That one doesn't have the thick weighted base, but looks the same as this one. (I'd go with the thick base, but for travel maybe you don't want that):

I've posted this before here many times. With all the glass I have this is hands down my favorite for using dry. It seems to condense vapor, with high flow, that delivers huge clouds from everything. Don't hesitate, it's a wildly underrated piece.

Look nice !
Like a saki bottle with straight walls.
You'll need to change the Downstem because this one looks like a slide+Downstem combo.

It's not. Standard two piece design.

What vape do you use with it ?

Ok, I'll bite.

Just pulled the trigger on it because I've been looking for good dry pieces recently. From what I can see on the forum, the glass dry piece held in highest regard seems to be the CC Prophet but I'm wary of order delays.

If the Prophet is the pinnacle but I can't get it, where do you think this piece ranks?

I wouldn't say it is necessarily the pinnacle, but I would say they are exactly nothing alike? This isn't really a dry piece, so it's just an empty chamber to fill in a cone shape

Yeah I didn't really expect them to be alike but I'm experimenting with dry pieces in general. I already have some nice hooks with balls and spikes and u-bends but now I'm trying bigger dry pieces.

I'm starting to see there's a balance that might be struck between vapor traveling quickly through the glass and hitting obstacles, and vapor that is allowed to diffuse and fill empty space. I think each of these has a different effect on how the vapor cools and how it tastes.

My best hooks are one extreme (fast vapor through bends and obstacles) and my recent globe piece was another extreme (pure empty space diffusion). The Prophet seems to use a balance of both and this new little piece I'm trying looks like just empty space but it is quite small with a narrowing shape so I'm thinking the turbulence might be different than things I already own.

I tried the FC-MOD dry and it was an interesting mix but also a bigger piece. Still experimenting 🙂

I will use it with water fo filter the dust of plant because of my allergy. I just expected that the airflow is good and that I will not drink the water each hit.

While it's an empty chamber to fill, I know we agree that chamber shape makes a huge difference. Globes/cubes are awful at evacuating the air to replace with vapor, or vice versa. What gets me about this particular cone piece is it whitewalls and stays thickly whitewalled, while clearing fast and hard like a steamroller.

I can't explain it more, but it gets thick vapor from things that I have a hard time doing that from. It even does it for very very restrictive vapes, like the Dani v2.

I have used it with water and it makes the most delightful classic chuggy bong sound. Water level is key to avoid splashback when hit vertically, but is fine angled. It's a really good piece, I should buy a spare. I've tried other cone shape pieces since that disappointed me (tag bubbler for one).

Thanks for your feedback. I ordered one. Test with TA3, tempest and tornado in few weeks I hope :science:

Looks interesting. Does it have a good stand or does it tend to fall over? Wanna use it with a ball vape.
It does not have a stand. Some can stand on their own but they're not built to stay upright and they would be easy to knock over. DHGate glass will always have imperfections so some may not even be able to stand on their own. You would need some kind of support.

Here is a picture of the Tornado with the glass sherlock. It's 18mm so I'm using a glass reducer.

The Body Sherlock's built for the Herborizer and it reasonably priced @ ~$60. I use it with a variety of vapes; it's thick, very stable, it can do flavor roasting very well, and tbh, I don't think I've pushed it far enough for it to be hot. Should be available in European shops.

Just got an email for this thing, looks like it's at least $109 worth of fun. It's basically the TAG vapor rig hookah-ized, stuck in a cage, and lit with LED disco lights! I'm about half-tempted myself:

Dies something similar to the cc xerix https://cloud-connoisseur.company.site/Xeric-c150259026 exist on dhgate?

You might want to check the j-hook thread for more? Pretty much every hook is there and plenty of footed options too

This is the closest:
Seems like it has a tiny perc for use with water though too, different mouthpiece etc.

The right angle spike hook is great, they can kind of stand, but they will fall, they're not made for that... Oregon glass blower and good vibes boro Make right angle hooks that are larger, and can have a male joint on the bottom, so they then sit in a stand for full stability if that is what you want...

Personally having a hook that stands up has very little appeal to me though

You say that, and I want to agree, but then I think about my beloved standing J-hook. My first ever piece of glass, four years old, 6 quid and still giving magnificent service.

Also some conditions (arthritis) make it hard to hold a j hook + a vape at the same time.
This is absolutely true although I don't think a ball vape is any trickier to hold than my other vapes. Most of mine have good hands-free bowls and are reasonably well balanced.

Wired ball vapes have the damn wire, but that's what you get for choosing to live in the past. 😄

Big fan of the Herborizer Sherlock. Removable base also makes cleaning a good deal easier with that pinched mouthpiece.
