Oh man, I have a soft spot for Jimmy McGriff, his style is just right up my alley.

Jimmy McGriff - Groove Grease (with Richard Davis on electric bass, "weirdly" enough)

Oh yeah, me too! 68-74 is the sweet spot for me (don't enjoy the large orchestra format as much). I feel fortunate to have seen him play once.

The second CD of this compilation (starting with Groove Fly) is dope.
