I tried my solo with the FC-186 (Stevens stereo matrix just in case I got the model numbers mixed up) and I felt the solo just had too much restriction for it to be an enjoyable pairing...

This combo was much nicer, the pillar still seemed to function well even with the restriction of the solo.

The drag from the solo was definitely noticable, but that's just part of the solos design...

I have disagreed with other members about how the solo pairs with other glass pieces in the past (eg toro microverter - I thought they paired nicely, another member hated the combo ), so it may just really be a preference thing, but im happy with how well they paired.
(Side note, IME the perfect mate for the solo is the old school VXL HydraCirc Hydratube - it's how I use my solo 90% of the time now )

First hit
Water level: Maybe 1/2cm water in dry chamber.
Pvhes 18mm gong stem.

After 3 hits at [4] I bumped it up to [7]
Same water level as before.

After that hit I poured out a bit of water to get it back to the "normal" water level.

Got another 2-3 hits out of it.

It definitely smoothed out the vapor a fair bit, as I didn't cough anywhere near as much as I normally would finishing a stem at [7].

What is the link?
The FC 186 works with my Herb Iron or NANO!
For the SOLO I like a smaller bubbler like the D020!

I dunno about the chinese honey buckets, one of mine doesn't hold heat very well and the ceramic that came with my Cmengglass Egg works much better.

Yea, there is absolutely NO reason that a peyote pillar should cost over $300 if it can be made so well for $70. Double that, and add some more quality control, and it would still be worth it, but over $300, let alone $700-1200 is absolute insanity.

I've got a D020 which I use with my Nano and Lotus. Looking to add a new piece of glass from dhgate, but a lot of the ones I like have those 14mm male joints?

Do they come with an adapter or something? As I can't seem to find a double ended female joint.

I'm using Steven's cake with a Crafty and think it's a great combo. They're even pretty much the same size. I'd highly recommend picking up a SonG from @Ratchett to go with it. Also worth noting that my W9 concentrate pen and even my Solo with a tipped Air stem work great with this bubbler and SonG.

I ordered a quartz banger and a quartz honey bucket from CFAB on Monday. Looking forward to being able to experiment with dabs at home on this versatile little bubbler.

Good news. CFAB was kind enough to send me the updated banger because my first one came with a tiny chip at the top and let them know it won't affect function. They send me this:



The one on the right is updated, with a higher stand setup. Fits perfectly so my coils are aligned with the bottom of the cup. I use the 20mm. Didn't mean to get off topic.
