Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Thanks guys, just pulled the trigger on the fc 710 and a glass female to female adapter... Altogether cost £28 shipped to the UK, which is ridiculously cheap (I guess that's how they get us hooked with chronic GAS).

The reviews of the fc 710 sound like exactly what I'm after, and I saw an awesome slo mo vid of it in action, so thanks @Frederick McGuire for pointing me in the right direction.

Now I wonder what's going to turn up first, my glass from China, or my Grasshopper from never never land .

Yeah a carb would definitely work. Would you assume the drag is better than a normal single joint honeycomb perc since there are 2 airflow paths ?

Normally I just vape using my lotus WPA in a dry water bong and I'm looking to increase my glass collection as I've been promised a grasshopper for Christmas (very early to be taking about such things but we're uber organised)

So I'm after a 14mm or 18mm ideally female fitting to be used dry mostly if not exclusively, something that can fit the lotus, grasshopper and possibly minivap if I ever end up with one I can but dream.

Anasazri, there's a new piece Steven is working on that may fit your needs - the first sample is supposed to be finished this week, then an initial batch of 50 pieces.

It will be about the same size and have the same perc as the fc-710, but with a body inspired by the fc-mini, and a 14mm female banger hanger instead of a bucket.

I hope Steven has gotten better at making joints straight. A crooked joint on the devastator will absolutely ruin it, but not enough to get a refund since it will still function. As much as I've always wanted one, I'm going to have to hold off until I hear some success reports. Hopefully Hydratubes will follow.

Check out the UFO and GB or FC187's. Love my GB187 and others have shown much love for theirs, be they straight neck or sidecars. All top centered 18.8mm Dewar joints, so most vapes fit easily, though using a drop down can be tough.

IMO the D-cycler is good to have, too. But, it's 14mm Male - same as FC710.

If skimming through the thread for others, I'd suggest starting around page 500.

Popular pieces: fc710, fc711, Fc 187 v2, d-cycler, Fc UFO, cmmen egg (my favorite egg: I have the ccg egg and kathys egg too), Fc 186, gb 194. I think these are the reliable pieces that have been around awhile, and I have them all. I will be selling most of my glass on the classifieds soon. Too many pieces in my closet.

I've had the FC-Donut for about a week now. I'm still waiting for a banger to come in the mail but I've had a few dabs through it with a drop down. A bit awkward with the drop down seeing as it already has the joint pretty far from the mouth piece. It does give good flavour but not as good as the FC-710.

The glass is thin and the mouth piece is a little out of line from the joint and perc. The joint also leans back towards the piece a few degrees. No marks or scratches and no bubbles in the welds.

It came well packaged. Box inside a box with styrofoam between them. The piece was bubble wrapped and had newspaper to fill in the gaps. There was a fragile sticker on the box too.

I tried it with the solo but wasn't a fan. Not enough volume to milk it really well.

Where this piece excels for me is with the lotus. I had to carve a little dent in the bottom of the lotus cap to clear the stem. It wouldn't be an issue if the joint was flat/level. The mouth piece is in the perfect position to see the pan when heating.

I think it's overpriced but I'm still happy with it. I will probably use it as a travel piece as its a good all arounder and smallish. It will fit in a medium size safe case with my HI, battery powered VK, Lotus and accessories, and a banger and dab supplies for an awesome off grid weekend.

I was planning on contacting steven about some hydratubes once the devastator is out

I figure hydratubes are still kinda niche category of water pipe (then again, nectar collectors are getting popular, and a Hydratube is essentially the same thing...)

Almost useless for combusters, and even vapers need a vape that can hold bud upside down.

Once the devastator is out hydratubes can essentially be a complementary accessory for it

What do you like better about the cmmen egg vs the ccg? I actually just sold my CCG egg off because of a few crooked parts. I was gonna re order and hope this next one came out a tad straighter at the joint. But if cmmen has better construction maybe I'll try that store.

Also anyone got n opinion on hymenquartz 4mm bangers? I'm thinking 3mm is plenty thick, and 4mm might take to long to heat and cool off. Hell 3mm maybe too much, no? yes?

I have the cmeng egg in the lavender color. It is solidly constructed, and the function is on point, but it is far from perfect. The perc is a little high off the bottom, the top half is misshapen/misaligned with the bottom in one area near the joint, and the section of downstem inside the egg is super bent. That said, it's still my preferred piece for dabbing, ahead of both the kathy egg and d-cycler .
