Ordered mine last week. Im currently hitting a yq42 from sunshine store so Im really curious to see how this kathy piece compares!

Edit- it doesn't look like our new vendor will be around long, they posted in the Earl Jr. thread. Pushing the Alpine series, and on the website says these pieces can't be found elsewhere, well they didn't look here, or else they are talking about the labels! I advised them to take down the post and register with vtac but they just pushed their 20 stem tree in the recent acquisition thread, oy vey! :doh:

My issue is that just screams "breakable" to me, how far the stem sticks out. Nothing but the mouthpiece joint sticks out on the GB-187.

That and we really don't need two chambers and percs for vaping. Just take more effort to get the water levels just right and for cleaning.

When did I link a green piece? Lol, at first I thought you were bashing yoda! Then we would have to get MTV to do a smash off with claymation, I don't remember the name of the show, to pair up Yoda vs. Bender. But that wouldn't be a fair fight, though extremely humorous, indeed!

Can someone compare the d020d vs d020w pls (drag flavour etc.) I ordered both but my d020d arrived broken. So disappointed, it looked really well made aswell. I notice it's a little taller n slimmer than the d020w but just by a fraction.

I am not sure why this piece gets no love. I have seen it mentioned but no actual reviews. I think it looks sweet and ordered the blue trim version several days ago

Damn. I have been wanting one of these but I just ordered a more expensive piece so I am out for a while. I hope it is more than a single run. And I hope they come with longer downstems to reduce the necessary water level...

I just got home from work to find my replacement D020-W-2 with blue base and lip had been delivered. My friend dropped and broke my original which was the "clear version" in which the percs are still blue.

I was in love with my original clear one. It had wonderful construction and zero flaws. The best China piece I have purchased this far.

This blue version I received is just not as good! The constriction seems sold but it has its flaws. First off the joint has a slight dip in the rim, like it melted or something. Also slightly higher than my other joint. Second it has 3 scratch I have found so far. On the top of the base plate, on the side of the can, and also a small one on top of the neck. There is also like a scuff on the can. Last the mouthpiece does not flair out like the clear one and not as comfortable in my opinion.

Really wish I had just stuck with the clear version

The YODA cannabis strain is one of my favorites.

Green Glass is OK I guess it's just that some of the pieces I like are green so my buying slows down until the look and function match.

Strange, my blue base D020--2-w was delivered yesterday. The construction is perfect - welds are perfect and smooth, no visible bubbles or scratches, and my male GonG looks perfect. All in all a nice piece, though I do like my D020-W more than this one. However I will say with a female to female adapter, the Lotus fits perfectly on top with a awesome view of the hot plate.

It's been said before and I'll say it again, quality varies from piece to piece. It's a luck of the draw on the quality of the piece you receive. If you're smart and want to save on shipping cost, do like @BoogerMan and buy 2 or 3 then pick the best one from the batch.

Same goes for people who judge build quality by one picture from one vendor

The only thing that will remain relatively consistent between each piece will be the design/placement of percs, and the glass thickness. Everything else will change depending on who made your specific piece.

This is kinda interesting because this convo came up in this thread in early June and I don't remember seeing any mods weigh in. It just so happens that I agree with the policy (not that that matters) but I got the impression that nobody cared but a few members. Copy good, counterfeit bad and all that. Naked is the way... ;)

Love it! I probably wouldnt want it as a vapor piece, but as a combustion tube it's the shit. I can rip whole bowls in a single pull easily.

The mouthpiece is a little... odd? Looks weird cosmetically but functionally I like the smaller diameter mouthpiece.
