@Mister G I like the JH017 Hitman knockoff. Never included that one in my medium rig list; any opinion on these four and how they may or may not stand up against that JH piece?

The only one from your list that anyone here seems to have experienced is the double barrel recycler, the JH012, there is a video of it somewhere in this thread.

The biggest problem with judging these is there is no size info, only Sunshine Store seems to provide half-decent specs. The funnel-barrel recycler JH017 could be very different depending on if its a mini or a small/med size, for me it is essential to know if it's a 10mm rig or not, I prefer an 18mm joint.

If you want the "best guess" at a decent mid-size pipe, I'd go with the JH018 - but I'd also wait for @Herr_Dempf's purchase to come in and hear his report, but you may not want to wait 2 weeks. If the funnel-barrel isn't the right size for me, I'm probably going to pull the trigger on that recycler or maybe even wait for better one, they are coming out quick these days from many different DH sellers it seems.

You seem to have a very bad case of indecision. For many of us, the cheapness of the piece is like purchase-lubricant. The only real way to know if these are right for you is to buy one and try it. With more experience, your future purchases will benefit from that knowledge and you'll buy with more confidence, and it won't cost you a fortune. Poop or get off the pot so to speak.

@ma0u sure will. It doesn't look to bad imho though. Perc slits are above the return opening, so it should fire propper, the reduction beneath the recycler chamber should help creating a vortex and there is even a reinforcement at the joint. Let's hope the feed into the chamber isn't to wonky and the reduction beneath not to restrictive, otherwise I feel pretty good about this piece. The image seems a bit stretched to me, joint and mouthpiece look a bit off. Imagine it will look a bit more like this:

I messaged B'Toc to find out the actual size of this knockoff hitman funnel recycler, but have not heard back yet. Now I think it is into the holiday weekend over in China, I wonder if I'll get an answer before next week....if at all...

@Mister G Very true, I am a bit choicy and indecisive. I mean I already have enough shipments coming in from Asia overseas from Amazon for my kreteks, hardware and other crap which makes me a bit on edgy about how often I have arrivals from China or Asia. I have the $ to spend, its just it never hurts to hear out a good number of opinions before buying a few rigs.

You can either use one of these:

or try to find one that is a 10/18 female/female adapter if you use a GonG stem. The other option is attaching some silicone tubing to the Solo stem and then over the joint.

EDIT: Oh sorry, didn't click the link. They only ship US&Canada, I found another store. The charge 25 US&Canada as well but 50 for europe. I wanted to save money by ordering 2 at once an the shipping increased to 75 bucks. Not really worth it imho.

I wish I was wrong, and it sucks cause it looks cool lol ;<. Its basically the same as the other rig I posted in my original post which brought up your citation of how small side arm rigs don't recycle well.

@Mr. Gweilo 420 Sure its a gamble, but if you're only buying less than a hundo worth of anything and ended up getting raided for it then that'd be kinda lame? lol. Usually it's best to purchase in decent or large sized quantity when buying frequently overseas since wholesale purchases from China are common.

...some of you guys really should read back a few pages in the thread for some of your answers on who's got these pieces and if they are good. I am seeing a lot of repeat questions. Don't take this personal, this is meant to be a simple reminder to new folks who just pop in and start asking with out looking back, if that's not you, then don't worry about it ... a lot of material has been covered already... in any case, I love all of my china glass so far. You can see what pieces I have listed in my signature... questions are good, its the repeats that start to stack up.

Know it can be a bitch - especially as fast as this one moves - but it's really not that difficult. And, try to consider how much more this thread gets bogged down with so many people coming and asking the same things.

As far as what they're usually asking.... IMO it's a good idea to look at all out there and take the plunge at what you think looks best. What I like (or what 10 FC'ers may like) may not appeal to anyone in particular. A couple of examples... for a few reasons, I love me a sidecar. Not everybody will like one. I also try to have minimal diffusion to keep the most flavor. So, stacking bubbles all the way up the can doesn't really appeal to me. Sure, it's cool to see and fun to do, but not something I want to be doing all the time. I'd rather have more flavor.

No way to know if your preferences are the same or totally different unless you start actually trying things out. At about $30 a pop, and a little patience for shipping, you could have a good idea of what you like and want for less than $100 - and probably sell off what you don't like for damn near what you paid for it!

Man up - grow up - whatever, and take the plunge! If you can get glass for about the same price as an 1/8th, and if you don't like it turn around and sell it for what you paid (or damn close) - just do it!

D020-W is really nice, and probably 3rd choice in my lineup now - but the jhanpixel can be had for $150 from US blower with thick glass and free shipping. Yes... that's 5x as much $, but honestly think I like it 6x as much! Tied for first place here with the nano (my Ben Wilson triple donut also tied in first). So from my understanding his company makes waterpipes and the client buying from him tells him what brand/logo to put on it. Basically he makes glass for brand name companies. He happens to be nice enough to sell some non branded pieces on his ioffer They are a lot more than DHgate pricing, but again the quality is brand name (perfect clean welds, high quality glass, etc). Given what we have seen produced and delivered on DHGate, and considering my lack of experience with quality (name brand) glass, I would be nervous buying anything that WASN'T a knockoff. I'm sure one could A B them in person and pick the real one, but I wouldn't feel comfortable knowing I got what I paid for in onsies. I would have to trust the retailer.
Same is true for name brand jewelry, leather or clothing. Call me paranoid.

I REALLY love it & highly recommend it, even in the face of so many cheap pieces from China. Diffusion is perfect for me. You can hit her slow and steady to keep the bubbles down for maximum flavor while still cooling and moisturizing vapor. Volume is perfect for me, too. When she fogs to the top, I know I have a good hit in there, so pull the GonG and clear. Probably about 2-3 times the volume of the D020.

18mm Dewar joint and sidecar just add to the beauty and functionality IMO. Stable, even with a vape on top and sidecar keeps the nano off to the side so I don't go cross-eyed with it inches away from my nose. Also like that the sidecar is on the left side (in use), so easy to grab the nano and GonG with right hand. D020-W is the opposite (sidecar on right in use). Not a real big deal, but jhanpixel feels more ergonomic.

Kept hemming and hawing on buying one and this one came up in FC classifieds. So glad I got it! So much so that I still hem and haw at buying a new one and selling this one. It's great! But, love it so much I want one that has always been mine and only mine.

Who am I kidding???? We all know I'll probably spend that $150 on 4 more Chinese pieces! Not sure if price may go up soon, but it was only $135 for the longest time. Just went up to $150 about 6 weeks ago (maybe a couple months - time's not really my strong suit!). So anybody interested may want to pick one up before they go up again.

EDIT: Thanks @BoogerMan . You must've posted while I was rambling on about her! Just to add to what you said... WELL WORTH IT! I don't think she'd survive a 4 foot drop onto concrete, but she could certainly weather more of a bump than any of my Chinese glass. Very well made, very thick and very solid for a more than fair price IMO.

I was all ready to buy the GB-187 but it does not make a seal with the cloud. I adjusted the joint on the cloud all the way up but it still fits loosely in the pipe. Still hits but not very elegant and wobbly. Could use a claisen or extender but that is cumbersome IMO

It fits my Cloud ok, although I had my doubts that it would before trying it. The Dewaar joint is recessed more than it needs to be IMO. It's one of the only complaints I can think of with the 187. I think QC (or lack thereof) will determine the fate of each individual piece's Cloud compatibility. So it's a crap shoot.

Finally got my 186 in my hands. No water leaks. One hair line scratch about a half inch long on the inside of the can in front of top stereo. Mouth piece is tilted clockwise maybe 5-10 degrees, not as much as the pictures we saw and worried about though. Base is not crooked but the can is joined at to the base a bit crooked maybe 5-10 degree incline from front.

All in all this piece looks very nice and appealing, the very minor defects mean nothing to me, it is worth exactly what I paid for it and maybe more!
