Yes... definitely a confused seller. Stick with the ones you see discussed here in the thread. Confused sellers can make for a bumpy transaction, especially to a confused buyer.

Reason for the high cost? It comes with 9 others just like it! Keep an eye out for lots on DHGate. Your link is to a lot of 10. $33.51 is actually pretty cheap for a worked (well, let's say colored since DHG) piece - even from China. But, unless you have 9 friends who want one, or need more than a few copies to use as sex toys, you may want to look for something else or at least a single piece of this one. :D

Any online shops have cheap quartz nails that are actually good?
I've heard the DHGate ones are alright but you have to buy in bulk of 10, which i'm not down for.

I can vouch for the quartz cove! I ordered 3 atomic bangers from them , I had an issue with one of them and they swapped it out with no issue. I would highly recommend them and if you use the discount code :fuckcombustion I think you get a 20 or 25% discount.

That's really unlucky!
I hope you have other glass to hold you through til you sort out a replacement.

Whoever is in contact with Steven should let him know he needs to package his items to reflect the cost.
He offers some of the more expensive DHgate pieces but takes three or four times longer to send out and could do a lot more to ensure his items arrive safe. A fragile sticker would be a good start.

Hi all, sorry for the question- I've been trying to find info on here, specifically regarding the flavour of certain Chinese glass pieces.

I'm a bit of a flavour snob, and although I enjoy going thru water, I find it strips the terps too much for my liking. I currently own the Magic Flight Orbiter, and can run all of my vapes thru it (mflb, vaponic, lotus, Alfa, enano). I love the orbiter, but my one gripe is that the whips pick up a taste/odour after a bit of use, and it's pretty difficult to completely get rid of it.

Basically I want to find an all-glass piece for my vapes which seriously saves the flavour of herbs, and ideally has a 14mm female joint, as I don't have adapters.

If the 14 mm female joint is a deal breaker for you then your options will be fairly limited - a stupidly high number of China pieces come with 14mm male inlets :(

The only ones I can think of with a 14mm female would be the mini pillar (FC-711), or a quad showerhead bubbler I picked up.
The quad showerhead certainly wouldn't be for saving flavour.
The mini pillar isn't crazy high diffusion, but still probably more than what I'd recommend based on what you're after.

If you are willing to get an adapter too (they're available on DHGate for pretty cheap :)), I'd highy suggest looking into the FC-710 diffusion pump knockoff.
It's gotta be one of the most positively received pieces in the cheap bubbler thread, and it is specifically designed to help maximize flavour retention.

It's originally designed as more of a concentrates piece, but it still works fine with flowers :)

Wow, thanks for the quick replies guys! Yea to be fair it didn't occur to me to buy an adapter via dhgate too- great advice, and il defo be doing that!

@FlyingLow thanks for the info on diffusion- that's pretty much what I'd already discovered, but as far as percs go, I wasn't sure what's what, and what to avoid.

@Frederick McGuire thanks a lot for the info there- I'm defo going to be checking out the FC-710, that sounds like exactly what I'm looking for (even tho the name suggests it's not what I want ;) lol). Thanks guys, time for me to pop my China cherry!

@calyx Quartz cove is a safe bet. It is run by an FC member. I can't remember who but they are a big contributer to the forum. If I lived in the US that's where I would spend my money.

I have gotten quartz bangers from kathy on dhgate and they have all been good.

Hyman quartz has had good reviews here too but I remember someone saying they weren't happy with their carb caps. I just use a bottle top with a little hole punched in it. Makes a good seal and you can decide how big the hole is.

Yeah my first FC-1000 arrived with a broken base, amazing looking piece so it was a shame it was DOA thanks to shitty packaging :( Not a fragile sticker to be seen and it was wrapped mostly in thin newspaper anyway haha.

They sent a replacement which came with a fragile sticker--so the delivery guys don't play football with it--and more bubble wrap, not to mention in 2 boxes. A lot more acceptable, arrived intact and couldn't have been happier with it.

I've placed an order for Steven's torus now :D I know there won't be vortex while hitting it but Im sure i'll get the effect on clear (claisen/stopper combo). I asked specifically for a fragile sticker... fingers crossed.

I'm honestly surprised he he hasn't improved it yet given the number of pieces he's been replacing. None of mine from him arrived damaged but that may have been luck more than anything else. Some of the packaging from other sellers has been stellar, I think the best was one that used hard bubble wrap instead of a box and well wrapped inside. I'm pretty sure it could have survived a drop off a building or a game of hacky-sack at the postal depot.

The fragile sticker can be hit-or-miss, some postal workers treat it like a big red button with a "Do Not Touch" sign next to it.
