also works great as a wp adapter with the stock @underdog glass stem and the Arizer Solo stem. I imagine it would work with air stems as well!

Edit: @Ratchett you should make one these that tapers down further to fit 14mm female down stems. I'm sure a ton of people would buy for the Solo/Air

Edit #2: lol last edit I swear!!! I just tried it on 14mm female and if you squeeze it together and jam it in it fits and works well!!! This this a true do it all piece it works with 18 & 14mm male and female joints. I just tried it every which way with my gongs/bongs and it formed and air tight seal with every piece. I even have an old bong with a 14mm down stem that has needed a new seal between the glass and ds. I have tried all the different stuff from the lhs and nothing worked, until now!! I really wish I would've ordered a couple more of these things!!
Sorry to bring up old news, but I just got a silicone reducer recently and wish I would have seen your post earlier. This reducer is amazing, I also wish I ordered another one! I have a custom drop down in the works just so I can use this on my 14mm rigs. They definitely make it much safer and easier to manipulate your vape with less pressure on the glass joints. Pure genius and a severely underrated product, unless you've tried one, then you're in the know!

@Ratchett
Have you thought about making a 14-10 silicone reducer?

It'd be a lot cooler if you did... :spliff:

Evening All!

I'm still working on a bunch of new inventions, but I've got one recently published to my store I wanted to share - Introducing the Pax2 Scoop-N-Tamp tool!
IMG_7361__10346.1458772334.1280.1280.JPG

It's taken me months of multiple rejected orders before I finally arrived at this design which was approved! I'm currently taking preorders, expecting to begin shipping in two weeks.

I like this little tool... When I got my first Pax 1 and 2, I made a tamp tool out of wood (still use it). Yours is obviously way better, nice look, too!... the only thing I hate about having to use these things is that they get misplaced...

Not that I have a clue about what I would do differently (and I'm aware how nitpicky this is - and it's only directed to the need for the tool itself), but it'd be cool if somewhere there was a tiny loop so you could add it to a key chain or something. When I'm mobile, I have a fully packed Pax in a small 3D printed case, and the only thing I need to have is a tamp tool and a toothpick (to stir). It's the tamp tool I'm always patting my pockets to find:rant:.

It's funny you mention that, I've toyed with the idea of making a Scoop-N-Poke with a keyring hole for a while now, but never got around to it.

Since it is Stainless steel, it is magnetic which might help, but I see how a hole may be useful for the keyring, although I don't know where I'd place it - probably on the corner of the tamp, do you think that would impact performance? probably not

Thanks for the reply, Ratchet.... I have a few of your products, really like them!

See, that's the thing... it's hard to figure that location out. If there's a hole for a key ring anywhere near the business ends of the tool, then that means there will be a key ring getting in the way.

There is a tamp tool out there that is stubby, with holes in it, but the keyring gets in the way. (( I won't post the link to it... this is your moment, Ratch.))

Magnetic is always a help, far as I'm concerned. I have a couple of Neo's inside my little stash kit to keep tweezers and sharp objects to reliably and safely locate them.

IMHO, I would personally love to see something like your design, but without the scoop (only because I never use a scoop; a doobtube full of grind dispenses well for me). BUT instead of the scoop, something pointy enough to enable you to dig into the half-bake to stir it up (yet not SO pointy that it pierces clothing or skin!) But, the problem still remains about the keyring.

How about a Swiss Army Pax 2 tool  Grind, poke, scoop, tamp!

EDIT: I have removed some text because I've embarrassed myself asking questions for which the answers were right under my nose...

Final Question: Is your doobtube funnel a different diameter than your GrassHopper funnel, @Ratchet?

Well, I have toyed with the idea, but I still can't quite come up with a solution I like.

Here's a Stir/Tamp tool I whipped up with a keyring slot, but I feel like you'll need a large diameter keyring to make it work, otherwise I feel like the scrape side will get stuck inside the ring

Yes, I'm afraid my Doob Tube funnels are approximately 1.5mm larger in diameter than the GH funnel. So a Doob tube will not fit into a GH funnel.

I'm still waiting on my GH to ship before I can confirm that the GH works with a Doob Tube Funnel

Actually that CAD Lois pretty good. I don't think the scraper will get stuck; I'd say that it all depends on the ring. And you know, there may be a ring size that is problematic, but for the most part the radius of the scraper will either pass under the ring or simply not pass under it (& so what?!).

And also, from every angle I can imagine using it. it doesn't even have to be that long; it can be more stubby.

I have the doob funnel and just got the GH it is a smidge bigger...especially if you grind fine.. you would def lose some herb on the sides...I have a proper GH funnel on the way stoked!!! Also that stand (also on the way;)) looks super helpful!!

Love ur stuff man thanks!!

Not sure why I just quoted myself and now I don't know how to fix it...hahahaa im thoroughly vaped:ko:

Sweet, so if I shorten it by 1/4th you think that works?

Ratchett I love the "pitchfork" spoon I just got from you. It holds the perfect amount for a 2 bag Volcano session.

 I freaking love my scoop-n-* tools, I've been using the same Scoop-N-Poke tool daily for over a year now, funny how using the same spoon helps you control your "dosage" - so you know when you're overdoing it.

Still working on at least a dozen inventions behind the scenes folks, getting harder and harder to release new products but I'm always working! Maybe a few new partnerships coming soon, you never know what products you'll see on my store next :ninja:

Keep those ideas coming, I love hearing suggestions even if I can't work on all of them at this time.
