It took a while, and iDB and I had a bit of a mix-up – but the result is wonderful: the first bubble trap Prophet in the wild:

I think the photos speak for themselves – this piece is simply stunning!

Currently, I'm using it with the new micro dose bowl from CC with the Omega, and it seems like a dream team – a one-hit extraction at relatively low temperatures is no problem with this combo.

I was initially a bit surprised by the rather restricted airflow, quite different from the Calypso or the J-hooks I usually use. After a short familiarization period and adjusting my draw strength, the Prophet and I are slowly getting along, and I'm confident we'll soon be thick as thieves.

The Prophet is definitely a unique experience and quite different from the other pieces I own. A very interesting piece, and I'm looking forward to future experiments.
Yooo! That looks amazing … I gotta unwatch these glass threads because I truly want everything I see

I finally got my hands on a prophet, check it out! When I see it my mind assembles the blue parts into a jhook :)

Here it is with the ashcatcher all folded out:

Here it is the way i like to use it with my other awesome CC piece!

If I'd noticed in time I think I would have requested a blue ring on the base like the calypso but i didn't :D

Yeah!
Oracle will be another level up from the Prophet, incorporating those features along with features from Vertex and Calypso, it has the same complicated W pathway, only even more involved now, inside outside straight fab, with a simple bloop disc to use with water in the same orientation as well as dry... Smoothest tasty hits available?? We shall see hopefully soon enough :cool::luv:

Oracle might bloop too? 😳

Gotta sing the praises of CC glass microdose bowls.

Amazing how much a bowl can make a difference.

It just holds the herb closer to the heat than the regular bowl so it gets a nice, hybrid roast with some conduction but not as much as with a shovelhead. Much better extractions with this new design. And the difference in high is noticeable. It is the most full spectrum high I get from a bowl and usually I don’t notice much difference in my high from one bowl to the next.

I am still running one of the first Zeals.

I really see no need to upgrade yet, but am willing to hear anyone out if they care to make a case for upgrading my entry level ball vape.

I was just reviewing this thread and this Oracle looks to be inspired by everyone’s discussions in this thread since January.

What is the best CC piece? Vertex was highly popular along with Prophet and folks loving the new Calypso. I remember wishing the Prophet had an 18mm mouthpiece while retaining the rest of the functionality. The Calypso has a marble and a similar shape. The crazy, eye pleasing dimples through the Vertex. This may be the craziest CC glass yet. And the most functional. I love it on paper.

Haha yeah, there is no best, because they are all different, preferences differ, and situations etc. I think they could cover what anyone could possibly want perhaps nearly at least??

The Oracle is sort of like a hybrid between the vertex, calypso, and prophet. There are evolutions in the glass, that each seceding one incorporates, so perhaps others will be further updated eventually as well...

Here the marble is more purely decorative whereas in the calypso it is more functional actually, and yeah vertex is not dimples, that is the swiss holes with center cylinder fab, inside out, dimples are more like the spikes section as in prophet too. This one is nice because it can work with or without water, same orientation, with a lot of cooling pathway, regardless, just very unique and versatile it seems!

Impatiently checking discord daily, hoping for some Oracle news…I don’t mind waiting, I just don’t want to miss it! I missed the original Influx drop and had to wait a long time for a color 18mm to pop up. Other than Xeric and Vertex, I’ve got every CC piece, hands down the best non-heady vape pipe maker IMHO.

I don't think I understand the vapor path here. Does does the vapor exit the bubbles, go through the swiss/spikey section into an open tube going back down through the fab section, outside the main can and up into the small top section? In some of the pics there appears to be a tube possibly from the fab section up through the top to the small chamber? I'm kinda baffled.

Path goes around the outside of the fab and then around through the side tube up through the fab to the top.

There’s an opening at the top of the fab section. Minimal water, maximal cooling. Designed from the base up as a vapor rig.

So is the oracle supposed to work equally well used wet or dry?
This is what I'm wondering... I have had to stick to portable for nearly everything and haven't had glass in years (all still in storage), but I wanted to get something nice to use with my mighty/ALVP2 (when it shows)/Tempest 2/etc but have some versatility to maybe get a desktop rig going in the next year or so and use it for that as well.

I only want to buy one piece for the foreseeable future (let's see how that plays out irl) and this one seems to be a neat one that checks a lot of potential boxes...

A couple other questions:

Which one is the blue bubble trap and would that affect the ability to see the recycling action at work?
--EDIT: I think I answered my own question and it's the blue and clear glass style that is in a post for a prophet further up this page

Considering what I said above for my planned use, is the 14mm a smarter choice or should I always default to the biggest and get reducers to allow maximum usability?
