Got my GB-186. First impressions, are it is cleaner than my Do20 was. At first glance it looks very nice. But it has flaws. A scratch here, a little glass booger there, imperfect welds, slightly crooked perc. I don't think @ataxian will like this one because the mouthpiece is kind of bongish in its large diameter. Overall I like it. 2 ROOR Logos:shrug:.one black and one white.
Here is a video of the un-boxing. Warning it is upside down, and kind of long but you can fast forward. I couldn't figure out how to flip it over...

Here are some pics.

Here's a SloMo water test.
Finally the
MILKSHOT. @THC SCIENTIFIC might be interested in this part. Persei with 7.4v KISS cart doing the milking! This thing has almost zero drag! Even to overcome the stemless it still just purrs. The perc seems to fire everywhere despite the top matrix being crooked.

I haven't got the 186, 187, 189!

I take the D020 and with a CASIEN and ASH COLLECTOR I get perfect volume.

The 186 you recieved looks very nice and you will get some use out of it.

The bubblers are working for me for now. If you feel I'm missing out I'll have to get one. I'm working on a special project so my focus is redirected for the moment.
The 186 looks awesome!

Cool!

The one coming was $21 so if I can dab a few grams of shatter before I break it.

It's all good!

My ash collectors funnel so I guess I can use them?
@mvapes I am using my cheap torch for dabbing however it works however just want a little more power without breaking out my plumbing gear out.

Was it the Blaster GT8000 I want to use with my dabbing rig?

The GT 8000 is insane!

A genuine Matrix is a true work of art. The extra $300 is worth it just to see one first hand, :).

But for $46, the GB-187 has to be up there on the pound-for-pound bang-for-buck list. Hah

After much exhaustive testing with the Nöbius GB-186, I will now step away from the "dablab".:smug:
I like the 186 a lot. It really purrs compared to my Simba Matrix. The Simba is much more chuggy.
My testing culminated with several torch dabs with my Boro nail/dome on each. Overall I like the Nöbius better at 1/2 the price! The fit and finish of the Simba is better (even if they did put a Dewaar joint on a stemless:shrug:.). The combustion bowl they include is goofy as usual but this one is a new kind of goofy. :freak:
@yingmin5 thank you.!:tup:
Sleep now...

There are videos scattered all throughout this thread... many by me :D Just find one of them, and open it in youtube, then you can view all of my vids without having to search through the thread, same for the other youtube vids.

OH, and just stuck a Claisen adapter on top of the 187 and it handles the sublimator really nicely with this config...

I have that same piece (same color) from sunshine store. At first I was disappointed with the lack of turbine action liked I'd hoped (only saw a true turbine when filling with hot water to flush clean). And I didn't see any turbine action from the side view.

But when viewed from overhead, there is a bit of turbine action of the bubbles, which also slightly (almost unnoticeable) swirls the vapor.

Sadly the lotus doesn't fit without some sort of extension (the cap is too wide). But I still like it for the price

This cheap low budget set up makes me smile!
The TORNADO action makes my head spin like a Linda Blair film!

With a ASH COLLECTOR I can change the function of a water piece.

Give me a plain large volume piece and with some Mac Givering it functions differently!

The D020 is small however with a tiny bit of imagination?
Some love: D022, D020-T do well with this set up as well!

Just discovered my 186 is cracked at the joint where the stem is connected to the pipe. It POURS water.. I left a little water in it when I put it away and it was completely empty when I opened my cabinet up with a huge puddle of water everywhere. Guess we get to see how Yingmin5's customer service is now.... Man, I just cant win....

Here's another comparison for you guy's to see. this is a 65t with the water an 8th inch over the matrix.

Quite honestly - IMO Sov is at the same level as Mobius, here's a little gline 70mm down footage. Doesn't stacks like a Mobius but its super smooth almost zero drag. Someone once told me I had to have a sov stemline in my collection. He was write guys, do they make similar cans in a less expensive model?

I found a pinhole in the weld of the upper connection of the U shaped tube on the Kathy recycler, it leaks a tiny bit of air, but doesn't seem to leak water or effect performance in use, but I do hear it chirping away when I hit it. Hopefully it will not get worse, I love this little recycler...

I wonder with a hole that small if you can just patch it up yourself? The first thing that comes to mind is the stuff that fixes cracked windshields.

But then again my mind is not sober right now so please 'scuse me.

yeah, I've been trying to think of something like that myself. I can plug it with my finger, if I hold it just right, but really it doesn't effect the performance that I can tell. I think I am more concered with it breaking, but it feels like a pretty sturdy weld... maybe aquarium glue sealant??

Please excuse my immaturity for one second.

Grown up hat on: Unfortunately I don't have any glass expertise. But I'd think the defect should be sealed before it spreads right? There looks to be a lot of cheap alternative "glass sealants" as repairs on amazon -- one of them is probably the type you allude to. I'd probably be conscious of a product that can be healthy for inhalation? It's probably negligible but I've gotten overly paranoid about harmful chemicals due to my health in recent months. :\

Maybe an experienced glass blower can chime in?
