Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I need to stop looking at this rig.

That does not help, I think I should just get it and stop the FOMO!
I keep telling myself to wait for it to go on sale.

And find out that my so-called counterfeit is made in China in the same factory as the American company claiming to have US-made glass...there are shonky fuckers wherever a dollar is to be made.
I also can't stop looking at it maybe for the last two years. That famous glass company does have a partial claim to being American, but their manufacturing must unfortunately likely be off-shore:

Every piece we sell is designed, prototyped, inspected for quality, and shipped from our headquarters in Austin, Texas

The following has a LOT of draw resistance, the reason I do not like it much, but if that is what you want,

I love to watch turbo percs, but fritted perks are going to have a ton of resistance like you say. It would be better to get an open draw piece with a removeable fritted ash catcher, wouldn't it? I gotta ask the questions, or I'm not going to learn...btw nice use of rubber bands!

Hi Folks, here is my latest arrival. It’s the Othership Exosphere from glassgallery420.com. There are many versions of these out there but are mostly 7 and 8 inches tall. I try to stay at 9 minimum so began looking. This one is sold as 9 and was 8.75 and close enough for me. I wanted something easy for one hand and this is it. At 3in. diameter the sphere is just a hair larger than a baseball and a pleasure to hold. It cools really well for a small amount of water and 3 SOL percs make for an open draw that I like.👍

Meanwhile I already pulled the trigger on these 14 mm hydro tube and u turn adapters, getting a few dollars off each, so cheap:

Haha yeah the U-turn have many purpose, I think they are designed so you can use hydro tube like a bubbler, but also originally I think they are designed so you can connect e-cig things to regular bubblers...?? I have Sai setups that I don't really like to use so that's not really my goal but so many uses!

I already have Pinnacle water tool hydrotube, which is basically the same thing, it does work well, I like that this has the narrower curved sipper style mouthpiece though... Should also make a good option for a double perc bubbler mouthpiece, too many uses!

Well even though these came from different sellers, they arrived yesterday together just like I ordered them together, took exactly two weeks!

Using the adapter with the tube it becomes like a two part wet hook, works pretty well actually!

Really nice as a mouthpiece for the octa base though, just need the right water level and airflow...

If alternative down stems are needed, these holed seem quite nice, they have these slitted too not sure if they will be the right sizes necessarily though...

Same great shop that has the grav upline bubbler, also they have the tall upline rig in the grav style here (seems nicer than other DHg versions from other sellers) only like $34 with coupons now...
Screenshot-20220607-120758.png

Oh and they also have this ashcatcher version of the circ perc to ladder perc of the upline bubbler here too...
Screenshot-20220607-121055.png
That skinny upline is all over my searches, but it creeps me out! Weird, but true, though maybe it's how illogically weighted it seems--top and bottom heavy. But aren't the bullet holes just that--holes that restrict but not too much? Or do they help with "stacking" if that's really a thing? The ash catcher is cool.

I won't get to test this out until tonight but it looks like a good time to me 😁
Nice, a Dyna and Enano XL together at last with the great MK2. Does that mean if I get this glass I can buy another log vape?

I have been told the water hammer has a 14mm joint and I asked them to change the listing to suit,

Nice, they don't always correct, it wasn't yet, but when I did point out free shipping on something they did adjust with a new listing entirely...

Haha yeah it is a very commonly copied piece, but they are not all created equal, this one seems the nicest closest to the original, someone else called this style the barbell because of the shape lol Yeah they are holes, multiple choke point holes, creating a natural perc, so it's not going to bubble stack the same way like gridded type perc, it would instead give you a lot of water movement with a lot of water but minimal diffusion, cooling with flavor retention, is the idea? But it has quite a bit of chug and restriction I believe... The ash catch should be the smoothest least restrictive with its circ perc and ability to put your own mouthpiece or hook rather.

Haha you can always buy another log vape, and more glass, and more vapes, and more glass... :mental:

Meanwhile my last 5/12 order from allaccessary arrived today, despite the tracking not showing any change since 5/16, this drop down and this 45° angle adapter (puts the mouthpiece at a slightly different angle than this other one I have from them to mix it up a bit! also have one coming from Biao now with my color recyclers too)

Does that dropdown work on a Matrix sidecar with a dewer joint or similar? The version I got had the joints the other way around and the male joint will not let the dropdown clear the edge of the can. If it does work on those style cans do you have a link to that specific dropdown?

Edit, the listing for the water hammer has been updated to correctly say 14mm,

I did link that specific drop-down, this is the 18m-18f, the orientation may depend on the exact size, that is the case with the other drop-downs from this seller... I don't have that rig (another reason I hate it), but their drop downs seem to fit more than expected?

I bought one of these and then ordered a second as a back up. I had 14mm stems already. I ordered cooling stems from Rogue Was Works which are in the mail.
This looks like a great deal for the price, but I would think it might be difficult to keep upright depending on what you have hanging off it. It doesn't have much of a base...

I want to combine it with a digital heating jacket for warm water a whole evening. I think that should stabilize it too.

Ok, had to grab one of these at Dynavap (just the glass, not the vong):

Made in China under Germany's Near Dark/BlackLeaf/Blaze, it's thick and should be decent build quality. Couple things I liked: it should be big enough to be comfortable with torch vapes; This perc looks like a giant matrix and hopefully it's big and airy without a lot of back pressure. The $55 price seems in line with what you see around the world.

Hi Folks, happy Fathers Day. My first dhgate pieces are here. A Sheldon Black clone and Big Bertha UFO. Both got here in about 18 days, one thru Chicago and the other thru LA. The downstem on the SB clone is a little wobbly but seals ok. This piece seems a little restrictive so far but not by much and I have only tried with Anviland Taroma so far. Great and lots of testing ahead. Already looking at a couple of TAG downstems. Big Bertha seems flawless in build and function. Loving that open UFO perk with my Heady Atlas and it rips hard as you want. The SB flat mouthpiece is nice andI use it on both. OGB adapter and mouthpiece are ordered and will lower it just right I hope👍

Posted the below photo in another thread, since the mouthpieces were expensive US glass exclusive customs, but it does show how I am using the adapters from above

for my two modular go-to's (that male to female 45° angle adapter on table between them is what I use with the goo color mouth piece that you almost see behind the atlas)

Got this today, played with it for awhile, it's...really something. It's sorta cartoonishly large: everything about it is just a little too big. As a result, I feel like the hit is too open. Another thing is that each hit is indeed a giant piston of back-pressure, despite the narrowing and angles. My DLX one was a confetti cannon!

On the other hand, it works great with a VonG! It draws fairly effortlessly with the port closed and provides great cooling. A couple hits in where the tip is cooking the hits are large and cool. There's not much flavor that makes it through the perc, which is probably ok: this thing's one real justification is it cools lungfuls of vapor. It works great with something like the FMJ (or Anvil), where a big blast of vapor is just waiting to be pulled through.

The build is solid and clean, the glass is thick, the base is big and stable. It's nicely made.

Upshot: it's a great choice for the Vong, FMJ, Anvil. It's not a great choice for bowls or torch vapes unless your slide-pull discipline is rock solid or you're prepared for the abv-storms.

Edit: Hah, Hah! It's the worst! Shit's everywhere! I may need to tighten my caps so the back-pressure doesn't blow them off the tip! It's like some Bondian spy-weapon where you take a huge toke and then the released back-pressure fires a red-hot slug at your unsuspecting adversary.
Anyhow, as long as I remember it's for hermetically sealed vapes only, I should be fine.
