Just stumbled upon this similar cone shape one, but with a fixed shower head perc and downstem, that would probably make it work well dry...
Looks nice.

Speaking of using glass dry, I received my Cactus Cooling Whip from the Stash Shack that is a 14mm version of the Prophet I wanted to get. I've replaced the whip with one of my GVB mouthpieces and so far I really like it as a dry piece.

Look like more reliable, thick than the prophete duplicate I purchased at La Central vapeur

I feel your pain. I found the LCV version horribly restrictive, too. There's a nice South African iteration that's much better if you're feeling flush
Restriction was ok for me (with the vape I used with it) and the glass work well, but I had a crack and scratch and the glass is fragil. You need to be very carefull when you wash it

That one doesn't have the thick weighted base, but looks the same as this one. (I'd go with the thick base, but for travel maybe you don't want that):

I've posted this before here many times. With all the glass I have this is hands down my favorite for using dry. It seems to condense vapor, with high flow, that delivers huge clouds from everything. Don't hesitate, it's a wildly underrated piece.
So yeah, I got this on your recommendation a while back and I concur! It cools the vapor really well and there's a nice amount of diffusion, but not too much empty space so it keeps the vapor flowing. I like that it's small and easy to handle and I've been using it dry with the Tornado. Nice find.

What's a good 10mm bubbler[probably dry] for using a tempest on, prefer a non frosted joint for scratching. I have 14mm reduecer to 10mm that isn't frosted, would it be better to just grab a 14mm piece? I'm trying to decide if filling up small bubbler with vapor is better than just cooling it with a jhook...

I'd just go for the 14 unless you need the 10mm piece for variety/other reasons; it'll give better coverage. And you could get a 14mm WPA for it and leave the stem for direct use--it'll open up the airflow a bit and fit whatever pipe (or j-hook) you get.

That depends mostly if you want the moisture. I have small rigs for that purpose, but they can also work well dry, of course. If you don't intend to use water, the hook would be fine. A small tube would be fun with the Tempest, too, I bet.

A wpa is better because better airflow.
This one (v2) work well :

With water, this bubbler is nice with tempest (thanks to coolbreeze :)):

The Body Sherlock's built for the Herborizer and it reasonably priced @ ~$60. I use it with a variety of vapes; it's thick, very stable, it can do flavor roasting very well, and tbh, I don't think I've pushed it far enough for it to be hot. Should be available in European shops.

Just got an email for this thing, looks like it's at least $109 worth of fun. It's basically the TAG vapor rig hookah-ized, stuck in a cage, and lit with LED disco lights! I'm about half-tempted myself:

Thanks! Just ordered the sherlock.

I've never been a huge fan of the globes, but I am a big fan of the UFO. The air flow is pretty much wide open. I particularly like the UFO because with the joint you can put any kind of mouthpiece on it you want, including the whip they include. If you do like the whip, the UFO is a heavy enough piece that the whip doesn't move it around. I have it pictured in my spoiler.

And those big airy matrix percs make so much blowback it might launch your TM2 right off the joint! ; )

Incidentally, I don't know if everybody feels the same way, but I have never used a whip that came with a glass piece from China because I had no faith in the quality of the silicone. I have always bought my own medical/food grade silicone for using for whips. That may be paranoia, but I am breathing through it, and it's not that big a deal or very expensive to buy it on my own from a vendor who might be more trustworthy.

Maybe not the oldest, but possibly the fartiest!
Sometimes they send vinyl instead of silicone also cause, you know, they're not sending their best... ;)
I read that vinyl whips are better then silicone. I think I read this regarding whips from elev8, but I'm not sure.
Also, I think you mean 'cuz, not cause. Sorry, pet peeve.

I would recommend the newer models, the new FC mod, or FC 198, FC 199, the straight fab FOL, inline honeycomb, or others from SamL that are recommended more now here lately You can find them searching

Thanks for the suggestions.
In the meantime, I have decided that I would prefer a water filter that is easy to clean, i.e. where you can remove the chillum.

It is usually called a downstem, yeah the new FC mod would be the one to get imo the diffusion perc downstem (has nine holes with open bottom) and you don't need the ash catcher (but I would recommend an s shape dropdown adapter separately)

Besides everything I have read suggesting that silicone is a safer and better option, in my own experience, any vinyl tubing I have seen has always had an unpleasant odor and was significantly less flexible. Some vinyl came with an Herbalaire I purchased many years ago with an air pump for making bags and I immediately replaced it with silicone. YMMV
