Would you guys be interested in a US made small recycler made from Schott glass for under $100?

My glass blowing friend is about to ramp things up and beings that he's not real well known by name (He used to own part of SYN), I told him Id help him out getting a grass roots thing started so he could sell word of mouth without having to try to get into shops.

He's working on a triple incycler for another member here and he's working on a recycler for me but he showed me some of the mini rigs today and they are impressive. I have a worked one he sent me home with because he wasnt happy with the base and didnt want to sell it. I also have a small worked tube he sent me home with just to post up pictures of. They will be forthcoming.

I can't speak for other moderators, but I don't usually read this thread unless there's been a report. If someone had reported the first counterfeit, then a moderator would have stepped in and cleared the air. I'm not trying to point the finger or make excuses, but we're not perfect and we can't be everywhere. Regardless of how vigilant we've been in the past—and I apologize for any lack—the intention is to confine counterfeits of any kind to our counterfeit ghetto. We ask that in the future, if anyone sees a counterfeit please report it.

Understandable.. they do vortex.. and this would be a mini rig. He's also going to do something along the line of Cory's recycler around the same price.

**EDIT** Just put some water in the mini he sent me home with and tried to pull water into my mouth.. nothing.. just a sweet, sweet vortex. This guy is the real deal. If you're familiar with SYN, you know what kind of stuff this guy puts out. This one I have is worked so Im not sure I can catch the vortex on a video.. maybe Mrs. PoopMachine will help out.

I have an early SYN beaker from 2008-09 or so when their logo was horizontal and it's a beast. Nary a flaw in the entire thing. It's better suited for combustion but I have milked it with a solo and my cloud. I can vouch for the quality of their early pieces. I always heard it stood for Smoke Yourself Numb, so maybe you can verify that for us @PoopMachine ?

That is true.

SYN has actually been sold. The original people (Fat Mike and Trey) arent in the mix any more.

I have a piece from that era as well. Its about 8mm thick. Just a beaker with a diffused downstem. We call it Frank the Tank.

Gonna take about 45 minutes to convert. Keep in mind this is a seconds piece. He wasnt happy with the base not being as stable as he wanted it. I have a worked purple piece that is REALLY nice.. its not my thing but Im going to post pictures and it is available if anyone wants it.

One of the best showerhead downstems I have a SYN. Its interesting because it's got a different shape than most showerheads I've seen.

Made to order... but Id be shocked if he got behind more than a day or two and thats really optimistic. He's really good at what he does.

Nice, ya I was thinking it would be more for combustion and also to show friends the amount of bang you can get for your buck with Chinese glass. Ordered the D020-D to be a vapor piece, and also to see the difference in delivery time between Kathy and Sunshinestore.

Dammit Dangus, you keep digging up pieces I like! I sold my double barrel cuz it was kind of sloppy, but I ordered a new one, It's the nicest rig I've tried. I like the larger size too.

The Do20 is definitely a solid choice. ( even if it was accidental). You will enjoy it. I have several pieces of differing sized and varying percs. I always seem to gravitate to the DO20.

You won't regret the D020 - I like to rotate it into daily use every few weeks - Get the D020-D (or my personal favorite - the D020-W) next paycheck - you don't get a break on shipping anyway, so why not have both??

How big of a difference do bubblers like the d020 make? Do they really cool and moisten the vapor THAT much? Does it really feel that much better, less harsh, and smoother?

YES! And more fun too! Try it, the average price of the bubblers found browsing this thread is low enough to try a couple different ones with no major investment.

I'd kinda like to see a water test of that perc, but the straight neck, the price, and of course the label make it less attractive to me. Not that $63 is unreasonable for a decent piece, it is just high compared to what we see here.

Well ya gotta use something. No Papers cuz no combustion. Stems can get hot. What to do, what to do? Ah yes! pipe it though some water that should cool and perhaps moisten. Better, less harsh and smoother are all personal interpretations.

So my D020-T + honeycomb AC from sunshine store have been working well enough with my LSV that I decided to hang on to them and hold off on a j hook for now.

However, I recently got an Underdog and haven't had as consistent results using its 18mm Nong with this set up (though i do get some nice enough hits). I might have better luck with the more regular 14mm gong short stem, but I won't have a reducer to try it until next weekend I think.

Anyway, I was thinking maybe an inline could help a lot in general, and also could be nice to get back to just one bubbler (without an AC), so I was wondering if anyone who has the honeycomb inline from Kathy could chime in about it?

Specifically if you also have a D020-T and/or the honeycomb ashcatch from sunshine, and an Underdog or other log maybe, to see if I'd notice much of a difference with this honeycomb/inline and if its worth another $42. Well, that is certainly nicer looking, and good production quality doesn't hurt either. :)

Truth is, we need a water test. "Should look like this" will never beat "It looks like this". :)

And may I add, THAT is a nice looking piece if you are into the straight pipe thing.
