I'm still trying to finalize the sample order for 1 of each of those from the made in china site.

I've had a few emails back and forth, unfortunately they don't do PayPal (but they are open to setting up an account.)

It looks to be the same supplier (well, it's either the same supplier or someone stole some pics, kinda hard to tell when dealing with china :lol:), so at least I'll be able to chime in on the quality of the pieces once I finally finish the order...

They really don't seem too keen on the idea of selling singles, the best I could haggle them down to was this sample order, then lots of 12 pieces minimum... :(

I was trying to drum up some interest in a group buy before, but that's on the back burner for now until I can check out the build quality.
From my rough estimates, if I was to get a lot of 12, it'd end up costing approx $100 per piece (no profit on my end) including shipping here, then shipping to Europe or the US (probably about $30 cheaper for any Aussies interested)
Assuming its a good quality matrix (closer to a möbius than a D020-D/W) would anyone find that reasonable, or would you guys rather keep waiting and see if they become available through dhgate with postage to your respective countries for a bit cheaper?

In anticipation news, my order of a d020, d020-w, and frit ash catcher only took 4 days to get from china to Aussie customs :tup:. They've been stuck in customs for 6 days now, so I'm hoping to have them very soon (fingers crossed it happens today :))

Broke my Mobius last weekend.. not to where its non functional.. a chunk of the base broke off which was nuts. It didnt get dropped or anything... a pick from a SSV dropped about 8 inches and hit the base and a big hunk of the base broke. I would have thought the stupid little glass animal would have broken first but sadly, no. Still holds water, works fine, just is missing about 1/3rd of the base. Looking for someone to repair it. So far Mobius has been non responsive.

I could superglue it and you'd see the crack but it would be 100% but a Mobius deserves better.

Needless to say, a knock off Mobius is looking really attractive.

I actually own this piece and its pretty neat. Kinda huge for a recycler but I like it. That said, its about 190 USD before shipping so you might end up finding a cheaper alternative locally. Also, I don't think the Solo is a very good driver for a recycler, way to much restriction for my taste. I guess you'd blow a lung out trying to get this one going with a Solo attached to it.

I've seen your videos and like it a lot, I like the substantial size and the vortex. Currently I have only a solo but I plan on upgrading in the near future, the solo has far too much restriction.

Yeah, it's a fun piece to hit, just be aware that you are buying a chinese made piece with german QC. I've seen a VERY similar piece by Red Eye Tek as well, my guess would be they shop at the same place as Black Leaf/Blaze. ;)
I'd upgrade before you get the Blaze HC Recycler as it wont be much fun to use with the Solo. I will give it a try this evening and upload a little video, but I doubt I'll even get the vortex going. Don't get me wrong, the Solo is a great piece of gear, I just prefer using it as a direct draw unit.

I did get an answer from Yinming5, he is looking into it and will be back with me...

I guess its something.

@Frederick McGuire, Thanks for the proposal!! At this stage, I'm happy to wait it out and see if he will deliver or not!

In the meanwhile I can't wait for someone to get theirs and see if its all worthy.

Ok, will you take my word for it? Because I am kinda to lazy to set up my cam right now.
It does work.
That said, I had to become a human vacuum to get enough neg. pressure for a constant water flow into the recycler chamber. Enough to actually feel a resistance when pulling the stopper out of my cloud buddy/claisen adapter (seriously).
With something like a Nano, EVO (@ataxian, get it together :lol:) or similar, the experience would be much more enjoyable.

I do not really get Yinming5 answer to Diehard, why or why would you decide to sell less, there must be some other kind of reasons, perhaps, they have not produced it in quantities yet???

Yingmin5 told me the same thing when I asked about the 189. It's the economics between wholesale lots and retail singles and probably as much to do with the Inventory Control System than real world logic. The wrong # in a spreadsheet cell and you get wholesale lots of 10-12 only.

The 187 is the test now for yingmin just like how the d020 was for sunshinestore. If the 187 is ok (thanks early adopters!!), then we all here will blow up the individual sales of the 187 and make yingmin5 realize the "economics" of selling individually.

Then we'll all start email spamming him for the 186. But the 187 needs to be proof yingmin can make a quality product first.

Yes, it will require a small leap of faith for them to have confidence it is worth the extra labor/expense and that they can sell as many as singles as in big lots.

187 should be in some FC USA member's hands today or tomorrow based on what people have tracked via USPS, so let's get those pics and impressions in and the green light to go thermonuclear with Yingmin5. :evil::evil::evil:
