OK I stand corrected!LoL no thanks, The TS8000 walks all over that and costs less with fuel for 6 months! I already have a creme brulee torch if I need to feel small.
Probably not.

Your making it harder than it actually is?As always.. i don't know if it is the right place to post.. so i'll do it here..
Saw these in a movie... http://www.ebay.com/itm/MAGNETIC-ST...160?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a90692d58

Do you think these can aid solvent purge.. (Ethanol for example) ? or can be used to refine oil ? (loose gases)

I just though that it can be used in alcholevaporation process.. Everytime i stir.. it seems to evaporate faster .. why not.. leave it without heat on constant stir..Your making it harder than it actually is?
Vacuum purge is one important step to clean concentrate.
Sorry if I'm out of context!I just though that it can be used in alcholevaporation process.. Everytime i stir.. it seems to evaporate faster .. why not.. leave it without heat on constant stir..
You mean use propane or mapp gas?LoL no thanks, The TS8000 walks all over that and costs less with fuel for 6 months!
use propane, mapp gas burns hotter than necessary and imo it stinks more.Sorry if I'm out of context!
I make BHO SHATTER because it taste the best however I need to purge it.
ISO, PURE GOLD, CO2 give me a bad head ache so I found my zone.
Again sorry!
You mean use propane or mapp gas?
The little $10 torch lighter works fine.use propane, mapp gas burns hotter than necessary and imo it stinks more.
sorry I may have missunderstood. is the gt8000 the blazer torch? ive herd those are nice. The little $10 torch lighter works fine.
I was going to get a GT8000 because they work well.
Plumbers torch I have already.
The TS is safer than the GT?sorry I may have missunderstood. is the gt8000 the blazer torch? ive herd those are nice.
sorry, I read back though the thread, I meant bt8000 for blazer torch.
The TS is safer than the GT?
The Ts is $54 = plumber torch
The GT is $51= chefs torch
My friend who uses the GT800 and brags about it say's it's safer than a plumbers torch?can you elaborate on your question? im not quite sure what your asking...
safer... in what way?
My friend who uses the GT800 and brags about it say's it's safer than a plumbers torch?
The GT8000 uses BHO
The TS uses PROPANE
Very cool! The maximum adiabatic flame temperature a propane torch can achieve with air is 2268 kelvins (1995 °C / 3623 °F).
The maximum adiabatic flame temperature a butane torch can achieve with air is 2243 kelvin (1970 °C / 3578 °F).
nearly the same...
There is more to it than simply the temperature of the flame. The object being heated dissipates heat which lowers it's temperature. So a smaller torch head will have a harder time heating a larger thermal mass like a larger nail...
so the real questions are,
how big is your nail(the heating surface area, how fast do you want it hot, qnd do you have a sound range that is "too loud" for you?
if your actually asking which is a better long term investment... I will not speak on the blazer brand as I have not owned it but I have a vector creme brule, a bernzomatic butane torch from home depot and a bernzomatic ts4000 from home depot.
the vector is dieing... I will eventually toss it cause I think its clogged from ronson butane... ive already replaced the bernzomatic butane once for the same reason... the ts4000 ive had a long time.... its had mapp and propane through it and I consider it my backup as it always works.... but is kinda overkill for my little 14mm domeless quartz nail... but I dont see it as a danger to the nails due to heat... I see it as dangerous in size cause i can be a clutz and a big propane job around expensive glasss..... one must be careful not to bang shit around....
long winded and confusing am I?
Very cool!
The question was more about gas?
Is healthier?
The BHO or PROPANE?
Off gassing?
So home depot for a cheap one.u mean butane not bho im assuming?
since most comercial butane has propane in it.... id say it doesnt matter...
since your not discharging the entire cylinder it wont matter... were talking 30 seconds or most likely a lot less burn time.
with a propane job like below its like 10 seconds.
and ive heard that the blazer is alot nicer.. I got my vector before they came out ..
just for fun I took this for size compairison... the ts4000 propane torch was $15 the vector $45 and the bernzomatic $25.
So home depot for a cheap one.
The GT8000 might be over kill?
my honest opinion is.... I use the smallest of my torches the most. the little bernzomatic butane on the right in the photo.... here is why.
I use a quartz castle style nail at the moment. it requires precise heating in the center of the cup. since the small bernz I have has a very hot large but precise flame (10x bigger flame than say a honest torch that came with the lotus)
the propane is overkill for that nail... but I didnt want to spend another 50 on a butane torch to repace the vector for bigger nails like the divited 18mm.
I bet your friend likes the blazer for creme cause its the best torch for that... but I think if a guy has a big ol dab essential ti domeless... my dinky honest pocket torch would piss its whole take trying to warm it up.... for that need a ts4000!
@ataxian what kinda nail are you working with?
as as far as price... although bulky... the propane torches are cheaper.
all the chefs at the Marriott I worked at had propane jobs.... I wonder if they have a forum discussing torches too... lol
My little double flame torch even works however I just wanted to gain a little time?
With my LOTUS it's like 5 seconds!
the nail is 14mm and the joint is18 actually... a lil narrow on the inside of the joint. thats why I like this nail... fits 14m 14f 18m14mm
I noticed gordo used to do work in 18mm too ... but I noticed alot of oil rigs are heading down in size while vape glass is going up? all depends on how much airflow you need... I see nice little rigs with 10mm joints but they are always micro....Oh wow, I wonder when Ryu changed that? All the 1st rigs I've seen have been 14mm. Then again you did get an "early edition"
