Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Very cool! Glad to see the crazy uncle RooR in there. It's on my short list. I thought it was a little bigger, too.

Itching to get one, but my GAS is happily finally subsiding a bit. Have more pieces than I need (don't we all!), and summertime always cuts more into the disposable income. Been keeping to 3 for a while now, and with your comparison pic am thinking those 3 might do for a bit. Now.... about that VAS :dog:

I think the mouth piece is probably only off by 5 degrees, the bottom stereo and can-base is more noticeable but DAMN I am impressed by this glass for just ~$65. I have to say my GAS has settled, I don't think I will bother buying more for a while. I've got the d020, the d020-d, a Simba frit, and now this g186. I am made. The tiny RooR labels do not bother me at all, I wouldn't mind getting them off it is easy enough, otherwise they can stay. I have been calming down on the grass and glass lately, so fucking crazy at work and getting our new home ready I just haven't had the time. I get home after 14 hours of it all and just pass out! Can't wait until it settles down! Missing keeping up with FC and you guys in this thread in particular!

This arrived this afternoon, ordered from btoc_jewelry on 5/22:

Here's a shot of it next to my D020, for size comparison:

And here's a quick video:

The quality of this piece is really impressive for $56. It's a nicer piece than anything I've gotten from Kathy, and even seems cleaner than the bubblers I've tried from sunshinestore. This is by far the most expensive piece I've purchased from China, and over my self-imposed budget...and I have no regrets. It's a solid purchase.

Any recommendations on a low volume, low diffusion, high drag piece to use with a new Solo ?

The airflow is increased on the new Solos, so I figure something with a lot of drag would be a good combo for it.

I guess I have to get a new gong now cause the ones I have with the slits & grooves don't seem to be needed anymore and are overkill. Unless there's a piece to get that would compensate for that ? Be a shame to have them just collect dust. Together they cost more than alot of these Chinese pieces !

Prob just best to get the non PHVES gong though, I'm thinking. The bowl will just get hotter regardless.

(I don't have my PNWT anymore...smashed in the sink)

@bussinrounds, there's still a fair amount of resistance with the new solos, even with a pvhes. I wouldn't recommend seeking out a high drag piece.
You really think so ? Maybe I was that used to such a restricted airflow ? Idk..I liked it.

Maybe something with a med high drag ?

And if I'm gonna stick with my pvhes gongs, I'll need a piece with a 14.5 joint then.

I got my GB-187 and GB-194 in tonight. I am very happy. The 194 is a lot bigger than I thought. I will love it with my volcano. The 187 is amazing too. Both are solid and have minimal defects. They were packaged great and the got here ridiculously fast. Less than a week to the US. I will write a better review tomorrow with more pictures. Oh and I got a Y adapter and plug :) thanks @ataxian

EDIT:
Well I'm a little sad now :( I just cleaned both and the 194 has a huge crack in the weld between the joint and the connecting bridge.
Going to contact Yingmin5 now for a replacement.

Try a cheap low budget bubbler first.
The D020 is only $29.00 delivered to the USA.
Hold on to the PHVES GonG's they might work with the new SOLO.
Experiment!
$29?
Nice. That was the one ataxian posted in the solo thread. Got a link for that adapter I would need ?

Any other suggestions from anyone ?

A male adapter kind of like a ASH COLLECTOR instead of the mouth piece!
I would use a JHOOK (SHERLOCK) as a mouth piece.
Why ship a water piece with an attached mouth piece?
Kind of like shipping a sail boat with the sail's attached!
Doesn't seem like very smart business?
@Caligula
I would love to have a large volume water piece like you!
@charliedontsurf
If I got a G186 could you cut off the mouth piece and add a male adapter like a ASH COLLECTOR?

The logo can be removed with a caustic soak!
ZEP from HOME DEPOT I've used for that purpose.

Clean glass is important!
Baking soda and vinegar is only one step!

Yeah I read back to about post 195. I'm just curious how pieces are voted alongside each other. I'm only planning on buying like... 4-5 DHgate pieces. Probably going to end up selling like 1 (or whatever I don't like) and giving one to my friend and/or pops ;P. I'm just trying to come up with a nice variety xD. I know DHgate stores release new glass rigs all the time, but I think now that Kathys store is booming it would be a great time to dip in and grab a few :)

Start with a D020 = $29 (no brainer)
Get a D022 = $32 (I like this)
Then get a large volume piece like a G186, 187, 189. ( see what you like?)
The ASH COLLECTORS help me increase volume.
Adapters are your friend.

Be creative!

I was wondering where you acquired that mini solo buddy? I would love one for my solo so I don't have to pull it to clear each time.

@ataxian I dont think I would need an ash catcher if I was only smoking concentrates http://imgur.com/wTCtlND,H88540p

D022 is sold out right now, these are the two pieces I'm hitting right now http://imgur.com/iiJBhNL,So5y31V ; I'm just trying to improve from these. Right now just looking at YQ-42, JH012, JH018, and a few mini bongs.
I was only doing concentrate before.
I do both now!
However flower are the real deal!
Concentrates are processed left overs.

You can turn any ash catcher into a single-chamber bubbler by adding a j-hook or mouthpiece of some sort instead of connecting it to another bubb. That's what ataxian was trying to suggest, I think. Such setups offer a better view of the can than conventional bubblers/bongs and are a really good option for vaping.

Concentrates are the by product.

They are both the same product, really. And concentrates are the exact opposite of a "by-product"; They are the product of a process and the by-product is the resin-depleted plant tissues left behind.

They are the same product just that concentrates are processed.
Believe me I know!

It just rubs me the wrong way to read concentrates referred to as a "by-product". Lets go with;

Flowers are the raw product,
Concentrates are the processed product.

And neither is universally "better" than the other due to situational suitabilities and varying individual needs/desires.

I heard that the streets are lined with 5 meter colas in OZ?

Nope, we actually have some of the most expensive product in the world. Being nothing but ocean borders and also pretty isolated makes importation logistically expensive, so prices follow. Powders cost about five times what they do in the US here. Plants can be grown domestically so don't suffer quite so high a disparity but are still about double the US street prices because that local production doesn't have to compete with any foreign imports. And even if you're willing to pay such pricing, just sourcing personal quantities of meds can be extremely problematic, so customers are not inclined to quibble regardless of the cruddiness of what they're given and as a result the quality of goods floating around is not particularly impressive. :/
